App stuck in "Waiting for Review". Case ID 102992050872
I submitted my first app (App ID: 6786999941) on October 1, 2026. Today is October 16, 2026, and the app is still stuck in the "Waiting for Review" state. The automated email I received upon submission stated that "50 percent of apps are reviewed in 24 hours and over 90 percent are reviewed in 48 hours." My app appears to be among those 10% that get delayed. While I am waiting patiently, there is no indication on my dashboard as to why the build hasn't been picked up for a human review yet. All agreements, tax modules, and banking forms are fully accepted and active. I submitted an App Review Status Inquiry 7 days ago under Case ID: 102992050872, but I have not received a response. This is my only developer account, and this is a completely custom lifestyle app built entirely from scratch. Could an Apple team member please help verify if my submission is correctly queued, or if there is an administrative/identity hold blocking it from routing to a reviewer? • App ID: 6786999941 • Case ID: 102992050872 Kindly help me understand if I missed an essential step, and suggest how I can get traction on this review. Thank you in advance.

New app stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 8 days despite approved expedited review
Hello, Our new app Grab&Go (Apple ID 6821716640, iOS 1.0.0) was submitted on October 12, 2026 and has remained in "Waiting for Review" ever since. The review has not started. Submission ID: f110bb29-a29b-4fe7-bd8f-51852fbc48a3 The submission contains the iOS app version and a custom product page. Expedited review was requested and approved twice. Agreements, Tax, and Banking are all active, and there are no messages or issues in App Store Connect. Our other apps on the same account are live and in good standing. We have contacted App Review (case IDs 102999390329 and 103002511991) but have not received a response yet. Has anyone experienced a similar delay with a first submission? And could someone from App Review check whether anything is holding this submission or if anything is needed from our side? Thank you.

Spark District: first release still Waiting for Review after 6 Oct submission and 15 Oct resubmission
Hello App Review Team, I would appreciate help checking the initial iOS release of Spark District. App: Spark District Apple ID: 6819374480 Version/build: 0.1.0 (11) Current submission ID: 164937d1-0185-48c2-845c-e4d3473e1963 The original submission entered Waiting for Review on 6 October 2026. After almost nine days without entering In Review, we withdrew it and submitted a replacement on 15 October. As of 20 October, the current submission still shows Waiting for Review. All 14 items (the app and 13 in-app purchases) have the same status, and no App Review message is displayed for the current submission. An App Review Status support case was opened on 12 October, and I followed up through Apple Developer Support today with the current submission details. I am also asking here in case the App Review team can help investigate. Could you please confirm that this submission is correctly queued and advise whether any account or submission information is preventing review? We can provide any required information promptly. We understand that resubmitting restarts the review process and will keep the current submission active. This is delaying our initial public iOS launch. Thank you for your assistance.

It has been in "Waiting for Review" since October 14. We have opened a support case (102993479380) but have not received a reply yet. Could someone from App Review check whether anything is blocking this submission or whether you need anything from us? We are happy to provide demo accounts, a walkthrough video or any other information. Thank you.

