IAP Product Info Error & Sandbox Webhook/Test API Failures
Hello, I'm suddenly encountering errors with In-App Purchases (IAP) and my sandbox webhooks, which were working correctly just a few days ago. Specifically: Product Information Error: I'm receiving the following error when trying to fetch product information: { "type": "product_info", "result": "error", "error": "An unknown error occurred" } This API call was functioning normally until today. Sandbox Webhook Failure: I have configured a sandbox webhook, but my server is not receiving any notifications from the App Store. Test API 401: When I attempt to call the test API (https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test), I consistently receive a 401 (Unauthorized) error. Could you please provide some guidance on how to troubleshoot these issues? Thank you.

Strange Pattern of Subscriptions + Refunds — Possible Abuse?
Hi everyone, I'm an indie developer and recently noticed some odd behavior in my app's subscription metrics. There’s been a sudden spike in annual subscriptions, which is very unusual for my app — historically, users rarely choose that option. What’s more concerning is that these subscriptions are almost immediately canceled and refunded. Upon checking analytics (RevenueCat + App Store Connect), I also noticed inconsistencies in user location data: users appear to be from one region (like Singapore), but deeper tracking shows actual usage from Vietnam, a market I’ve never targeted and where I do no advertising. This behavior seems coordinated and is affecting my app’s refund rate, which I worry could raise red flags on the App Store side. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is there a recommended way to report suspicious subscription/refund activity to Apple or prevent potential abuse like this? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Encountered issues when calling the sandbox environment interface to verify receipts during the development of the payment function
Currently, we are using the Apple V2 interface to develop the payment function. We generate a transaction ID on the mobile client and obtain the receipt. Now, when we call the Apple sandbox environment interface to verify the receipt, we always get a 404 error. The above is the request and response. The token used in it is also the original data after decoding, and there is no problem. Could you help me figure out what other possible reasons there might be?

"Error handling payment sheet request" with Backyard Bird sample application
After downloading Backyard Birds and following the steps in the section "Configure the sample code project" (i.e. enabling local StoreKit testing in the scheme). When I run the macOS app from within XCode, the following error occurs. Whenever I try to purchase any item from within the app, I am presented with the following error dialogue: "Couldn’t communicate with a helper application. Try your operation again. If that fails, quit and relaunch the application and try again." This happens after I click the purchase button (i.e. the button that displays the price). The Xcode logs show the following errors: Error handling payment sheet request: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4099 "The connection to service created from an endpoint was invalidated from this process." App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments? Is it possible to add custom properties to the App Store Server Notification V2 body to facilitate routing? Any advice or best practices you've implemented would be greatly appreciated.

The property Product.displayPrice does not display the correct price
Hi, I'm new to AppStore Connect, and I'm learning how subscriptions work. I'm finalizing my first app, but on my TF, I'm having some issues with the price: it's always displayed in US dollars on my paywall. When I tap "subscribe," the Apple sheet correctly offers the price in euros. I'm using Product.displayPrice to display the price in my paywall. The documentation did mention it is The localized string representation of the product price, suitable for display. So, is it normal in my case for the price in dollars to be displayed and not the price in euros like the Apple sheet? Thank you in advance for your help.

StoreKit2 originalTransactionId
I would like to inquire about the originalTransactionId of StoreKit2. Users who purchase auto-renewal subscription products To re-purchase the same subscription item after cancellation and prior to refund If you receive a refund after cancellation and re-purchase the same subscription item If you do not renew immediately after expiration and re-purchase the same subscription after a long period of time I would like to ask if 1, 2, and 3 all use the same value as the original Transaction Id at the initial subscription. In the case of 3, if you re-purchase more than a few days after the last subscription purchase, please let me know if there are any detailed conditions such as the original Transaction Id not maintained.

Calling AppTransaction in a SpriteKit app
Hello 👋! I'm trying to switch the business model in my app from premium to freemium, gracefully so that existing users aren't bothered. I'd like to provide newly-paywalled content for original paid users. For this to work, I need to use originalAppVersion in AppTransaction, and support iOS 16 at minimum. I've asked about originalAppVersion earlier here. I've upped to iOS 16 already, but I don't exactly know how to call AppTransaction.shared to get originalAppVersion. The issue lies in the fact that my app is based on SpriteKit, so the operative areas I have available to call AppTransaction are ostensibly limited to AppDelegate and GameViewController. I'm using the code from Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction, but if I place it in either GameViewController or AppDelegate, for example in application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) or viewDidLoad(), I get an error concerning async/await. Now, I understand the gist of it: these are not asynchronous methods. So I'm trying to understand how to do it perhaps outside of these methods. How do I call AppTransaction.shared (and fetch originalAppVersion) in a SpriteKit based app?

