Developer Account Enrollment - Payment wont go through!
Hello, is there any solution for what I am facing? Ive already tried everything to sign up for a developer account. Used 7 cards (2 debit cards and 5 credit cards) + I even made a Wise account and make an online debit card. All payments wont go through. I also tried calling Apple Support but they only said to send an email because they dont have a way of contacting Apple Support for Developers. I have sent an email March 17 but up to now I havent received any reply.

Reply to PencilKit PKCanvasView flicker
Thanks for confirming and hope a fix will come soon. I did file a bug: FB22063128 As for the view hierarchy, I've since found that the amount of flicker seems to be dependent on the amount of pen strokes you do before you zoom. If you draw heavily on the entire paper before zooming you do eventually reach a state where the flickering doesn't stop and continues forever.

Reply to Apple watch Xcode pairing & connection issues
After 7 hours, successfully managed to get my first deployment on the watch. Definitely not something you expect from apple, in fact I cussed them out the whole way through. But here's what I did Mostly followed entouss's guide and most advice is reiterated from him + some of my experiences Before you do anything, make sure Apple Watch is fully charged (this WILL take a long time) It has a passcode You might get the bright idea to remove the passcode and put it on charger to prevent lock. Keep it on. Pre-pair Make sure you're on a 2.4 ghz network (mobile hotspot or create guest network on router) Connect all devices to that network Shutdown all devices and start them up 1 by 1 to start from a clean slate Get it to show up in Xcode devices If your apple watch is already in the xcode device list, DO NOT unpair it as it may not show back up again without large hassle WATCH for trust this device messages on your apple watch. Reply to IsEligibleForAgeFeatures behavior in Brazil
Hi @tomatomato, @jarrodlombardo-eventbase, @raphaelkohncr, Thanks for your continued patience. Before I begin, the answer below applies to current regional requirements as of the iOS 26.4 release, and should also be used as guidance for any upcoming regional regulations. You wrote: 1. What's the return value of IsEligibleForAgeFeatures for a Brazilian user who has NOT touched the age range feature at all, thus hasn't picked one of the three options? The intended usage of isEligibleForAgeFeatures is to determine whether associated laws or regulations may apply to your app based on the person's region and account settings. If your app is eligible for age-gated features and needs to support age assurance for the current user, the property returns true; otherwise, it returns false. It's a simple boolean value—if you require more granularity for the specific regulatory requirements, use requiredRegulatoryFeatures as well. Next, you wrote: 2. How can we test these cases? No responds on enrollment status.
Hi I'm new here and trying so enroll in apple developers program and so I was met with problems like unable to create apple account, failed payment on 7 cards, 3 support tickets with no responds, and now I have enrolled in apple developers program (sort of, they just took payment and no news after that. Now running 3 days since payment. Is this some sort of a hazing ceremony or a sick joke apple is doing to new developers? or is there a secret email I can contact to get some decent support?

Reply to PencilKit PKCanvasView flicker
Thank you for the sample project and the video — both were very helpful. We were able to reproduce the flickering on iPad with Apple Pencil using your sample project. We tested several potential app-level workarounds (deferring contentInset updates, guarding against layout recalculation during active drawing, consolidating CATransaction blocks) but none of them resolved the issue. Based on our investigation, the flicker appears to be occurring within PKCanvasView's internal tile rendering when drawing at non-1x zoom scales, rather than being caused by anything in your app code. Our engineering teams need to investigate this issue, as resolution may involve changes to Apple's software. Please file a bug report, include a small Xcode project and some directions that can be used to reproduce the problem, and post the Feedback number here once you do. I'll check the status next time I do a sweep of forums posts where I've suggested bug reports and post any information about changes I am

Triggering “realtime” mode for peer-to-peer WiFi via awdl to fix jitter problems
This is a bit complicated to explain so bare with me. I am working on building an app that allows you to send real time video/camera captures from one Apple device to another. I am using a custom UDP protocol built on top of NWListener, NWBrowser, and NWConnection APIs. It works fine, but there are a few issues that seems to all be related to awdl: When transmitting via WiFi over the router (not using peer-to-peer), there are periodic interruptions when the wireless card on the device changes channels for awdl polling. This is resolved by changing the 5GHz WiFi channel on the router to channel 149 (or disabling AWDL altogether which is not really feasible). In order to work around number 1, I decided to build in an option to toggle/prefer peer-to-peer transmission in the app thinking that if everything goes over a peer-to-peer connection the jitter caused from the channel switching should go away. This also works, but with an important caveat. The default transmission is extremely choppy until you ta

AVAudioFile.read extremely slow after seeking in FLAC and MP3 files
I'm developing an audio player app that uses AVAudioFile to read PCM data from various formats. I'm experiencing severe performance issues when seeking in FLAC, while other compressed formats (M4A/AAC) work correctly. I don't intend to use them in my app, but I also tested mp3 files just by curiosity and they also have this issue. Environment: macOS 26 (Tahoe) Xcode 26.3 Apple Silicon (M1) The issue: After setting AVAudioFile.framePosition to a position mid-file, the subsequent call to AVAudioFile.read(into:frameCount:) blocks for an unreasonable amount of time for FLAC and MP3 files. The delay scales linearly with the seek target, seeking near the beginning is fast, seeking toward the end is proportionally slower, which suggests the decoder is decoding linearly from the beginning of the file rather than using any seek index. (My app deals with “images” of Audio CDs ripped as a single long audio file.) The issue is particularly severe when reading files from an SMB network share (server on Ethernet,

DeviceActivityMonitor extension rejected by App Store Connect validator — NSExtensionPointIdentifier "com.apple.deviceactivity.monitor" invalid (IrisAPI -19241)
Hi everyone, I'm building an iOS app that uses a DeviceActivityMonitor app extension as part of the Screen Time / Family Controls API. Every time I try to upload my IPA to App Store Connect, the validation fails with this error: Invalid Info.plist value. The value of the NSExtensionPointIdentifier key, com.apple.deviceactivity.monitor, in the Info.plist of 'Alexandria.app/PlugIns/AlexandriaActivityMonitor.appex' is invalid. Error Domain=IrisAPI Code=-19241, iris-code=STATE_ERROR.VALIDATION_ERROR What I have verified (everything looks correct): NSExtensionPointIdentifier = com.apple.deviceactivity.monitor NSExtensionPrincipalClass = AlexandriaActivityMonitor.AlexandriaActivityMonitorExtension (correctly resolved in the compiled binary, verified with plutil -p) The Swift class correctly subclasses DeviceActivityMonitor CFBundleShortVersionString matches the main app Both the main app and extension provisioning profiles explicitly contain com.apple.developer.family-controls = true (verified by inspecting embedde

Reply to “Desktop & Documents Folders” feature in iCloud Drive.
Hello StrayDog, Thank you for this post! These forums are for questions about developing software and accessories for Apple platforms. Your question seems related to a consumer feature and is better suited for the Apple Support Communities https://discussions.apple.com/welcome I would recommend to post it there instead of the developer forums.  Travis
