Reply to My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
Hi Add me to the list of 4.3 victims. I have a very niche client/server app that has been on the store for nearly 12 (TWELVE) years! (the software consists of 2 apps, the client and the server), so this is just an update, not a new app. There is NOTHING even remotely similar to it as it is a very niche market with a limited userbase. We did an update 2 weeks ago (client) and everything went fine. Of course after updating we noticed a couple minor changes that needed to be made, nothing operational, all cosmetic like a spelling error and limiting the number of ad's shown. Literally changed 5 characters in the source. Submit a new build and now we are in 4.3 spam hell. Of course we keep getting the same canned response from the review team that tells us absolutely nothing. Appealed the rejection last week, and so far, not a peep out of Apple. No calls, no emails no nothing. We also updated the server app, and no problems whatsoever. The 2 apps are totally different, but all i can suspect is po

rejected by 4.3 due to being misunderstood as a similar application. What should I do?
My application was developed by myself There is a reason for being misunderstood Please allow me to provide some information: My application has already been launched on a macOS platform version (temporarily called AAA). I encountered difficulties in compiling the SDK, as it cannot be compatible with two platforms in the same project at the same time. Therefore, I have specifically developed an iOS version (temporarily called BBB) This version uses a different bundle ID from the plaintiff's macOS platform version, equivalent to two independent apps. Then, the (BBB) version of my iOS platform was rejected. The reason was 4.3- Spam. I accepted this decision and did not attempt to apply for listing again, and deleted the relevant information. Later on, I spent time and finally overcame the difficulties of SDK compilation, successfully developing an iOS version (temporarily called CCC) based on the macOS version, using the same bundle ID as the macOS version, which can be considered as the same app My ne

Reply to My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
Also facing the same issue, App got a 4.3spam, it's an update to an existing live App. I hope we as Indi developers can have better support and concrete solution regarding this dreaded 4.3 app killer. I have read in some threads that even a container app gets rejected. hours/days/months/dollar spent all down the drain with this 4.3.

Reply to App rejected as spam
Read the guidelines. Spam may be because your app falls into an overcrowded category without enough innovative features. Dating apps are just such a category. 4.3 Spam (b) Also avoid piling on to a category that is already saturated; the App Store has enough fart, burp, flashlight, fortune telling, dating, drinking games, and Kama Sutra apps, etc. already. We will reject these apps unless they provide a unique, high-quality experience. Spamming the store may lead to your removal from the Apple Developer Program. So, the only thing you can do is to add comments to reviewer explaining how your app provides this unique experience.

App not approved. We are an educational game about sharks.
Our app is being rejected and i have reasons to believe it isn't properly reviewed. My app/ game has Features: Create your own Sharki Stickers with our Unique Sharki Generator, A page dedicated to Raise Awareness to help save Sharks, The core of the game is to be educational Also one part of the app is a mini game (it is flappy like on surface which i think is the main reason for rejection, but we have so much more than that, and without proper review the content of the game fails to shine.) its a game where you have to prevent the shark from falling while avoiding obstacles ,(its not a tap on the screen and it moves, you have to follow the sharks movement and prevent it to fall) and you get educational content with different shark facts and trivias by playing. Play Different types of Sharks like Mecha Shark, Astronaut Shark and more, experience different type of gameplay and mechanics as the game progress and there are alot of levels, playables, unlockables and contents that are unique , distinct and exclusi

Publish Whitelabel Apps from Client's Accounts
Hi, I want to publish White Label apps for my clients. Recently I have submitted multiple white label apps from my clients' developer accounts but I got rejection for all the app with the following reason: Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Currently the apps have only a different like Logo, name and some internal conditions. Please suggest me what should I do for this issue. I will thankful to you. Kind Regards.

Guideline 4.3(a) Original game misinterpreted as Spam
Hello, our game Nerd Survivors has been identified as spam. The game is based on an original IP and the only games that should share any resemblance with it are from our company. Today we got notified the rejection due to the violation of Guideline 4.3 but there is no reference to the other application or even a contact to the other developer. We do use Unity as our game engine, so some parts of the code might be shared across different games, but i cannot find any other justification of the failure. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.

What are some other actionable items I can do, so that I can get through "Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam" app update rejection?
I have an app which is in the app store since 2022. It is an app with combined features of note taking, todo list and calendar. My most recent app update is rejected with the following message. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality. Resources Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include: Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party Submittin

Reply to How to publish new dating app?
Hello, If you want to get approval from the Apple Store, you need to ensure that your dating app is unique and also provides a valuable environment for users. One of the reasons the app is rejected is because it failed to have a unique value proposition. You should ensure your app offers a distinct set of features or functionalities to stand out from the crowd. Other than that, here are some factors you shouldn’t overlook if you want to pass guideline 4.3: Ensure that your app actually addresses the needs of a particular/target group. Features are up to the market standards. Prioritize high-quality and visually appealing Design. Make sure to have transparency. To learn more in detail about how to submit your app to the App Store, check out this link: https://www.nimbleappgenie.com/blogs/submit-app-to-app-store/

Guideline 4.3
Hello, We have two chat applications that are based on the same source code but are owned by different individuals. These apps have distinct names, color themes, and user bases, although they share the same underlying source code. Both apps were uploaded to the App Store over three years ago. However, when we attempted to update one of the apps recently, it was rejected for violating Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. The rejection message stated: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. We are seeking guidance on how to obtain approval for this update. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My application always rejected, reason app's icon identical with other apps
Our application was already on the app store before, we did not change the app icon from the first time our application was approved to the app store in 2017.But recently when I submit application to app store, we received this reject message: Guideline 4.3 - Design We noticed that your app icon is still identical to the icons of other apps already submitted to the App Store. Apps that use the same icon make it difficult for users to find apps and are considered a form of spam. We need help. Thanks

B2B white label apps - against guidelines?
I'd like to build an enterprise white label iOS app - that is, apply different branding to identical templates. Guidelines 4.2.6 and 4.3 seem to prohibit this as spam. However, I found these apps which clearly share the same template: ADM Farmview Valero Cornnow Scoular View Purefield Ingredients Graincraft Grower Connect Townsend Grain ...etc There are dozens more. To see them all search: site:apps.apple.com developed by the industry-leading Bushel platform. They have identical screenshots, description text, even version number. How can I do this, without being rejected for spam?
