Problem with App Review
Hello, My app was rejected because of App Review Guideline 4.3 – Design Spam. I developed Dynasty of Sic Bo, an exciting game that combines elements of roulette and dice rolling. Players can bet on different dice combinations, testing their luck and strategy to win virtual riches. The game is designed to be simple and enjoyable for beginners while still engaging for experienced players. I’ve tried multiple times to understand the exact reasons for this rejection, but all my efforts have been ignored by App Review. None of the changes I implemented resolved the issue, and I still don’t know what specifically needs to be addressed. The app’s concept, gameplay, and design are entirely original, and I haven’t copied or reused content from other apps. While the game shares a general theme of dice-based gambling, I worked hard to create a unique experience with polished visuals, engaging mechanics, and a dynamic atmosphere. I don’t understand how to proceed or demonstrate the originality of my app, as I ca

App Rejected: Could Use Help Identifying What is Causing Rejection
I submitted my app, Limelight, to be reviewed for publication. Quick summary of app and functionality: Upload a photo and AI will scan image and tell you what you're watching and which actors are in the scene Browse and get details about movies/tv shows For movies/shows the user can see ratings from 4 different rating sources (Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Matacritic, TMDB) Find where to stream the movie/tv show I am using TMDB API to get the movie/tv show data. My app was rejected because: Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. I can absolutely see why an app that is just a movie/tv show browser would be rejected, but two major features (AI photo identifier and ratings from multiple sources) are included with this app to make it an overall better app as a whole. Does anyone have any insight on why my app would be rejected if my app has two major differentiati

Reply to App Review rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Thank you for your post. There are several factors that may contribute to an app not following App Review Guideline 4.3. Typically, these apps share a similar binary, metadata, and overall concept as apps already on the App Store, with only minor differences. If you have questions about App Review's review of your app, we recommend requesting an appointment with App Review during the bi-weekly Meet with Apple Experts event. Sign in with your Developer ID and select App Review Appointment. A member of the App Review team will help you with your questions regarding the review process and the App Review Guidelines. Appointments are subject to availability during your local business hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

App Review rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello, My app was recently rejected due to App Review Guideline 4.3(a), which states: Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. The feedback provided was: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. This has left me quite confused. I have only one app, Fly2enjoy, which I originally uploaded on Android and am looking to upload it also to iOS. I don't have any other active apps on the Apple App Store. The app was developed with the intention of being unique, and I have not repackaged or copied another app. Additionally, I only have one Bundle ID associated with my app. On Android, th

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone In August 2024, I published my first app in the apple store. It took me several months, at first I received 4.3, but then I filed an appeal and it was positively approved. I finally released my mobile application. After that, I successfully released updates several times. One day I tried to release an update, but I got Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam again. How does it work? Why do I need to prove again that my app is worthy of being in the app store? Considering that the app already has positive reviews and ratings. Doesn't this mean that the application

Extremely Original AI/ML Game Rejected due to 4.3 Spam. Tips on appealing?
I have submitted my game app for review (first release) but it was rejected due to Regarding guideline 4.3, we continue to noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.. I've made attempts to explain to the reviewer on the originality but no success. Some unique features of the app: Arcade style platform with multiple mini-games All games have unique mechanics, and they are supported by AI/ML algorithms to alter the difficulty based on the user's prior performances Various modes to compete with other users for rewards There are more but I prefer not to go too much into detail publicly as I strongly believe that it's an original game app, and don't want to disclose the full design; Happy to be proven otherwise. Essentially, I didn't find any games in the app store with AI/ML to alter the settings per play with competitive aspect involved. This was explained to an app reviewer during a 1:1 consulta

Apple keeps preventing us for updating our app
It has been over a month since we first attempted to update our app. The issue we wanted to resolve is a bug that prevents in-app purchases from functioning properly. Fixing this bug was crucial—not only for our users but also for us as a company. However, what seemed like a simple fix has turned into an absolute nightmare. Despite our app successfully undergoing 20+ updates in the past, we now face a consistent rejection under guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. Every single submission has been met with the same response. We’ve made significant changes to the app, introduced numerous features, and thoroughly reviewed every aspect, yet the rejections persist. Desperate for clarity, we scheduled a call with an Apple representative. During the call, we were told that the issue was related to our app’s screenshots. We accepted their feedback, updated the screenshots, and resubmitted the app—only to be rejected again. Since then, we’ve submitted the app three additional times, each with new sets of screens

