Rejected for Guideline 4.3a - Spam
Hello, I posted this on one of the other forums, but I think it fits better here. One of our apps has been rejected under Guideline 4.3 for spam. Our studio has been on the App Store for 10+ years and this particular app has been available for over two years without previous issue. We have submitted a couple responses to the original rejection outlining why we think our app is unique and not spam and unfortunately we have been rejected. I have also submitted an appeal and requested a phone call. This is compounded by a live issue happening in our app right now that requires a build to unblock. I added that to our review notes for submission but was rejected. We believe we have been flagged as spam in error and would like to release builds to our active players ASAP to get them unblocked and provide further value to them. Beyond submitting an appeal and requesting a call is there anything else I can do?

Review-Spam 4.3
Hello, It has been almost a week since I submitted an appeal, but I haven’t received any response yet. Additionally, my app has been in the review queue for three days without any progress. This delay is quite frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing similar delays? Any suggestions on how to speed up the process? Thanks.

Thank you for your post. There are several factors that may contribute to an app not following App Review Guideline 4.3. Typically, these apps share a similar binary, metadata, and overall concept as apps already on the App Store, with only minor differences. If you have questions about App Review's review of your app, we recommend requesting an appointment with App Review during the bi-weekly Meet with Apple Experts event. Sign in with your Developer ID and select App Review Appointment. A member of the App Review team will help you with your questions regarding the review process and the App Review Guidelines. Appointments are subject to availability during your local business hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

App moderation process problem
Hello, My app was rejected because of App Review Guideline 4.3 – Design Spam. The response I received states: “We noticed your app shares similar features, interface design, and functionality with other apps available on the App Store. Apps that duplicate content or functionality from other apps without adding significant value or unique user experiences are considered spam and will not be approved for distribution.” I developed Plinking Platform Rise, a reaction and accuracy game where players control a platform to balance a ball while avoiding obstacles. The game becomes more challenging with each level, and a dark mode adds an exciting element by reducing visibility and requiring greater precision. I’ve tried multiple times to understand the exact reasons for this rejection and made several updates to address potential issues, but all my efforts have been ignored by App Review. None of the changes I implemented led to a resolution. This is the first app I’ve submitted to the App Store, and I devel

Problem with App Review
Hello, My app was rejected because of App Review Guideline 4.3 – Design Spam. I developed Dynasty of Sic Bo, an exciting game that combines elements of roulette and dice rolling. Players can bet on different dice combinations, testing their luck and strategy to win virtual riches. The game is designed to be simple and enjoyable for beginners while still engaging for experienced players. I’ve tried multiple times to understand the exact reasons for this rejection, but all my efforts have been ignored by App Review. None of the changes I implemented resolved the issue, and I still don’t know what specifically needs to be addressed. The app’s concept, gameplay, and design are entirely original, and I haven’t copied or reused content from other apps. While the game shares a general theme of dice-based gambling, I worked hard to create a unique experience with polished visuals, engaging mechanics, and a dynamic atmosphere. I don’t understand how to proceed or demonstrate the originality of my app, as I ca

App Rejected: Could Use Help Identifying What is Causing Rejection
I submitted my app, Limelight, to be reviewed for publication. Quick summary of app and functionality: Upload a photo and AI will scan image and tell you what you're watching and which actors are in the scene Browse and get details about movies/tv shows For movies/shows the user can see ratings from 4 different rating sources (Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Matacritic, TMDB) Find where to stream the movie/tv show I am using TMDB API to get the movie/tv show data. My app was rejected because: Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. I can absolutely see why an app that is just a movie/tv show browser would be rejected, but two major features (AI photo identifier and ratings from multiple sources) are included with this app to make it an overall better app as a whole. Does anyone have any insight on why my app would be rejected if my app has two major differentiati

App Review rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello, My app was recently rejected due to App Review Guideline 4.3(a), which states: Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. The feedback provided was: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. This has left me quite confused. I have only one app, Fly2enjoy, which I originally uploaded on Android and am looking to upload it also to iOS. I don't have any other active apps on the Apple App Store. The app was developed with the intention of being unique, and I have not repackaged or copied another app. Additionally, I only have one Bundle ID associated with my app. On Android, th

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone In August 2024, I published my first app in the apple store. It took me several months, at first I received 4.3, but then I filed an appeal and it was positively approved. I finally released my mobile application. After that, I successfully released updates several times. One day I tried to release an update, but I got Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam again. How does it work? Why do I need to prove again that my app is worthy of being in the app store? Considering that the app already has positive reviews and ratings. Doesn't this mean that the application

4.3: SPAM - App Rejected - not reading my replies
Hi, I am a freelance developer who built a CRM and as part of the package provide a ToDo application. I managed to convince a client to get a White-Labeled solution for the application from me & uploaded in the client's developer profile (My profile has full developer access). Now, when I am uploading my original app for my other CRM users - App Store Review team is rejecting the app with the following message: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.. They mention - other developers; but the other developer is me - having full access rights. I have replied to the rejection 4 times with these comments & I feel they are just not reading my comments. Its disheartening to see that all the work you put in, apps get rejected for absolutely no reason. I have already

I have submitted my game app for review (first release) but it was rejected due to Regarding guideline 4.3, we continue to noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.. I've made attempts to explain to the reviewer on the originality but no success. Some unique features of the app: Arcade style platform with multiple mini-games All games have unique mechanics, and they are supported by AI/ML algorithms to alter the difficulty based on the user's prior performances Various modes to compete with other users for rewards There are more but I prefer not to go too much into detail publicly as I strongly believe that it's an original game app, and don't want to disclose the full design; Happy to be proven otherwise. Essentially, I didn't find any games in the app store with AI/ML to alter the settings per play with competitive aspect involved. This was explained to an app reviewer during a 1:1 consulta
