Hi everyone, I have a situation where a client is requesting an unsigned IPA file from us so that they can re-sign it for use with their MDM system. What are the downsides of giving out an unsigned IPA, if any? We want to ensure we understand what the worst thing is that can happen if we do this. Thanks.

Previously it was testing the customer through iTunes and creating screenshots. I can not assign ipa to the phone for trial now I can not create screenshots. Could you help. How do we do the test?

Is there any way to install External IPA on iPhone with following conditions:- 1 - Free Developer Account 2 - Already Side-loaded 3 Apps (AltStore) 3 - No Jailbreak 4 - IPA’s Certificate is revoked I wanted to try TestFlight but I don’t know how it works. I went to TestFlight Documentation; it’s saying sign in to iTunes connect. But when I do that there’s nothing I can click among Icons of Apps Store, Music etc. Thanks in advance 🙂

We have some external IOS app developers who have made a app for IOS (IPA package). They have send the IPA file to me, and they have signed it with their own developer certificate - and say that we must sign it with our own, before we can deploy it.Should we as company just sign up for a developer app and then re-sign it or what must be used ? It must be noticed, the App must not be on app store. It is a local company app that we want to deploy to company phones etc, so outside App store Another note. I tried to put the Ipa on a phone through apple configurator 2. It install, but afterwards the icon stay grey - and when trying to click on it, the error comes that the application cannot be installed. Must the app not work through apple configurationer with manual installation ? - or has this also something to do with the developer signing etc ?

I want to automate facetime , but I am not able to get .ipa file for facetime . I am able to get .ipa files for other applications which are not with macOS like youtube etc.
I need to send someone a copy of my beta app so I've registered their devices and email them an Ad Hoc ipa file, but it won't complete installation. I know the profiles are correct, and I know that the ipa file installs to my device. Does the ipa file not email? Is there a better way to share the file?
I am having the same problem trying to upload .ipa with Transporter app and Xcode but both are not working, when authenticating with app store it failed said App Store Connect Operation Error, could not download

Just try to create an empty single page application in Xcode 8, archive and make ipa (export to the App Store deployment).The size of the ipa-file is ~55MB. The project is really empty, only files automatically generated by the Xcode. Is there any way to decrease the size of the ipa-file? Is there any magic in the project settings?Regards,Pavel

I am struggeling to sign a ipa file with company Certiifcate - and actually I have no other apps to do a test with, as I think it is more a app problem then a certificate issue. The signing does not say any error, but app crashes when openingSo would like to find an ipa file I can test with, so I can do another signing and see if the error is the same. Do any have some input how easily to find a ipa file to test with ?

What are the file differences between the IPA I created with Xcode, uploaded to the App Store, and the one downloaded to the end user's phone? Does any process other than encryption, re-signing, and app thinning cause changes in these files?
