Hi,
We have a bank app which can activate tokenized payment cards (in Requires Activation status) on Apple devices.
In my case some customers tried to activate their card token on their Apple Watch. Our card system gathered all the required card data with the PNO and sent them to our app. Our app called the PKPassLibrary.activate() method, but got back the Swedish localizedDescription "Oväntat fel" which means "Unexpected error" in English. We checked our card system logs and contacted our PNO, both found no issue and no explanation to the unexpected error. How can we identify the issue here? Can we somehow find a more detailed error log from Apple Server?
Best regards,
Adrian Lui

I am somewhat of a beginner in mobile app development. I have some questions about IAP and commissions. One of my clients has a website that basically acts as the middle man which connects the trainers and participants. Basically, the trainers pay my client a subscription fee and they can list the kind of trainings they have to offer (ex. cardio, weight lifting, ...etc.). These trainings can be one-to-one, one-to-many, or one-to-few depending on the trainers. When the participants see something that they like, they would make a payment directly to the trainers via the website. To save time, we will probably do some kind of webview app. Having said all these, my questions are as follows,
As far as the IAP is concerned, can the payments between the trainers and the participants use third party payment method and ONLY the subscription fee from the trainers to the client use the storeKit/Apple IAP plugin?
If the answer to the question above is Yes (i.e. using Apple IAP for subscription only but use a third party payment for the transactions between the trainers and the participants), does it mean that the commissions ONLY apply on the subscription fees and NOT the payments between the trainers and the participants?
If the answer to Question 1 is No (i.e. ALL the payments have to go through Apple IAP), the commissions would apply to both the payments between the trainers and the participants and the monthly subscription payments, right? In this case though, to my understanding, when using the Apple IAP plugin, essentially, all the payments go to Apple temporarily. After taking out the commissions, the payments would be released to the bank account on file with the App Store within 45 days of the last day of the fiscal month in which the transaction was completed. Am I correct? And if so, as far as the business model on the App is concerned, my client would collect the money released from Apple and then distribute the money to the appropriate trainers. Am I correct?
My Merchant Domains' SSL certificate expires every 3 months, that means I need to verify Apple Pay Merchant Domains every 3 months at least.
Need API(s) to automate the verification process after my domain's SSL certificate updates:
API to download the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file to be uploaded to my domain.
API to verify the domain.
I'm trying to enable merchant tokens in my test environment. I'm using the demo code below:
{
...
"recurringPaymentRequest": {
"paymentDescription": "A description of the recurring payment to display to the user in the payment sheet.",
"regularBilling": {
"label": "Recurring",
"amount": "4.99",
"paymentTiming": "recurring",
"recurringPaymentStartDate": "2023-08-11T11:20:32.369Z"
},
"trialBilling": {
"label": "7 Day Trial",
"amount": "0.00",
"paymentTiming": "recurring",
"recurringPaymentEndDate": "2023-08-11T11:20:32.369Z"
},
"billingAgreement": "A localized billing agreement displayed to the user in the payment sheet prior to the payment authorization.",
"managementURL": "https://applepaydemo.apple.com",
"tokenNotificationURL": "https://applepaydemo.apple.com"
},
...
}
I'm able to see the recurring prompts in the payment sheet, but after processing I do not see the merchant token anywhere. I'm looking in the paymentData object and I do not see the merchantTokenIdentifier. I've tried using the Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover test cards, but still no luck. I seen similar threads on these forums, but never with an answer.
Has anybody been able to test merchant tokens in sandbox?
We have a requirement to include Apple Pay In-App Provisioning in our Mobile Application and we have an API from Backend to get the tokenReferenceID for a given Card. I want to query the passes from Apple Wallet to see if there are any matches to the given tokenReferenceID before I can decide whether to show the “Add to Apple Wallet” button or not.
I went through all PassKit APIs but couldn’t find a way to query for passes with tokenReferenceID. We have primaryAccountIdentifier, deviceAccountIdentifier but which one should be used to match with tokenReferenceID?
Can someone please help me how to query the Wallet passes with tokenReferenceID using PassKit?
I have an Apple subscription with a 2-week introductory offer and a 3-month promotional offer code. There are 2 subscription plans:
1-month subscription
12-month subscription
For the 1-month plan, my promotional offer code is "Monthly_Free," and for the 12-month plan, my promotional offer code is "Yearly_Free." However, when users try to enter the respective promo codes for the 1-month or 12-month plans, they receive the following error:
"Offer not available. Your account is not eligible for this offer. You can still subscribe at the regular plan price."
This works fine in the sandbox account, where I can use the promo codes as many times as needed, switching between the 1-month and 12-month plans easily. What could be the issue here?
I have the HCE entitlements, but it's not clear from the documentation I have, how to configure my app as the default app for the double tap of the power button.
Nor can i see where this is in iOS 18.2 settings. The closest I can find is 'Settings > Default Apps > Contactless App', which still shows only Wallet after I install my app with all the new entitlements and provisioning profile. I have these entitlement successfully provisioning my app:
<key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce</key>
<true/>
<key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce.iso7816.select-identifier-prefixes</key>
<array>
<string>A0000000031010</string>
<string>A00000002501</string>
<string>A0000000049999</string>
<string>A0000000041010</string>
</array>
<key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce.default-contactless-app</key>
<true/>
The documentation here: https://developer.apple.com/support/hce-transactions-in-apps/ also references a link to changes in Info.plist, but the url takes me to storekit-external-entitlement documentation about dating apps in the netherlands ???!!!???
Any help would be appreciated to at least get started by allowing me to change the double tap action to my app.
Thanks

