App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments? Is it possible to add custom properties to the App Store Server Notification V2 body to facilitate routing? Any advice or best practices you've implemented would be greatly appreciated.

Reuse a product id from app A in app B for In-app purchase in my iOS app
I have an app which is already on App Store with In-app purchase. Now I want to integrate In-app purchase in my another app for the same products as in the existing app. Both the apps are using same Apple Account. Can I reuse those Product Ids from the first app in the second one. If yes, what is the ways to use them. Thank you in advance.

IAP working in StoreKitTest on XCODE but not in TestFlight – shows mapped error "Product not available"
Hey everyone, I'm currently preparing an older iOS app for App Store release that includes a non-consumable In‑App Purchase using StoreKit 2. Everything works perfectly in the StoreKitTest environment inside Xcode – the product loads, the purchase flow runs, the transaction verifies. However, when I run the same app through TestFlight, I always get the error: ❌ Product not available - mapped to Here’s what I’ve already checked: ✅ The product ID is correct and matches what’s in App Store Connect (case-sensitive). ✅ The IAP is created in App Store Connect and includes: Title Product ID Price Tier Screenshot for review ✅ The App Store "Paid Applications" agreement is active. ✅ The app is using the correct bundle ID. ✅ I'm using Product.products(for: [productID]) from StoreKit 2. ✅ I’ve implemented fallback and retry logic (e.g. reload after delay). ✅ All IAP logic is wrapped in @MainActor and async-safe. As the App got Rejected on Review, the IAP is also now in the Rejected Status. Now the IAP shows status: 🟠 "Developer Action Required" And App Review rejected the IAP with the message: "Your first In‑App Purchase must be submitted together with a new app version." But if I add the App to the Test again and therefore the IAP, then the app will get Rejected again for App Completeness, IAP does not work... The Apple Pay interface is not responding
My server's access to Apple's payment interface (buy. itunes. apple. com/verifiyReceipt) has been unresponsive since the end of March, and I have been searching for a long time without finding any issues. Normally, even if the data is incorrect, there is still a {"status": 21000} response. We are using Alibaba Cloud's virtual servers here. I don't know if Apple has made any adjustments to the interface. If anyone has encountered this problem, please kindly help to answer it. Thank you all.

Updating this code to comply with TN3138: Handling App Store receipt signing certificate changes
My Mac app fails to open for some users with the error: "ABC.app does not support the latest receipt validation requirements." I assume this is due to the update of the App Store receipt signing intermediate certificate with one that uses the SHA-256 algorithm. I cannot reproduce this myself and I have trouble figuring out how to address this issue. Below is the code that decrypts the receipt and verifies its signature. How does this code need to be updated to support the new signing certificate? Error setting install attribution pingback
Hi there, We have an app targeted for children and we want to use the SkAdNetwork to track installs for campaigns. We don't want to track further in-app events (purchase etc.), just the install event. We added the SDK to our Unity app, listed the network identifiers in the plist file, configured the external campaign according to their instructions, but struggle to see any events for several weeks now. We see the following logs in the app: Registering install attribution pingback. Failed to migrate Install Attribution database schema from 17001 => 17400. SkAdNetwork: No pingbacks found while attempting to register/update. Error setting install attribution pingback registered for app: 1509727806, error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain code=1208 How can we debug this further? What does the error mean? Thank you very much! Not receiving App Store Server Notifications for failed transactions
We are currently integrating In-App Purchases for our app and have configured App Store Server Notifications (v2) in the Sandbox environment. During testing, we observed the following issue: When a transaction is cancelled, declined, or pending (e.g., Ask to Buy flows or authorization pending), No App Store Server Notification is sent to our webhook endpoint. We only receive webhook events where the status is "purchased". This becomes a critical problem for us because our backend must accurately track transaction states including failed and pending purchases, especially for wallet top-up use cases. Additionally, we tried mocking failed transactions (via Xcode local environment and turning off In-App Purchases from Developer Settings) to simulate a technical failure scenario. Even in these cases, no webhook notification was received when the purchase failed server-side. Is it expected behavior in Sandbox that only successful transactions ("purchased") trigger webhooks? Are failed or pending transactions suppressed in Sandbox intentionally? Will webhook behavior be different in Production (i.e., will we receive webhook notifications for failures there)? Is there any extra configuration or entitlement needed to fully test failure scenarios via webhooks in Sandbox?

Urgent - React Native IAP Issue
While using react-native-iap and being successfully connected with initConnection() I'm not receiving information on subscriptions with requestSubscription(). Biometric Authentication Behavior in IAP Sandbox Environment
Where the problem occurs: In-app purchase Non-ApplePay Non-local authentication login Environment where the problem occurs: Sandbox environment (Development environment, TestFlight environment) Problem handling process: Open page A in the app and purchase product B (auto-renewable subscription) on that page. User authentication is required to purchase product B. During the authentication process, the user needs to enter the Apple account and Apple account password. After completing the authentication, complete the purchase of product B. Problem in step 3: Why is FaceID or TouchID not used for authentication? Note: Face ID and Password -> iTunes Store and App Store -> Status is Enabled

