apple pencil battery life

Is anyone else having an issue with poor battery life on the GM release? Not doing much more than normal and draining down to 40% in a few hours.using iPhone 6s on iOS 10.0.1

Will running an AVCaptureDevice at a 1920x1080 AVCaptureDeviceFormat consume more battery than a format at say 640x480?If on say an iPhone Plus, where there exists a resolution exactly equal to the screen resolution, you're at least saving a resizing operation on the GPU (I'm using Metal).Is upsizing from 640x480 to 1920x1080 a more expensive operation than say, downsizing from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080?Running an app with a camera background, that also uses the camera to capture media... so trying to make some intelligent battery life decisions on choose formats.

Of the 3 betas I've tried thus far (I skipped 1) this is the worst of the lot for battery life. I did do the update and restored from previous, so could try a configuration as a new device. But haven't changed any operating parameter I'm aware of.Is it just me?

It feels like a tradition 😁As usual, the battery life is reduced in this first beta. I started off with 100% and after 6 hours of doing nothing with my phone the battery is down to 10%.Well, while it's perfectly normal for early betas, I just wanted to mention it. Except that, this is the most stable beta I've ever participated.How do you guys experience the battery life with your phones?

Anyone else having issues with the 9.7 iPad and the battery widget + Pen (beta 3)?Currently won't display the battery status (no matter how many restarts/power cycles). It also will now not pair with the Apple Pen (doesn't see it in Bluetooth and no pairing prompt). It seemed to lost all connection to it.I have been having repeated keyboard Issues - This accessory is not supported for a while - just wondering what seems to be happening now is a result of the beta or a hardware issue? Anyone having a similar time?

The battery life on mine as many is terrible on this iOS 9 Beta 1. Though if you turn off location services completely it seems to increase. Still not great but its better.Hopefully with the feedback they have received we may se Beta 2 either Today or NEXT Monday.

I am fairly certain there was no way to detect Apple Watch battery life in OS 1, however, does anyone know if this is possible in 2.0? I didn't see it in WKInterfaceDevice, but not sure if there is somewhere else I should be looking. Thanks

I have installed the IOS 11 GM to my two iphones. One is a 6+ and my other (work phone) is a 7+.Since istalling the IOS 11 GM, both phones are hot to the touch, (no open apps) and the battery life from full charge to empty is about 4 hours.I would expect battery life to be short on the beta version, but not the GM.Any ideas?

To improve the battery life:1. From you iPhones' settings2. Choose Privacy3. Select Diagnostic & Usage4. Then select Don't Send5. Enjoy even greater battery life than before.

It might be me, but iOS 9 Battery life so far has been painfully bad, down from 100% to 85% without using it much in 2 hours... has anyone experienced anything similar?'I might try a complete restore since i only updated from iOS 8 to iOS 9 Beta, just curious to see if anyone else is in the same boat.....after all ...battery life is one of the focus for iOS9.Andrea

All of the 4.3 betas have significantly reduced battery life. I had great life prior to the 4.3 beta, but the 4.3 beta leaves me at 10%by 6-7pm when prior I would go to be at 11pm with at least 25%....

Has anyone else witness the Apple Watch 1st gen amazing battery life on 3.1 dissappear on the new watchos 3.1.1 beta? ive had to charge my watch twice so far, space of 4 hours it went from 100 to 66%. How can battery life be that bad when 3.1 was great!

I am suffering an issue with my 45 day old Apple Pencil 2nd Gen. The double tap feature to change between pen and eraser stops working after few minutes of usage even though the battery of the Apple Pencil remains 100%. I have to connect it back to my iPad for 10-15 minutes for it to work but it stops working again after few minutes. Can anyone help me fix this issue?