RequestReviewAction never triggering rating dialog
Hello, We are having an issue with the RequestReview API and were hoping to get some help. We know that there is no guarantee that the in-app review modal will show and we know that there are 3 circumstances in which it will definitely not appear: if the user has turned off in-app review/ratings in their settings if the user has submitted a review for that app on that device within the last 365 days if the user has been asked for a review >3 times in the last 365 days When testing our implementation, every single one of our testers did not receive the rating modal despite the fact that we had all our testers turn on the app rating setting and that we have never asked for reviews from our app before. So that seems suspicious. While it is possible that something is up with our code (and I have provided some snippets below) we are also concerned that apple maybe is suppressing it for another reason. We really want to go live with our app review code but unfortunately we are not able to get confidence that it will ever appear for the user. Can you please help us understand why this isn't working. The code: We are using the SwiftUI approach to requesting review. Here are some relevant code snippets Important to note, we have a modal that appears when the user is in our list of active, targeted users. If they tap yes on this modal, it should show the in app rate the app system modal. If they tap no, we present them with an airship survey so that they can give feedback. Here is the code for the Yes button action: @Environment(\.requestReview) private var requestReview private var yesButton: some View { Button( action: { dismiss() requestReview() }, label: { Text(Lingua.General.appRateFirstButton) .regularParagraph() .frame(width: 180, height: 35) } ) .customButtonStyle( foregroundColor: .black, backgroundColor: Color(.powderBlue), radius: 36 ) } and this is the logic we use to determine whether we want to show them the modal in the first place. Obviously, a lot of this code leads to deeper areas in our logic and code but to give an idea... private func showAppRateModalIfNeeded() { if preferencesManager.appRateReviewShown == nil, accountManager.userAccount?.permissions.rateTheApp == true { let appReviewModalVC = UIHostingController(rootView: AppReviewModal()) appReviewModalVC.view.backgroundColor = .init(white: 0, alpha: 0.6) appReviewModalVC.modalPresentationStyle = .overFullScreen appReviewModalVC.modalTransitionStyle = .crossDissolve parentVC?.navigationController?.present(appReviewModalVC, animated: true) preferencesManager.appRateReviewShown = true } } When testing in debug, we do find that the modal appears and works as expected. However, on release builds nobody is able to trigger it. Why? Are we doing something wrong here or is Apple just suppressing it. We are thinking about implementing the button taking the user directly into the app store review but we'd prefer to do the lower-friction dialog in-app if we can get it work so the user doesn't get sent out of the app.

StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions and retrieval
FB19377002 I am looking to improve and review my subscription purchase handling logic, for the best user experience. Considering that StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions (in case user is offline), is it really necessary to persist "unlocked status" in UserDefaults or SwiftData Model or AppStorage? Are there significant delays when reading Transaction.currentEntitlements from locally stored cache, versus reading it from UserDefaults; or, as in the latest SKDemo example, even reading it from stored in SwiftData ? https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/706450 I only have subscriptions ( I don't have noncosumable or consubale products). Do I still need to persist subscription status?

Subscribe button does nothing in App Review, but In
Hello, My app "MyCourses" (bundle id: com.ahmedbaqer.mycourses) was rejected under Guideline 2.1 because "No action followed when we tapped the button to subscribe to a course" on iPadOS 26.1. When I run the same code (version 1.0.0 (11)) from Xcode on a real device using a StoreKit configuration file (In App Purchase.storekit), the purchase flow works correctly: When I tap the "Subscribe via Apple" button, the App Store purchase sheet appears. The purchase completes successfully and unlocks the course. I use the in_app_purchase Flutter plugin and queryProductDetails to load products. However, when I install the build via TestFlight (and in App Review), tapping the same "Subscribe via Apple" button does nothing – which matches the behavior described by App Review. From my logs it looks like queryProductDetails is returning an empty productDetails list in that environment. For In‑App Purchases: I created 7 non‑consumable products in App Store Connect. Their Product IDs exactly match the IDs in my In App Purchase.storekit file (used only for local Xcode testing). All IAPs are now in "Waiting for Review" status and are linked to the iOS app version 1.0.0 (11) in the “In‑App Purchases and Subscriptions” section. At the time of the original review, some IAPs were in "Developer Action Needed / Rejected" state, so I suspect queryProductDetails may have returned no products and the reviewer saw no action after tapping the button. My questions: When IAP products are in "Waiting for Review" and linked to the app version, should queryProductDetails return them during App Review / TestFlight, or do they need to be fully approved first? Is there any additional configuration required so that the subscribe button reliably shows the App Store purchase sheet for reviewers (for example, any specific StoreKit / sandbox settings)? Are there recommended best practices to show a clearer error state when queryProductDetails returns no products, so that App Review understands this is a configuration / IAP-status issue rather than a UI bug? Any guidance from Apple engineers or other developers who faced a similar situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

