Have done the update for IOS Beta 4 and after it was done the screen just had the background and no icons. Couldn't get to any of the icons. Tried to do a restore on the iPad from my Mac and it started the restore but then got the message that it errored out and gave me this:
Need help trying to get this fixed. Also tried a computer that wasn't in the beta and got the same error message. Tried to turn it off and then see if it would go back to the error before and it just stays in recovery mode. Please help. Thank you.
I’d like to create a button on my iPhone Home Screen that changes settings if I am using an external lens mounted to my phone.
This is what I have along with notes on what I hope to do. But it does not work. I am only able to open either the camera settings or the camera preserve settings but nothing will toggle macro controls.
There is an additional step within the camera app as well but it can be skipped for brevity.

After updating my iPhone 16 Pro Max to iOS 26, I began experiencing serious performance issues while playing Delta Force Garena. The game struggles to maintain a stable 120 FPS, frequently dropping to 30 FPS or lower, causing severe lag and stuttering especially during intense action or in open environments.
There’s also a critical bug when I open the in-game chat: once the chat is opened, I become completely unable to move or perform any actions. The only solution is to force close and restart the game. The chat feature becomes totally unusable in this state.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I’ve seen Android devices running the game at higher resolutions and with stable 120 FPS, despite having technically weaker processors than the A18 Pro chip in my iPhone which Apple claims is the most powerful mobile chip. In reality, the game runs significantly better on my Galaxy S23 Ultra, with no frame drops and much smoother performance overall.
This makes my iPhone feel like an outdated device with poor optimization, which is disappointing given its specs and price.
Hello. On iOS 26 Public Beta I can’t seem to find the feature to delete a contact picture from the contacts app. It seems I can only replace but not delete. Is this just my problem?
tvOS 26 rolls out the feature to set every AirPlay speaker as permanent in the settings.

We’re seeing a rare but frustrating issue in our iOS VoIP app and would appreciate any advice.
What’s happening:
In some VoIP calls between two users (let’s say A and B), B can’t hear A’s voice, but A can still hear B just fine.
It doesn’t happen often, but once it does, the issue persists until the device is restarted.
Users who experience this issue typically have other voice or conferencing apps installed and actively use them.
They report that when our app runs into this problem, those other apps continue to work normally.

• AVAudioSession has microphone permission, and audio input works under normal conditions
• Network conditions are stable
• App-side logic seems solid — the issue occurs extremely rarely (e.g., 1 out of several thousand calls), making it unlikely to be caused by a consistent bug in our call flow

Despite following all the support information and YouTube tutorials I cannot get my AirPods Pro 2 to take the OS 26 beta firmware. My iPhone 14 Pro Max showed the option once now it does not give me the option. I get it on my Mac mini (M2). It still doesn't update. I’ve left them overnight and rest them twice. Help

I'm encountering a persistent issue while attempting to create a new partition on my Mac, and I'm hoping to get some assistance or insights from anyone who might have faced a similar problem.
Issue Description:
I'm trying to partition my internal drive. I initially used Disk Utility.app for this purpose. The partitioning process starts, but consistently freezes when it reaches approximately 10-20% completion. I've left it running overnight (for over 9 hours), but there was no progress, and the application remained unresponsive at that percentage.
After several attempts with Disk Utility, I decided to try using the diskutil commands in Terminal to see if that would yield a different result. I used commands such as diskutil apfs resizeContainer and diskutil partitionDisk. Unfortunately, these commands also result in the same behavior: the process starts, reports progress up to about 10-20%, and then completely freezes without any further output or completion, requiring me to force-quit Terminal.

To continue testing Xcode 26 beta for our POS project's compatibility with the upcoming iOS 26 release in September, we’ve been running trials on various simulators. While the app works fine on iOS 18 simulators (iPad Pro/Air), it fails to launch on iOS 26-based iPad simulators with the following error:

Hi! I am very new to the apple ecosystem. I saw a lot of comments online about how Stage Manager enabled iPads have access to extending the screen to an external display, and that was what hyped me about this beta. Unfortunately, while i do have Stage Manager now, the display is still unwilling to be extended. Is that a feature that’s planned to be included in the OS? Or am i just out of luck? The ipad is one of the most capable devices i have so i was kind of hoping it would get the feature. It has an A11 chip.
I use DeviceActivityCenter to monitor app usage.
For DeviceActivityEvent, I set 30 events, and the threshold of each event increases by 2 minutes:

Is anyone aware of a issue with the videos of you replaying a video you took then swip up the sound is still being played when you open another video it doubles to the first video if you open a third video and so on it just keeps adding the sound of all the other videos you open and swip up to change to a different video all videos sound is being played and doubled over The videos o was hoping they would be a fix on iOS 26 beta 4 but so far nothing has fixed the issue. You have to close the entire photo library and swip up to force close the phot video gallery for the recording sounds playing to stop??

I made backup as Apple suggested. Then I updated to iOS 26 developer beta. Because it was slow and laggy I downgraded back to 18.5 with iTunes on MacBook. After restoring backup I cannot get history (recent calls) working. I tried to change region, airplane mode, reset network settings, change date and time, reboot (3x). Basically I guess I tried everything I cloud find online. Still call history doesn't work. Is there any fix for this? Before restoring backup I reinstalled everything in restore mode.

I have an application that uses broadcast extension of Replay kit to record the entire screen and mic sound to a file on iOS. Up until some months ago, everything was smooth. Currently I am facing the following issue.
If another app uses the microphone, then I loose the sound and never comes back. In order to debug this issue I have added a log to the processSampleBuffer, that logs a text each time it receives a .audioMic buffer type. I start the recording and everything works as expected. Later on, I go onto an app that uses microphone, and then I do not get any log for audioMic. I stop the recording on that app, but the sound never comes back. This as a result makes my video file to not have any sound at all.
In the above context I also noticed that even with Photos app broadcast extension, if you start recording a video, and you go to Speech to text feature of the keyboard, then the sound is joined. While the STT is on, there is no sound and the sound of whatever comes after STT stops is joined to the sound before the STT starts, so I guess that this is something general.
Also on the same research I did, I saw that google Meet app does not allow any microphone to be used from another app while you are in a meet (Even the STT is grayed out).
I would like to know my options here. What can I do to have a valid video file with sound? How can I not allow other apps to use the microphone while my app is recording? Is there any entitlement? How does Google Meet do that?
P.S. I have added an observer to observe the interruptions for the session and the type .began runs, but the type .ended does not, so I can not actually set the AVAudioSession to active again.

I wanted to bring this up to display the frustration that I have obtaining the CarPlay entitlements. First and foremost they don't give you a set timeline and there is no contact number to speak to someone about this. When you call developer support they go on and say it is a different department. There is an email but all I have received is an automated response back to me.
Has anyone received the navigation entitlements and if so what was the timeline of you receiving it?
I am using an iPad Pro 11” on iOS 26 dev beta. I try to open 12+ apps and they don’t work. I have tried force restarting the device and checking settings and everything seems to be in order.
