Reply to How to test SignificantChange Permission Ask
Hi @coderFeng, @mr846, Where legally required, you must check the age of the people using your app, starting with new Apple Accounts created in Texas on or after January 1, 2026, which has obligations only for iOS and iPadOS apps. To learn more, see Next steps for apps distributed in Texas. To test content revocation in Sandbox on iOS and iPadOS 26.2 and later, please see the documentation below: Testing Age Assurance in Sandbox https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/testing-age-assurance-in-sandbox Cheers, Paris X Pinkney |  WWDR | DTS Engineer

Reply to Declared Age Range: How to support age verification on iOS < 26?
Hi @skitudeiosdevelopers, You wrote: [...] What is the correct and Apple-approved approach for handling age verification and restricting access for minor users on iOS versions prior to 26, given that the Declared Age Range API is not available on those systems? To enable all the technologies and access all the signals Apple has made available to comply with regional age assurance requirements, starting with Texas, you must build your app against, you must build your app against iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 SDKs with Xcode 26.2 (17C52). View the latest Xcode versions and SDKs here. Existing adult accounts and child accounts for kids and teens will not be affected. To learn more, see Next steps for apps distributed in Texas. Reply to CoreVideo + Rosetta still clamps at 60Hz (since macOS 12)
Thanks for the insightful and interesting comments. In addition to your comments and to avoid any confusion about APIs for display synchronization, I'll leave this here ~ CADisplayLink is the recommended and supported way forward for general purpose synchronization of animated content with the display refresh cycle. CADisplayLink is supported on all Apple platforms including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Any new development should prefer using CADisplayLink over other mechanisms for display refresh synchronization. CAMetalDisplayLink is a closely related specialized version of CADisplayLink for use with high performance Metal apps. CAMetalDisplayLink is also supported on all Apple platforms and it may be more appropriate to use than CADisplayLink in some cases (though it is not necessary to use CAMetalDisplayLink instead of CADisplayLink in Metal based apps).

Search Functionality Missing in FamilyActivityPicker on iPadOS 26.0+
Issue: The search functionality in FamilyActivityPicker has disappeared on iPadOS 26.0+. This feature was working in previous versions but is now missing. Framework: FamilyControls Expected: Search bar should be available in FamilyActivityPicker to help users find apps quickly. Actual: Search functionality is completely missing. Impact: Makes app selection difficult for users with many installed apps. Is this a known issue? If it's a bug, please address it in an upcoming update. If intentional, guidance on alternatives would be appreciated. Thank you.

Reply to Cannot submit apps with Xcode 26.2 RC
The link that Albert posted has updated to include this latest entry: December 12, 2025 App Store Connect update You can now upload apps built with Xcode 26.2 using the SDK for iOS 26.2, iPadOS 26.2, macOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, visionOS 26. 2, and watchOS 26.2 for the App Store, and for internal and external testing through TestFlight. We were able to upload and submit our app. Conclusions: This is probably a rare situation. However, it demonstrates that Xcode RC builds might not reach the point of having their archived app builds accepted for App Store submissions. If anyone from Apple is reading this, our feedback: We respect your processes and accept that it is often in Apple's and the developers' interests to not convey information that is subject to change. That said, when a pattern is established like almost always accepting Xcode RC built submissions, then expectations will become established amongst the developers. If you multiply the time spent and frustration caused across all the developers who

Reply to Cannot submit apps with Xcode 26.2 RC
For anyone watching the link kindly provided by Albert, a new note is probably not created: December 8, 2025 TestFlight update You can now upload apps built with Xcode 26.2 RC using the SDK for iOS 26.2 RC, iPadOS 26.2 RC, macOS 26.2 RC, tvOS 26.2 RC, visionOS 26. 2 RC, and watchOS 26.2 RC for internal testing through TestFlight. because towards the end of the following day, December 9th, observe how and external was silently inserted: December 8, 2025 TestFlight update You can now upload apps built with Xcode 26.2 RC using the SDK for iOS 26.2 RC, iPadOS 26.2 RC, macOS 26.2 RC, tvOS 26.2 RC, visionOS 26. 2 RC, and watchOS 26.2 RC for internal and external testing through TestFlight. So watch carefully the same previously dated release note for App Store to be inserted.

Reply to iPhone 15 Pro Max Fails to Establish Connection with MT7682 IoT Device’s AP Hotspot (Affecting Network Provisioning)
We can’t really help you with Wi-Fi level issues here on the forums. My advice here is that you file a bug so that our Wi-Fi engineering team can investigate. Make sure to include: Wi-Fi debugging information Your analysis so far Regarding the former, see the Wi-Fi for iOS/iPadOS instructions on our Bug Reporting > Profiles and Logs page. Please post your bug number, just for the record. Share and Enjoy — Quinn “The Eskimo!” @ Developer Technical Support @ Apple let myEmail = eskimo + 1 + @ + apple.com

Reply to Changing Frame Rate of External Display on iPad
Thank you for all of that information Greg and for answering each query individually. That exception is being thrown because isMatchingFrameRateSupported is reporting false for your external display, but your AVCaptureExternalDisplayConfiguration specified true for shouldMatchFrameRate. What determines 'isMatchingFrameRateSupported'? I use the same USB Hub and External Display on a MacBook Pro and I can go to Settings -> Displays and change the resolution and frame rate. I tested 1920 x 1080 at 60fps, 50fps, 30fps and 25fps and they all work. When I use that exact same hardware on an M4 iPad Pro it returns 'false' for 'isMatchingFrameRateSupported', presumably iPadOS is limiting this? Great to know that I can use CAMetalLayer for this purpose. That would mean it could work for a Metal Backed Live Video Feed if I can get the display to work as per the above. Though I think given the limitation of this functionality to AVCaptureDevice and that it wouldn't be respected when the user plays back video

Reply to Can I Use Xcode and iPadOS 18? (and RealityView)
i have iPad generation 10 but I updated ipados 26.2 I need get back ipados 18 now…
Once you’ve updated to a new version of iOS, there’s no supported way to roll back to a previous version. The only exception to this rule is if the new version is a beta seed, in which case you can roll back to the previous public release. For advice on how to do that, see Apple Beta > FAQ > Support > How do I leave the Apple Beta Software Programme? Reply to use `NEHotspotConfigurationManager.shared.apply(hotspotConfig)` to join a wifi slow on iphone17+
Ah, yes, sorry about that. That was a mix up on our part. The request is for you to: Enable additional logging by installing the following profiles: Wi-Fi for iOS/iPadOS VPN (Network Extension) for iOS/iPadOS FaceTime for iOS/iPadOS You can find all of these on our Bug Reporting > Profiles and Logs page. Reproduce the problem. Trigger a sysdiagnose log (see the Sysdiagnose for iOS/iPadOS instructions). Attach that to your bug report.
