App stuck in “Waiting for Review” for 3+ weeks (Case ID: 20000107493507)
Hi everyone, My iOS app “TaskCal: Task Manager” (version 1.2.8) has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for more than 3 weeks, and I’m not sure what else I can do at this point. Here are the key dates (GMT+8): Jan 30, 2026 – Version 1.2.3 was approved and marked “Ready for Distribution”. Jan 31 – Feb 8, 2026 – I submitted version 1.2.8 multiple times. Several submissions were later marked as “Removed” in App Store Connect. Feb 9, 2026, 12:39 AM – I submitted version 1.2.8 again. This submission has been in “Waiting for Review” ever since. Today is Mar 3, 2026 (Taipei time) – The status is still “Waiting for Review” with no change. Because of this, I contacted Apple Developer Support multiple times through Contact Support. I only received one reply, on Feb 21, 2026, which said: Hello Alan, Thank you for reaching out to Developer Support about your app, “TaskCal: Task Manager.” I understand that you’re concerned. After reviewing your app’s submission history, I can confirm that your apps is still in the “Waiting

App review stuck in “Waiting for Review” for over 3 weeks (TaskCal: Task Manager)
Hi everyone, I’m an iOS indie developer based in Taipei, and I’m running into a strange App Review delay that I haven’t been able to resolve through the usual channels. My app “TaskCal: Task Manager” (iOS), version 1.2.8, has been in the “Waiting for Review” status since February 9, 2026 in App Store Connect. It’s now been more than 3 weeks with no movement at all — no change to “In Review”, no rejection, no message from App Review. Here are some details: Platform: iOS App name: TaskCal: Task Manager Version: 1.2.8 Status: Waiting for Review Submitted: 2026-02-09 (Asia/Taipei time) Region: App Store Connect account registered in Taiwan I’ve already tried the following: Used App Store Connect → Contact Us → App Review to submit a support request. Got one reply from Developer Support saying they “understand my concern” and that they would “reach out to the appropriate team.” After that, there’s been no further update — the status is still stuck on “Waiting for Review,” and I haven’t received any additi

How do I resolve the "Automatic signing cannot update bundle identifier..." error?
When I create an archive file and attempt to upload the app using the Distribute App button, the upload fails with the error Automatic signing cannot update bundle identifier.... (The detailed message is below.) When creating an archive file in Xcode, I unchecked Automatically Manage Signing and proceeded with the archive. The message says Font Enumeration, but other apps with the same option enabled upload successfully. Therefore, I believe the Font Enumeration option is not the issue. I tried creating a new provisioning file, but it still doesn't work. I deleted all DerivedData files from my Mac storage, restarted Xcode, and tried again, but it still doesn't work. This keeps happening only for certain targets (specific apps) in Xcode. Does anyone know how to fix this? Xcode is the latest version. Message: Automatic signing cannot update bundle identifier com.xxxxxx.xxxxxx. Automatic signing cannot update your registered bundle identifier to enable Font Enumeration. Unable to Locate Pending Terms & Conditions in App Store Connect
Hi, For the past week, I’ve been receiving the following warning when performing a sales figures sync through AppFigures: “[Apple ID] has new terms to agree to in App Store Connect. We will try to continue importing but some data may not be available. Please log in to your App Store Connect account and accept the Terms & Conditions.” However, when I log in to App Store Connect and review the Agreements, Tax, and Banking section, there are no pending agreements or new terms requiring acceptance. All agreements appear to be active and in effect. Because the warning persists, I’m wondering whether there may be a backend agreement or updated term that is not properly surfacing in the interface. While inspecting the page, I also noticed the following console warnings on appstoreconnect.apple.com: tb-alertbox--warn ng-isolate-scope is not valid I’m not sure whether this is related, but I wanted to mention it in case it could be preventing a required agreement notice from displaying. Thank you for your

Reply to Apps stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 23 days due to pending agreements. What happens now?
I wonder if there’s an issue with ASC. Since last week, I get this warning when syncing my sale figures with AppFigures: »[Apple ID] has new terms to agree to in App Store Connect. We will try to continue importing but some data may not be available. Please log in to your App Store Connect account and accept the Terms & Conditions. » However, all agreements are marked as active.

Reply to IsEligibleForAgeFeatures behavior in Brazil
@DTS Engineer None of the above linked documents answer any of these 4 questions. Based on https://developer.apple.com/documentation/declaredagerange/requesting-people-share-their-age-range-with-your-app we can answer questions 1 and 4 ourselves. We can expect that for all users with Brazilian App Store accounts: Before the date, isEligibleForAgeFeatures will return false. After the date, isEligibleForAgeFeatures will return true. For Question 3, the Brazilian law says: This Law shall enter into force six months after the date of its publication. And I think it was published on September 17, 2025, so it should be effective March 17, 2026. I don't know anything about Question 2's answer.

Reply to Provisional Permission is not working as expected in iOS 16
I observed the same for iOS 18. There is a partial workaround: when authorization status is .notDetermined, request only .provisional authorization when authorization status is .authorized (i.e. after the user chose Keep), request [.alert, .badge, .sound] This way you at least get support for badges and sound, but it is still bad because the Lock screen and Banner settings will still be disabled and I think there is no way to re-request them programmatically. Unfortunately this makes provisional authorization kind of undesirable for many use cases.

Demo Content or Not for Submission
Hello. We've developed a compatibility engine for the App Store. We collect very detailed profile information from users and use this information to dynamically calculate compatibility scores with the help of AI, recommending users to each other. The app is newly completed and we don't have any real users yet. My questions are: We are at the initial approval stage, Should we submit a completely empty application, or will the reviewer account create accounts with matching genders? Should we create one or more fake users? We have profiles that we created as demos (to inspire users) and indicated with a badge as demos, but these don't appear in the Explore section. Should we add these people to the explore section? Assuming the people appearing in the explore section are demos, should the request to meet button be active for these demo content? Should it be possible to chat with demo people? After the submission is approved, will we delete the fake people or remove the demo people from the Expl

Reply to Apple Developer Program Enrollment Pending for Over 3 Weeks (Identity Verification)
after 3 weeks of back and forth (it takes roughly 5-10 business days for them to reply) I got the email which states that as a gesture of goodwill they will refund me the money and they should hit my account 30-60 days (lol). Problem is I'VE NEVER ASKED for a refund, I just want my dev account to be enabled. It seems that they don't read the tickets regarding dev accounts and just apply simple copypasta as a response (in their first response I got suggestion to follow all the steps I outlined as not-working in my support ticket lol) Obviously I will try to create another account and pay for it but the only problem is that I don't know should I wait up to two months for my money to come back and whole old enrollment procedure to expire or send them a support ticket and wait two weeks for a reply which most likely won't solve any problem ? They're too cryptic with their communication.

What risks do you think indie iOS developers face in 2026?
I’m interested in hearing what currently concerns other indie iOS developers, as 2026 feels both exciting and somewhat fragile to me, with the constant worry that an Apple account issue or unexpected rejection could undo years of hard work overnight. AI has made cloning apps easier than ever and even strong niches can quickly attract well funded competitors, so while I’m optimistic about building, these are the realities I often find myself thinking about.