Hello:
After integrating the in app SDK, I was able to request product lists and initiate payments normally. However, when running on the emulator and using a sandbox account for payment, I did not receive any callback from the app after successful payment, and the payment would be automatically initiated again. What caused this problem? Is it a problem with the sandbox account or the simulator?
I hope to receive a reply as soon as possible.
Thank you very much!
I updated to IOS 18 the newest version (18.0.1) . I cant use my apple pay (travel card) when I put my phone near to the card reader. I have to keep moving my phone to let the card reader detect my phone.
I'm implementing Apple Pay in my Flutter web app and I'm following the guidelines for domain verification using the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file.
When I access the file at https://mydomain.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association through my web app, the browser silently downloads the file instead of displaying its content on the webpage.
My question is:
Is this the expected behavior for the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file? Should the browser download the file silently, or is there another step required, such as displaying the content on the webpage for verification purposes?
I've consulted some resources and they indicate that the file download is the correct behavior. However, I'd appreciate confirmation from the community to ensure I'm implementing the verification process correctly.
Summary is how do we know if apple has verified it?
Hello,
I am developing a mobile application focused on helping users centralize and analyze their expenses. The app's key feature is to track transactions made through Apple Pay, providing users with a consolidated view of their spending across all linked bank cards or accounts.
I have a few specific questions regarding the feasibility of this integration:
Does Apple provide any official APIs or tools to access Apple Pay transaction data for third-party applications?
Are there restrictions or guidelines for apps that aim to use Apple Pay to support expense tracking?
What would be the best way to initiate a partnership or obtain further support from Apple for such a project?
Your insights or direction on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and guidance!
Best regards,
Amine

We have implemented In-App Provisioning, but when I start the tokenization process, I receive an error before the terms and conditions.
We are testing with a version of the app on TestFlight.
The error message is: Could not add card. Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information.
Could you please help me?
Hello, we re developing a loyalty platform for end users and as such emit Apple wallet store cards. Problem we're facing is that the HTTP POST /v1/devices/:deviceLibraryIdentifier/registrations/:passTypeIdentifier/:serialNumber in some cases doesn't come through and we have no idea why.
This only happens to a small percentage of customers, others work just fine.
Does anyone have an idea why this might happen? I believe our setup is correct when 90% of customers work and we receive these HTTP requests to our server.
Hello everyone, I have a small error 23. I wanted to know if you also already have this error so in the simulator it works, I have no error, but once I do in the TestFlight I have the error that appears error 23, can anyone help me on this? Thanks a lot.
When apple pay on the web does a onshippingcontactselected it appears to truncate the zip code.
If I enter:

or
