MacOS Big Sur Issues
I reset my laptop to the default settings normally (I’ve done it before), but when I tried to reinstall MacOS Big Sur it says “No users available for authorization”. I’ve tried making a new admin through terminal in recovery mode but it isn’t working and Command+S to get to single user mode doesn’t work either. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Building openUSD.org toolset on Big Sur
Trying to build openUSD.org toolset on Mac Big Sur beta. Make file blows up about a third of the way through the process. [ 35%] Built target hdTiny_headerfiles make[2]: * No rule to make target /usr/lib/libm.dylib', needed by pxr/base/arch/libarch.dylib'. Stop. make[1]: * [pxr/base/arch/CMakeFiles/arch.dir/all] Error 2 make: *** [all] Error 2 Looks like it is trying to find /usr/lib/libm.dylib which I think is supposed to be a symbolic link to /usr/lib/libsystem.dlib, but I dont think this exists any more on Big Sur. Any ideas on how to get pass this dependency issue? I think the system library has moved to the cache in Big Sur

How to allow application cores in Big Sur
How do I enable core dumps, persistently, in Big Sur. I am more versed in *nix/linux than macOS. I've had a few apps core dump, and see in the 'Console' that they are not permitted to create core files. I've tried 'ulimit -c unlimited' but this hasn't been perspective - perhaps in part as I'm unsure how to get this persistent for all apps (even outside a login shell) on Big Sur. Is there a simple guide to allowing core dumps ie into /cores as I was able to get that working in previous releases...

Battery Drain Big Sur
My 15 inch MacBook Pro 2016 used to go for like 6 hours but now it's down to 2 hours after the Big Sur update. Am I the only person having this issue? Apple should really fix this. In addition to this even if I'm just looking at a pdf file and literally doing nothing else the fans go crazy. It is so loud and super annoying !!!

Error installing macOS Big Sur
I downloaded the installation profile for macOS Big Sur beta from my apple developer account. It downloads a DMG. When I try to open the DMG I receive an error: macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.dmg is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash. I checked my partition for errors, to no avail. Does anybody know how to fix this, so I can install the beta access utility. Alternatively: is there a way to install Big Sur directly, i.e. without installing the beta access utility first?

Delete Partial Big Sur Download
Hi, I tried downloading Big Sur on to my MacBook Pro (13in 2019) and after I got through the first part of the install, when it came to the download it said I did not have enough space. Can I just delete the 12.2 gb macOS Big Sur installation file to get the disk space back. I can't figure out how to do that reading other answers. Please help!

Unable to update from Big Sur beta 1(20A5299w) to Big Sur beta 9 on DTK?
I'm trying to install the latest Big Sur beta 9 on my Developer Transition Kit (DTK) so far without success after multiple attempts. Some error messages I've gotten: Software Update: When clicking on update now, and after authentication my username, I get a consistent download failed message. An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try again. (I've triple checked that I'm plugged into the functioning ethernet, and WiFi) I've tried to get around this by directly downloading the Install macOS Big Sur Beta directly from the website. (https://developer.apple.com/download/) I'm able to install the Developer Beta Access Utility successfully, and have managed to then download the installer (Install macOS Big Sur Beta), but when I try to open the file I get an error message, This copy of the Install macOS Big Sur Beta application is damaged, and can't be used to install macOS. I've tried

Big Sur issues with iMac Pro?
What's the latest on this issue of Big Sur slowing down or creating havoc with iMac Pro's? I'm running a late 2019 iMac Pro, 10 core, 64 GB RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 64X 16 GB, 1tb, still running Mojave. The upgrade to Catalina caused crashing, slowness and wasted time, so I rolled it back to Mojave and have not had any issues. Should I stay with Mojave or perform the upgrade to Big Sur? Thanks