IAPs after rejection
Hi everyone, After my app was initially rejected, all my IAPs now show the status “Developer Action Needed.” There’s nothing I need to change on them — they were just returned because it was the first submission and the app itself was rejected. Do I need to do anything with the IAPs before I resubmit, or will they still be attached and reviewed automatically with the next binary? I’ve seen conflicting answers, so I’d like to confirm the correct process. Thanks, Cris

sandbox account isn't logging in on purchase window
I don't know if I am posting this in the right place. I am using xcode's phone simulator and I have setup my sandbox account on appstoreconnect under users and access/sandbox/test accounts then in my app on the simulator when I tap the subscribe button to purchase my product the a window pops up for in app purchases and I get a login prompt for my sandbox credentials, but no matter how many times I enter them after tapping ok all I get is a blank login prompt. also not this a brand new sandbox account and I've only changed the password 3 times, that seems to be important because its inconsistent with some of the errors I am getting on the error log here is error log. How to properly handle StoreKitError or PurchaseError from product.purchase()
Hello! We are implementing consumable IAP for iOS using StoreKit 2 together with our own server backend. Our happy path looks like this: 1. Call /prepare on our server • We only allow one purchase at a time, so this fails if a pending transaction already exists. 2. Call /purchase via StoreKit 3. If successful, call /complete on our server 4. Call .finish() on the Transaction ⸻ The Problem Some users report being charged by Apple but not receiving coins. I suspect this happens in rare cases where the purchase flow throws an exception: • Every time we throw, we immediately cancel the transaction on our server. • However, some errors may actually be temporary. StoreKit seems to recover by later sending an update through Transactions.updates. • When that happens, since the transaction was already canceled on our server, we cannot match it. As a result, we just call .finish() without granting consumables. ⸻ Additional Observations From user logs, the issue tends to appear when the following errors are reported: • リクエストを完了できません。 • Triggered by: StoreKit.notEntitled • Triggered by: StoreKit.unknown • ヘルパーアプリケーションと通信できませんでした。 I was not able to reproduce the last one, even when testing all possible StoreKit configuration errors. While no similar issues have been reported by users of other credit card providers integrated with Apple Pay, the problem appears isolated to AlipayHK transactions. Key Details: Multiple users confirm being charged twice for single transactions. Complaints are increasing in frequency, indicating a potential systemic issue. No overlapping reports from non-AlipayHK payment methods at this time. Inquiry regarding StoreKit Messages for Free Trial Conversion and Recurring Payment Consent in South Korea
Dear Apple Developer Support, Our iOS application offers subscriptions with a free trial period. We understand that in South Korea, due to local subscription regulations, users must explicitly provide consent for recurring payments before the subscription converts from a free trial to a paid period. We have the following questions regarding how StoreKit handles this scenario: When a free trial is about to convert to a paid subscription for a user in South Korea, does StoreKit send a StoreKit.Message (or SKStorefront.Message) to the application to obtain the required consent for recurring payments? If such a message is sent, would the Reason for this message be StoreKit.Message.Reason.priceIncreaseConsent, or would it be another specific reason related to initial recurring payment consent after a trial? If our application receives such a message and we choose to defer its display, what is the maximum recommended or permissible deferral period? Is it possible to save the data of a received StoreKit.Message and display it to the user at a later time, for instance, after the application has been closed and subsequently reopened? Are there any best practices or limitations regarding this? We need this information to ensure our application correctly handles these consent requirements in compliance with South Korean policies and provides a smooth user experience. can not verify receipt
I have three questions about verify receipt I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently) I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server? I try to use this (https://github.com/apple/app-store-server-library-java) to get TransactionInfo, but I dont konw to get Transaction status to know is success or not. my java server code : AppStoreServerAPIClient client = new AppStoreServerAPIClient(encodedKey, keyId, issuerId, bundleId, environment); TransactionInfoResponse response = client.getTransactionInfo(transactionId); (bug i can note get transaction status, how do i konw this Transaction is success or not)

App Store Server Notifications Update
Hello Apple Support Team, We're a developer team that has created an app with subscription-based features, and we've been using App Store Server Notifications to receive updates about user subscription status changes. I'm reaching out to inquire about potential modifications to the App Store Server Notifications approach that might have improved notification delivery times for my app. So on our appstore app, when a user purchases a subscription, the apple server notifications reach our server and send us the complete detail of that user’s purchase for eg he upgraded or downgraded etc. And then based on the data we receive from app store server notifications, we save it in our database, along with updating the users subscription table in the database. Previously, we experienced delays in receiving the real time notifications from apple on our server, sometimes taking a few minutes, while other times they would arrive immediately. And because of this issue, the users faced delay in seeing their subscription updates, as our db was updated only after the app store server notification reached our server. However, recently, we've noticed a significant improvement, and notifications are now being delivered still in real-time, but without any noticeable delays. I'm wondering if Apple has made any changes to the App Store Server Notifications system that might have resolved the delay issue. Could you please confirm if any modifications were made in 2025, specifically from January onwards, that might have improved notification delivery times? Additionally, I'd like to know if these changes apply to both sandbox testing and production environments. If possible, could you please provide more information about the changes or direct me to a resource that might explain the updates? I'd appreciate your assistance in confirming this information, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.