First release still in Waiting for Review 5 days after expedited review was accepted
Hello, Our app's first release has been in Waiting for Review since Saturday, 10 October, and the review has not started yet. Submitted: 10 October 2026 Expedited review: requested and accepted on 11 October 2026. Everything on our side appears complete: the Paid Apps Agreement is active, both in app subscriptions are attached to this version, and the review notes include a working demo account. There are no messages in the Resolution Center. We have a public launch planned for Monday, 19 October, and our Android app is already live. If anything is missing from our submission or holding up the review, we would be grateful to know so we can fix it right away. [Expedited Review Request] In-store service live since Oct 14, iPhone users blocked — stuck in "Waiting for Review" since Oct 13 (App ID 6804940537)
Hello App Review Team, We would like to request an expedited review, and confirmation of the status, for our iOS app. It has been in "Waiting for Review" for 8 days since we resubmitted it after fixing a 2.3.6 rejection, and it has not moved to "In Review". Why this is time-sensitive Sijangpass is used in person: customers scan a QR code at partner restaurants and show the benefit screen to the owner at the counter. Our in-store service went live on October 14 at our partner restaurants. Android and web users are already using it, but iPhone users cannot get the version the restaurants now use, so customers and owners are running into problems at the counter every day. This is a live, real-world service, not just a release date. App information App name: Sijangpass App Apple ID: 6804940537 Bundle ID: com.blacktae.sijangpass Version / build: 1.1.0 (12) Submission ID: a09bf07f-d892-443f-afb5-f8d5cac78d10 Submitted: October 13, 2026, 1:21 AM KST Timeline Oct 12: Build 8 was rejected under Guideline 2.3.6 because one of our age rating answers had been selected by mistake. The app has no such content: the in-app "draw" is a free promotional giveaway by partner restaurants. Nothing is purchased to take part, and nothing of value is at stake. Oct 12: As the rejection message instructed, we corrected those age rating answers to None/No, replied in App Store Connect, and resubmitted. Oct 13: Resubmitted with build 12. The App Review notes also explain the rating correction. No messages since. Oct 13 and Oct 17: Requested expedited review; both confirmations said the review would be expedited. Oct 15 and Oct 17: Contacted Developer Support (case 102997225516). Oct 19: Phone call with Developer Support (case 103001164366); we were told it was forwarded and we would hear back by email. For comparison, our other app on the same account (Sijangpass Owner, 1.0.3) was submitted on Oct 16 and approved within a day. What we are requesting The Oct 12 rejection included the "Extended Review" notice. Is Extended Review applied to this app, and does it still apply now that the rating has been corrected? Is there anything we should do about it? Is anything else required from our side for this submission? If nothing else is needed, an expedited review of the October 13 submission. We are not withdrawing and resubmitting, so as not to lose our place in the queue. Thank you very much for your time. If you are in the same situation, please share your submission date below or boost this post so App Review can see how widespread this is.

First submission stuck in "Waiting for Review" since October 13
My app’s first submission has been in Waiting for Review for 6 days with no change, not even an additional message. Here's a few details regarding my situation: App: dawnflight: Social Alarm Clock (Apple ID 6816814335) Version: iOS 1.0, build 16, submitted Oct 13, 2026 at 11:16 PM CT Support case 102998760872 (opened Oct 16), no reply yet The app launches Nov 1 with a seasonal event. Could someone check whether anything is holding up this submission? I just don't understand, the fact that not even my support case has not even gotten a response in 3 days is just poor service. I would like an explanation at the very least. Thank you.

iOS App status - Waiting for Review - 10 days
Hi, I have created my iOS App "Ponglytics AI" and submitted for review on Oct 6, 2026. As of today it still says "Waiting for Review". When I submitted they said 90% of Apps get response within 48 hours. Submission ID: 65688905-7efb-4651-8d4f-08f0d00d8a54 What is the average review time? I am a high school student trying to publish this so that I can include in my college application. Already missed some. Please help.

