Reply to iOS 17 DateFormatter produces unknown characters instead of space for format "MMM dd, yyyy hh:mm a"
During our testing of iPadOS 17 Beta 4 and now 5, we have observed that DateTime objects appear to be initialized differently from what we had seen in iPadOS 16. Presently, we are running Xcode 14.3.1 with Xamarin.iOS v16.0.0.72, in Visual Studio for Mac 2022 v17.6.3 on a MacBook running Ventura 13.3.1 (although several combinations of different versions of these components have not resolved the issue). Examples of what we are seeing when creating DateTime variables: In iPadOS 16, a typical DateTime (ToString()) shows as 7/27/2021 4:49:10 PM. In iPadOS 17 Beta, the same DateTime shows as 7/27/2021 4:49:10 a. A subsequent DateTime.Parse operation on the iPadOS 17 string leads to a Format_UnknownDateTimeWord exception in our application. The behavior is the same whether we are operating on a DateTime value from a database, or even just when creating a new DateTime object in code from scratch. Is this an expected behavior in iPadOS 17, or is it a known issue

iPadOS touch callout CSS does not prevent link from being draggable
When writing web based apps that run in WKWebView we want to write accessible markup and use anchor tags for links. When doing this on iPadOS, if you long press on a link, the element becomes draggable and exposes the URL. As far as I am aware there is no way to disable this. I'd consider this bad UX, the dragging in Safari is useful for opening up a new window, but in the WKWebView this is not possible and, by design, we do not want this to be an option. I was hoping that setting -webkit-touch-callout: none on the element would disable this and I think it should. This is the behaviour on iOS, can we get the same on iPadOS?

App Switcher briefly flashes or disappears on iPadOS 26.0.1
I’m experiencing a strange issue with the App Switcher on my iPad. When I swipe up from the bottom to open the App Switcher, the apps that should be running sometimes don’t appear — they briefly flash for a split second and then disappear. The App Switcher itself stays open, but it shows no app cards. Here are some details: Device: iPad Pro (11-inch, 2nd generation) iPadOS version: 26.0.1 Reproducibility: Happens intermittently Steps to reproduce: Open several apps. Swipe up from the bottom and pause to show the App Switcher. Sometimes, the app cards flash for a moment and then disappear, leaving the App Switcher empty. Expected behavior: The App Switcher should display all running apps consistently. Actual behavior: The App Switcher appears, but the app cards briefly flash and disappear, leaving a blank screen. I’ve seen a few similar reports on the Apple Support Community, but I’m not sure if this is a known issue in iPadOS 26.0.1. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any confirmation

missing locale date format in iOS & iPadOS 14.5
Since iOS 14.5 the date field on a website shows input in international format, even if German localization and German language is selected in the iPhone settings. Same with iPadOS 14.5 The date picker shows up in German localization. After selecting the date in the picker, the displayed format in the date field is „May 2, 2021“. The expected format would be „02.05.2021″, which was displayed in iOS & iPadOS 14.4.2 correctly. Any workaround for this? Or is it a bug? The page I need help with is a client project that has not yet launched. Therefore, unfortunately, I cannot link it.

iPadOS not registering mouse position or move events to move pointer
For accessibility dev purposes, I am trying to move the iPadOS (17.4) pointer via virtual mouse and keyboard events generated via pynput. All keyboard keys, mouse click events, and scroll events are registered when relayed to the iPad and works as expected, except for mouse position and move events. Is this something iPadOS blocks specifically or is there a work around? Thanks in advance

ToolbarItemGroup(placement: .topBarTrailing) draws differently since iPadOS 17.4
Consider the following sample code: import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { NavigationStack{ TabView{ } .navigationTitle(Titel) .navigationBarTitleDisplayMode(.inline) .toolbar{ ToolbarItemGroup(placement: .topBarTrailing){ TextField(Test2, text: .constant(Test2)).textFieldStyle(.roundedBorder) Image(systemName: 1.circle) Image(systemName: 2.circle) Image(systemName: 3.circle) } } } } } This yields a different (wrong) result since iPadOS 17.4. See attached Images. Even Apps compiled with Xcode 15.2 and run on a device using iPadOS 17.4 beta are suddenly affected! All my experiments to get the old behaviour back were unsuccessful. Does anyone know a way?

Account-Driven Device Enrollment for iPadOS 18.2
Hi, I'm glad to hear that the service discovery process is improved on iOS/iPadOS 18.2 mentioned here. https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/deployment/dep4d9e9cd26/1/web/1.0 I tried it on my development MDM server. Set default MDM for iPad to my development MDM server on Apple Business Manager. Call the new API https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/account_driven_enrollment_profile and 200 OK is returned However the service discovery fails with the following error. Invalid well-known response for https://{my email's comain name}/.well-known/com.apple.remotemanagement?user-identifier={my email}&model-family=iPad: Invalid well-known response for https://axm-servicediscovery.apple.com/mdmBaseURL?user-identifier={my email}&model-family=iPad: It seems fallback process to https://axm-servicediscovery.apple.com/mdmBaseURL actually works but it returns 404 Not Found error. How can we use this awesome feature? Thank you :)

Reply to IOKit on iOS
Hi. Yes, I'm sorry about that. Thank you for still looking into this. I should have added that my follow up question was about iPadOS. Can DriveKit be used on iPadOS to communicate with a non-MFi certified third party CCID reader? I did some research and found out that only USBDriverKit is available on iPadOS and it needs an entitlement from Apple to develop drivers with it. Is USBDriverKit the correct driver kit to use here or is something more complex like SerialDriverKit more appropriate (but also not available on iPadOS). Sorry again about the confusion! And thank you for your help!

Reply to use `NEHotspotConfigurationManager.shared.apply(hotspotConfig)` to join a wifi slow on iphone17+
Ah, yes, sorry about that. That was a mix up on our part. The request is for you to: Enable additional logging by installing the following profiles: Wi-Fi for iOS/iPadOS VPN (Network Extension) for iOS/iPadOS FaceTime for iOS/iPadOS You can find all of these on our Bug Reporting > Profiles and Logs page. Reproduce the problem. Trigger a sysdiagnose log (see the Sysdiagnose for iOS/iPadOS instructions). Attach that to your bug report. A non-existent black line is shown by UIImageView in iOS / iPadOS 16
UIImageView seems to show a non-existent black line on the right or bottom side when trying to display the image file with the following attribues in iOS / iPadOS 16.2. This issue does not occur on iOS / iPadOS 15 and earlier. Here are image file attributes when this happens: Odd number of pixels, 129 pixels or more in width or height 8 bit grayscale (NOT 24 bit color) Has anyone had the same issue or knows a workaround?
