Background Refresh Stalls After Charging on watchOS 26
Hello everyone, I’m a new developer still learning as I go. I’m building a simple watchOS app that tracks Apple Watch battery consumption, records hourly usage data, and uses that information to predict battery life in hours. I’ve run into an issue where background refresh completely stalls after charging and never recovers, regardless of what I do. The only way to restore normal behavior is to restart the watch. Background refresh can work fine for days, but if the watch is charging and a scheduled background refresh tries to run during that period, it appears to be deferred—and then remains in that deferred state indefinitely. Even reopening the app or scheduling new refreshes doesn’t recover it. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? Is there a reliable workaround? I’ve seen a few reports suggesting that there may be a regression in scheduleBackgroundRefresh() on watchOS 26, where tasks are never delivered after certain states. Any insights or confirmations would be greatly a

Inquiry about Successful Subscription Without Payment Charge
Hi, I'm a server developer working on an iOS app, and I've encountered an interesting case that I'd like to understand better. We received a user report indicating that they were able to successfully start a subscription without any charge being processed on their payment method. The subscription appears to be active in our system and we can verify the receipt with Apple's server, but the user claims no payment was deducted from their account. I'm curious to know: Are there any known scenarios where a subscription might activate without an immediate payment charge? What would be the recommended way to handle such cases from the developer's perspective? Could this be related to any specific subscription states or edge cases in the IAP system? Any insights or documentation references would be greatly appreciated. I want to ensure we're handling our subscription logic correctly and providing the best experience for our users. Thank you in advance for your help!

Reply to iOS 14 Beta Battery drain on iPhone 6s
It is clear that 14.0.1 drain the battery (much) faster than IOS13. I have an Iphone 8 plus, with battery health 88% and after upgrading to 14.0.1 I have to charge my iphone everyday (sometimes twice). With the previous IOS versions I used to charge it every two days. I wish Apple releases a new IOS version fixing this issue soon. I love Apple, but these things are very dissapointing.

Reply to IOS 16 UI Lag and Ghost Touch
Same thing happening with me. Since like December 14th (apparently with the release of iPadOS 16.2 I think) my iPad 8th generation (2 years old) literally went nuts. The upper part of the screen (if it's vertical) won’t respond to touch or if it does it does it after many attempts. I thought for a long time that it was my fault but then reading online I noticed that many have this issue. I did all of the things that they suggest online, so restarting it, rebooting it, turning off all of the AssistiveTouch settings (btw I think that AT is a part of this problem, too cause I was using it to turn up the volume since the button is broken), I even brought it to the nearest Apple Center and they asked me €300 to fix it, what???? That’s like more than half of the price that I bought it. Now it’s updated to iPadOS 16.3.1 but the problem is still here. Luckily I have my keyboard to type, otherwise I couldn’t even do that, since even the typing is broken. If I type on-screen for example the letter A, it will a

Reply to Battery on IPhone 6s drains after IOS 10
I've had my iPhone 6 since September 2014 and battery would last around 12-15 hours depending on calls i made or received, checking text messages and emails regularly throughout the day. I used to allow the phone to run down to less than 5% before charging, sometimes the phone would indicate 1% for nearly an hour before switching off.Ever since iOS10, the battery charge indicator and phone behave irratically. Fully charged phone lasts 3-4 hours. Sometimes the phone dies, but when placed on charge the battery indicator shows charge higher than 1%, 20%, 50% even as high as 75%.I am disappointed at the level of QA and QC of Apple products since Tim **** arrived as CEO.

Charged even though active promo credit
Just a heads up to check your invoices this week, I have over $88.00 left on my PROMO CREDIT voucher & was charged $4.61 for ads this week. I wasn't cahagred the first two weeks of the program & the credit doesn't expire until Dec 31...so something is a miss.Connected the Search Ads team...and they are investigating. Again, just an FYI to check your account.

Reply to Apple Pay & In-App Purchase
Your app is doing two things. One is establishing a connection between a user and a driver over the app - that is all within the app. If you are charging for that, it is IAP.The second is purchasing a real world service from the driver to drive from Brooklyn to Manhattan - if you are charging for that it is Apple Pay or some other credit card service, not IAP.