Formal Transparency Request – App Store Review Times, Approval Rates and Outstanding Submission Backlog
Dear Apple Developer Relations and App Review Management, I am writing to request greater transparency regarding Apple's published App Store review processing times and the actual number of developer submissions awaiting review. Apple's published App Review guidance states that its goal is to review at least 50% of submissions within 24 hours and 90% within 48 hours. However, recent discussions on the Apple Developer Forums show developers reporting considerably longer waiting periods, including submissions remaining in "Waiting for Review" or "In Review" for several days or weeks. As an independent developer currently navigating the App Review process, I believe greater transparency would benefit the wider developer community. Formal request for statistical information I would appreciate Apple's response to the following questions, preferably using anonymised aggregate data covering January–September 2026, broken down by month. 1. Actual review processing times How many app submissions were received each month? How many received an initial review decision within 24 hours? How many received an initial review decision within 24–48 hours? How many took 48–72 hours, 3–7 days, 8–14 days, 15–30 days, or more than 30 days? What percentage of submissions met Apple's published 24-hour and 48-hour targets? 2. Approval and rejection statistics How many submissions were approved within 24 hours and within 48 hours? How many submissions were rejected within those periods? What were the median, 90th-percentile and 95th-percentile times from submission to initial decision and final approval? Can these figures be separated between first-time apps, app updates and resubmissions? 3. Outstanding review backlog As of 30 September 2026, how many submissions remained in the following categories? Waiting for Review: 0–24 hours, 24–48 hours, 3–7 days, 8–14 days, 15–30 days and over 30 days. In Review: the same time intervals. I would also appreciate the latest available equivalent figures as of October 2026. 4. Expedited review requests How many expedited review requests were received? How many were accepted or rejected? What was the median processing time for accepted expedited requests? Are resubmitted builds automatically retained within an expedited review queue? 5. Transparency and methodology Are Apple's published 24-hour and 48-hour percentages measured from submission to the beginning of review, initial review decision or final approval? Are weekends, public holidays, rejected submissions and resubmissions included? Are the published figures global or restricted to specific regions? When were the published percentages most recently verified against actual operational data? Purpose of this request My intention is not to obtain confidential information about individual developers or applications. I am requesting aggregated, anonymised statistical information to understand whether the published review-time targets accurately reflect developers' experiences. Apple's 2025 App Store Transparency Report confirms that more than 9.1 million submissions were reviewed. Given this volume, additional statistical reporting on processing times and outstanding submissions would be valuable. I recognise that Apple is a private company and that this is a voluntary transparency request rather than a statutory Freedom of Information request. I would appreciate a written response, publication of the relevant data, or referral to the appropriate department responsible for App Store operational transparency. If the requested information is already publicly available, please provide the relevant links. Kind regards, GoldEngine AI Independent App Developer https://goldengine.ai

New app stuck in Waiting for Review since October 12 (first submission)
Submitted my first app on October 12 and it’s been sitting in Waiting for Review ever since. Never moved to In Review, no messages, nothing in App Store Connect asking me for anything. It’s CFI Copilot, an iOS app for flight instructors. Submitted with a subscription group and two subscriptions (monthly and yearly). Agreements, tax and banking are all done, and there’s no login so no demo account needed. I sent a status request through Contact Us on the 16th but haven’t heard back. Is anyone else stuck this long on a first submission right now? If yours finally went through, how long did it take and did you do anything to get it moving? Expedite request accepted, but still "Waiting for Review". Anyone else seeing this?
Hi everyone, I'd like to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation recently. My first iOS app was rejected under Guideline 2.1(b). I addressed the issues in the App Review notes and resubmitted it. Right after resubmitting, I requested an expedited review, and the confirmation page said the review would be expedited. The app and its in-app purchase are still "Waiting for Review." There are no new messages in App Store Connect, and my follow-ups through Contact Us have received only automatic acknowledgements. A few questions for anyone who has experienced this: How long did it take for your review to start after an expedite request was accepted? Did contacting Developer Support by phone help? Is there anything else worth doing while waiting, or is it best to simply wait? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Guideline 4.3 rejection without specific reasons: how can new apps compete fairly?
Hi everyone, I'd like to raise a concern about the transparency and fairness of Guideline 4.3 reviews. A rejection that says an app duplicates existing functionality or is indistinguishable from widely available apps should explain what specifically led to that conclusion. General categories, followed by an instruction to make substantial improvements, do not give developers an actionable path forward. Which functionality is the problem? Which aspects need to change? What standard would satisfy the reviewer? Without concrete examples or a clear threshold, the assessment feels highly subjective. Developers can spend significant time building a product and still be left guessing what would make it acceptable. In my view, independently developed apps should be able to compete in existing categories. Products naturally share basic functionality when they solve the same problem. Competition can come from a better workflow, a clearer interface, privacy, pricing, accessibility or serving a different audience. It should not require every developer to invent an entirely new category. If similar functionality alone is enough to reject a new entrant, that risks protecting established apps from competition. That feels unfair to independent developers and limits users' choice. The first app to enter a category should not effectively own that category. I support preventing copied apps, repetitive submissions and low-quality template spam. But there needs to be a clear, consistently applied distinction between spam and legitimate alternatives. A developer should be able to understand the reasoning behind a rejection and respond to specific concerns. Could Apple clarify: What specific evidence should reviewers provide when rejecting an app under 4.3? How is ordinary competition within a category distinguished from unacceptable duplication? What concrete criteria establish sufficient differentiation, and how are they applied consistently? When 4.2.6 is mentioned alongside 4.3, can the reviewer explain whether there is an actual template-related finding and what supports it? What is the best process for obtaining an actionable explanation when the rejection only lists general possibilities? Asking developers to make substantial changes is reasonable when the issue is clearly identified. Asking them to guess at an unstated standard is not. Clear reasons and consistent criteria would help developers improve their products while giving new entrants a fair opportunity to compete. Has anyone successfully obtained specific, useful clarification in this situation?