Apple is preventing us from updating our app
In December 2022 we published an app. Since then, we published countless updates, never had any problem with the app. We have hundreds of new users daily, got far more than 100k downloads in total, have paying/subscribed users. The beginning of December 2024 in app update that shoudl fix a crucial bug, we suddenly received this rejection: _Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam: We continue to notice that your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps._ What makes it even worse is: In our latest update that we published is a very crucial bug. Literally just days after we noticed this bug we fixed it and sent another version for review. Since then the rejections happened. I do not understand why Apple, out of nowhere, suddenly, prevents us to update/fix our application. It caused us

Getting rejected with: Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone, I'm stuck here, i have developed an app, and i keep getting from Apple Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam - We continue to notice that your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. As i was looking around this seems to be so much an issue now for many people and i don't understand why. My app which is approved in Android already it have an unique design built my own, and the most important the content (in this case futures crypto signals) are created by my own strategy, so it can be no where else found. I literally have no idea what to do next, i don't want to do major changes because i don't believe the app looks similar to any other app and for the reason that its already in Google Play Store i don't want to do major UI design. We would greatly appreciate any valuable advice from fellow developers in the community to help us navigate this challenge and successfully pass the review

White-labeling multiple apps using custom app distribution - Guidelines clarification
I'm looking to distribute multiple versions of an iOS app, each customized with different branding for various clients. I understand that for public App Store submissions, guideline 4.3(a) prohibits multiple Bundle IDs of the same app to prevent spam. My question: Do these same restrictions apply to Custom App Distribution (unlisted apps)? Is it permissible to submit multiple white-labeled versions of the same core app through Custom App Distribution? I've reviewed the Custom Apps documentation but couldn't find clear guidance on this specific scenario. Any insights from developers who have experience with similar situations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Question About App Store Approval for Similar Apps
Hi everyone, I’ve been reading Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, especially the part about avoiding similar or duplicate apps (Section 4.3 on Spam). I noticed that the apps 航旅纵横 and 航旅纵横 Pro are both on the App Store. From what I can see, the two apps have some overlapping features, but the Pro version adds a few extra ones. I’m wondering how Apple approves apps like these. Are there specific rules or justifications developers need to follow to get similar apps approved? Thank you for any advice or insights!

Seeking Help: App Rejected Under Guideline 4.3 - Alleged Similarity with Terminated Account
Hello everyone, I am seeking advice regarding a recurring issue with our app, YouMi UM, which was rejected due to alleged spam under App Review Guideline 4.3(a). The review team stated that our app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept with apps previously submitted by a terminated Apple Developer Program account. Our app, YouMi UM, has been successfully launched on the Android platform, and we have invested significant effort into its UI design and features. However, when submitting to Apple, the review team pointed out similarities between our app and others submitted by different developers, particularly in terms of binary files, metadata, and concept, which led them to believe it might violate Guideline 4.3. Our app is independently developed, with all code and design being original. We have also added several unique features, such as real-time news widgets, branded dynamic toast notifications, and exclusive scene transition animations, which are not commonly found in similar

App rejected into beta testing design spam.
I recently submitted my app, Ai voice changer - Video effects (Build version 1.0.0 (2)), for beta testing and received feedback indicating that my app was rejected due to a violation of Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. The rejection email states that my app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept to apps already submitted to the App Store, with only minor differences, leading to the classification of my app as spam. I would like to respectfully request clarification regarding the specific aspects of my app that led to this rejection. I have ensured that the app I submitted offers unique functionalities and has been carefully designed to stand out from other apps in the same category. The features of my app, including apply voice changer effects on videos, were developed with originality and are intended to offer a new experience to users. To provide additional context, my app was created using a unique approach and has distinct features compared to other voice changers available on the App
