I've seen several stories posted in 2014 that Apple looked like they were going to allow developers to generate promo codes for in app purchases.http://www.macrumors.com/2014/05/15/developers-promo-codes-in-app-purchase/But I haven't seen any evidence of this. I have a free app with a subscription model using non-renewing subscriptions to access the data.I would love to be able to offer a free trial of a couple days like Android IAP allows so that users can see what is to offer, or barring this, a promo code to a subscription. From what I can tell, Apple does allow trials for auto-renewing newsstand apps, but ours doesn't fit that. And somehow EA got permission to give out IAP promo codes, but us smaller developers don't have that option.

Upgraded to 10.11 this morning. At first my Logitech MX Master had a perfectly working mousewheel. Now it just stopped working. I tried the following things:Reinserting the unified adapter thingyRestarting my PCRemoving the Logitech control panel softwareConnecting to the same laptop using bluetoothScrolling using the two-finger gesture does work.
So I'm trying to debug a swift app with LLDB and ever since I incorporated cocoapods, I get this error when trying to use po on any variables or objects.error: <EXPR>:1:1: error: use of unresolved identifier 'self'I have checked all the optimization settings for my targets and project overview and everything seems correct according to other forums posts that used to be here. This is happening with xcode 6.3.2 and 6.4 beta 3, I havent tried with xcode 7 yet because I dont want to convert my app over to swift 2 yet. From what little I have learned it might be an xcode bug, but since its really difficult to debug complex apps with random println() I'm following up and trying to make sure I didnt miss some random setting that might be affecting this.Thanks.

Anyone have an issue getting the PiP (picture in picture) to work on Ipad? I have the ipad air 2 and was unsuccessful with my attempts to get it to work.
Same here. Yesterday it told me that the code redemption system was unavailable. Today the app store opens, but nothing happens.

It finally worked! If you are not in the US, try downloading a VPN client (i.e. Hotspot Shield) and redeem the code. You can disable it later and continue the download. Atleast that's what worked for me 🙂 Hope it works out for all of you as well

Hi ! Yep you're missing it 😉 native apps are always linked to an parent iOS app for now. what's native is that watchkit code is now executed on watch. so it's the same way that before, Apple does the Job.what you have to do is call Webservices via the watch kit app for exemple. instead of calling the parent app.

Got it!Copy your redemption code from the El Capitan download link.Open the App Store and make sure that you're signed in with your Developer Program Apple ID.On the Featured page, under Quick Links (on the right hand side of the page), click on Redeem.Insert your code and click Redeem. If it tells you that it's unavailable, just keep clicking (rapid fire style). This worked for me and OS X 10.11 is downloading now.

I was thrown off by the WatchKit App terminoligy used, too. I was expecting there to be a watchOS app option. But the WatchKit app selection is what you want. All watch apps linked against watchOS 2.0 will install the Watch Extension on the watch vs on the device. Here's a link to the relevant transition guide:watchOS 2 Transition Guide

I have a release awaiting review. I got a watch through the lottery Apple ran (thanks).I want to install 2 and start doing the new version, but if I have to duplicate things on the existing version I would be screwed. What are other people planning? I guess if the flashing process is quick I could just reinstall the OS each time.
That appears to be the case for as well, now that you mention it.I only really use iCloud for Messages, Contacts, and Calendar. Messages seems to be separate so that works, but no Contacts or Calendar, Calendar is the biggest hiccup. I don't change my contacts too often. I'm assuming something like this would be fixed in the Beta 2, seeing that its affecting almost everyone.

You can still build a test your app on 2 and then submit using Xcode 6. I run beta iOS updates and then build production apps with the old Xcode - you don't need a device plugged in to do this. However you're risking missing bugs as your test OS doesn't match your build OS. As for switching between watchOS 1 and 2 - downgrades are not supported or reccomended.