Review Stuck After Reply - Do we need to resubmit after providing documents?
Hi everyone, Our app was submitted on September 29 and finally reviewed on October 8, after an approved expedited review request. It was rejected under Guideline 4.1(a) because Apple needed proof of our licensing rights. We immediately replied with our signed licensing agreement and an additional authorisation letter. Today is October 9, and more than 24 hours later, we still have no response, no confirmation that our documents have been reviewed, and the app remains "Rejected". Developer Support simply redirected us back to App Review. Does anyone know if App Review will automatically continue reviewing the app, or do we need to resubmit it? And would resubmitting mean losing our expedited review priority? Our game is already live on Google Play, and this is holding up our official launch. Thanks for any advice!

Guideline 4.3(a) — which assets or apps is our game similar to? (Submission 2030b343)
Hello, Our game "Traffic Jam: Clear the Way" (version 1.0.0, build 4, submission ID 2030b343-87fa-47de-919f-2b3f041dd79c) was rejected on October 8 under Guideline 4.3(a) Design – Spam. We replied in App Store Connect the same day and have not heard back yet. It is the only app on our account, and all of its code was written by us. We do license some 3D vehicle and city models and some sound effects from the Unity Asset Store, and we understand that other apps may use the same packs. We want to fix this properly in the next build rather than resubmit the same binary. We are already replacing those licensed models and sounds with our own and preparing a new name, icon and screenshots. Could someone from App Review tell us whether the similarity is in the binary (specific assets), the metadata, or the concept, so that we change the right things? Thank you for your time. Crew Safety waiting since September 28 — unanswered support case 102993493885
Hello App Review team, I’m requesting assistance with two private internal business apps for our employees: • Crew Safety — Apple ID: 6816491059 • CrewOS Hub — Apple ID: 6816324323 Crew Safety was submitted on September 28, 2026, and has remained in “Waiting for Review” for three weeks without progress or an explanation. CrewOS Hub was originally submitted around the same time, then withdrawn and resubmitted in October after changes. It is also waiting for review. We have previously received approvals under this developer account, including some within 24 hours. App Review support case: 102993493885 I contacted support on October 11 and followed up on October 14. The case was subsequently closed without a substantive response or resolution. Phone support has been unavailable when I checked. I also submitted an expedited review request today, October 19. Our company legally changed its name from Crew Electrical Services Ltd. to Crew Technical Services Inc. The developer account still displayed the former name. Account information update case: 102997958035. Could someone please investigate whether either submission is blocked by an outstanding account verification, the company name update, or missing review information? These apps are intended strictly for our employees’ internal workflows. Please confirm what action, if any, is required from us and provide a clear next step. Thank you, Cory Magee Owner, Crew Technical Services Inc.

Could someone from App Review please confirm the expedited request is still attached to this submission? Thank you for your help.

Thank you.