(verifyreceipt) I cannot verify from the server whether the user's iap payment is successful or not
I have three questions about verify receipt I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently) 2. I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server? 3. I try to use this (https://github.com/apple/app-store-server-library-java) to get TransactionInfo, but I dont konw to get Transaction status to know is success or not. my java server code : AppStoreServerAPIClient client = new AppStoreServerAPIClient(encodedKey, keyId, issuerId, bundleId, environment); TransactionInfoResponse response = client.getTransactionInfo(transactionId); (bug i can note get transaction status, how do i konw this Transaction is success or not)

verifyReceipt endpoint failing on occassion
I am finding that the verifyReceipt endpoint used to verify a receipt is failing on occassion starting around October 27, 2015. I realize this API is deprecated. I am using cURL to call verifyReceipt. The specific errors are 52 - Empty reply from server and 56 - Connection closed abruptly. This indicates an issue with Apple's server as I understand it. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

StoreKit 2 – IAP Subscriptions Not Appearing in Sandbox
I am experiencing an issue with my iOS app where StoreKit 2 in-app subscriptions are not appearing when using Product.products(for:). I have done all the necessary configurations, but the products still return an empty array ([]). Here are the details of my setup: • App ID / Bundle ID: com.tstore.vocabely • Product IDs: • com.tstore.vocabely.base • com.tstore.vocabely.pro • com.tstore.vocabely.ultimate • Paid Apps Agreement: Active • IAP Status in App Store Connect: Ready to Submit / Approved • Testing Environment: • Device: iPhone (real device) • iOS Version: [insert your iOS version] • Xcode Version: [insert your Xcode version] • Sandbox Tester Account used • Code Snippet: Using Product.products(for: productIDs) in StoreKitManager to fetch products I have verified: • Product IDs match exactly with App Store Connect • Paid Apps Agreement is Active • Using a real device, not a simulator • Sandbox account is properly signed in Despite all of this, fetchProducts() still returns an empty array. Could you please assist me in troubleshooting why my subscriptions are not appearing in the Sandbox environment? Thank you for your support.

original transaction id not found
Hi everyone, I’ve been receiving App Store Server Notifications (webhooks) normally for a specific transaction. Everything was working fine — I could use the original_transaction_id to query transaction history, and transaction_id to look up specific transactions. However, starting recently, all API calls for that transaction (both Get Transaction Info and Get Transaction History) now return not found. • The webhooks used to arrive normally for this transaction. • I am sure I’m querying the correct environment (production vs sandbox). • The IDs I’m using are exactly the ones from the last webhook payload. • I haven’t changed my integration code. My questions: 1. Under what conditions does Apple’s API return “not found” for original_transaction_id that previously worked? 2. Can Apple actually purge transaction records (in production)? 3. Could this happen due to refunds, revocations, or other account actions? 4. Is this expected behavior, or should I file a DTS (Technical Support Incident)? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

"Cannot connect to App Store" when trying to purchase subscription using Xcode built app
I'm developing an app and I think I've implemented what I need to in the swift code. However, when I click the Purchase button in my app, I see "Cannot connect to App Store" when the App Store app opens. Attached are images showing how I've configured the Sandbox user. What am I doing wrong? I expect to be able to do a fake purchase to test subscription activation in the app, but it doesn't work.

Thanks!

"Error handling payment sheet request" with Backyard Bird sample application

App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments

StoreKit1 Usage error
I encountered the following issues while developing in-app purchases; please help me: When attempting to purchase a product that has already been purchased, SKPaymentQueue reports an error instead of a success message: <SKPaymentQueue: 0x134665380>: Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDServerErrorDomain Code=3532 "You’re currently subscribed to this." StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions and retrieval
