Maps tokens

MapKit lets you bring the world’s most detailed city experiences from Apple Maps to your apps and websites, all with a focus on privacy. Visit Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles to create maps tokens to interface with Embed API, MapKit JS, and more.

Create maps tokens

  1. In Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, click Services in the sidebar.
  2. Under Maps, click Configure Tokens.
  3. Click the add button (+) on the top left to create new tokens.
  4. Select the appropriate options for the tokens you want to create.
  5. If prompted, provide a validity duration, description, and a comma-separated list of web domains where you plan to use this feature. Remove any URL schemas (https) and domain extensions from domains you register.

Revoke maps tokens

  1. In Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, click Services in the sidebar.
  2. Under Maps, click Configure Tokens.
  3. Search for the token you want to revoke.
  4. In the table, click the row for the token to view more details about the token.
  5. On the top right, click Revoke Token.
  6. If prompted, review and confirm the modal describing the revocation details, then click Revoke.

Account Holder and Admin role required to create and revoke maps tokens.
