Reply to Persisted log entries disappeared?
Each system log entry has time to live (TTL) value. You can see evidence for this in various places within the UI. For example: % sudo log stream … TTL … 0 fseventsd: (libsystem_info.dylib) Resolve user group list … … 7 WindowServer: (SkyLight) [com.apple.SkyLight:KeyboardEvent] kCGSEventKeyUp … AFAIK there’s no supported way to override that, but if you poke around in /System/Library/Preferences/Logging on your Mac it’s not hard to see how it works. WARNING As with all implementation details, there’s no guarantee that this will actually work, or that it hasn’t worked differently in the past, or will work differently in the future. So don’t build knowledge of this into a product that you ship to a wide range of users. Reply to No "Declared Age Range" from Capability
[quote='813285021, SimonWei, /thread/813285, /profile/SimonWei'] there is no such thing [/quote] Are you a member of a paid developer team? Do you have that team selected in Signing & Capabilities? If you’re using a Personal Team — that is, using any Apple Account for local development without signing up to paid team — then you won’t be able to use this capability. Developer Account Help > Reference > Supported capabilities (iOS) explains the background to this, although it hasn’t yet been updated to cover this specific capability (r. 168576113). Reply to Pending Termination Notice and App Removed from Store
The following states what they say you have done. App submissions from your account have engaged in concept or feature switch schemes to evade the review process, such as dynamically populating different app content after review, submitting apps with hidden features, repeatedly submitting misleading apps, and/or submitting apps with concrete references to content that you are not authorized to provide or is otherwise not appropriate for the App Store.

NSKeyedArchiving issue
I have a large code that I try to update to change deprecated APIs. In the former version, I used forWritingWith and forReadingWith let data = NSMutableData() let archiver = NSKeyedArchiver(forWritingWith: data) archiver.encode(myObject, forKey: theKey) if let data = NSMutableData(contentsOf: anURL) { let unarchiver = NSKeyedUnarchiver(forReadingWith: data as Data) let myObject = unarchiver.decodeObject(forKey: theKey) as! TheObjectType // <<-- returns the object That I changed to let data = NSMutableData() let archiver = NSKeyedArchiver(requiringSecureCoding: true) archiver.encode(myObject, forKey: theKey) if let data = NSMutableData(contentsOf: anURL) { do { let unarchiver = try NSKeyedUnarchiver(forReadingFrom: data as Data) let myObject = unarchiver.decodeObject(forKey: theKey) as? TheObjectType // <<-- This returns nil This builds correctly. But on execution, unarchiver.decodeObject now returns nil. I have searched extensively to find the cause to no avail. I may probably change the

The user previously upgraded to version 26.1, then downgraded to 18.6.2 for certain reasons, and has now upgraded back to 26.1. Currently, an issue has occurred once on version 26.1 where two values keep switching back and forth. Since we record this value on the server during user registration, we noticed that the user’s value has changed. Moreover, this value will not change randomly, and the user stated that they have not modified the facial recognition data of the device.

With manipulation component, once you let go, how to prevent the entity from disappearing while animating it back into the volume
So with the new ManipulationComponent, we can choose stay and then if you drag it out of your volume, once you let go it will instantly disappear. We can animate it back to inside the volume, eg.: content.subscribe(to: ManipulationEvents.WillRelease.self) { event in Entity.animate( .easeInOut(duration: 1), body: { event.entity.position = [0, 0.2, 0] }, completion: {} ) }, Howeve,r for the duration that it travels outside of the volume it's invisible the whole time. In this apple video, it seems to be visible when dragging and when letting go, but perhaps that's not a volume they're dragging it out of? https://youtu.be/VtenPKrvPOU?si=y1zoZOs2IMyDzOm6&t=1748 Does anyone know how to keep the entity visible even when after letting the entity go while you animate it back towards inside of your volume?

Unable to sync SwiftData model fully using CloudKit
Hey everyone I just ran into an issue where I couldn't sync the model below fully by using CloudKit, enum LinkMapV3_1: VersionedSchema { static let versionIdentifier: Schema.Version = .init(3, 1, 0) static var models: [any PersistentModel.Type] { [AnnotationData.self, GroupData.self, Item.self, Deployment.self, History.self] } // MARK: - Data @Model class AnnotationData { var name: String = var longitude: Double = 0.0 var latitude: Double = 0.0 var order: Int = -1 var level: Int = 1 var detail: String = @Relationship(deleteRule: .nullify, inverse: GroupData.annotation) var groups: [GroupData]? @Relationship(deleteRule: .nullify, inverse: AnnotationData.to) var from: AnnotationData? var to: AnnotationData? var history: History? } // MARK: - History @Model class History { var id: UUID = UUID() var timestamp: Date = Date() @Relationship(deleteRule: .nullify, inverse: AnnotationData.history) var annotations: [AnnotationData]? @Relationship(deleteRule: .nullify, inverse: GroupData.history) var groups: [GroupData

Is it possible for Xcode to display warnings from package dependencies?
I have quite a few in-door local packages that I do not really develop outside of the context of Xcode projects - meaning that I add local references to these libraries (and other content) to my Xcode project - and I update the libraries directly in Xcode within the project. I very rarely open up the library package on its own and work on it just like that. The unfortunate thing is that Xcode seems to be silencing warnings from all the packages during the build phase, resulting in me not seeing warnings from those libraries. I then need to open them separately in Xcode and review whether they contain any warnings and fix them. Using treat warnings as errors is, of course, one solution, but it doesn't help in cases where it's impossible to avoid them (e.g. https://github.com/swiftlang/swift/issues/86650) as there's no #pragma push; or in case of user-defined #warning which I often use to mark parts of code that need revisiting. I've gone through various settings, but I don't see anyt

Behavior of Bookmark URLs and Files App Recently Deleted – Clarification and Potential Bug
I am developing an iOS/iPadOS application and have encountered some behavior regarding Files App and security-scoped bookmarks that I would like to clarify. Additionally, I would like to report some behavior which might include a potential issue. Question1: Accessing deleted files via bookmark (Specification clarification) Our app saves file URLs as bookmarks, which file that user has selected on Files App or app-created so to open a file which user has modified previously in the next launch. When a user deletes a file in Files App (moves a file to Recently Deleted), the app can still resolve the bookmark and access the file for read/write operations. Is this behavior intended? In other words, is it correct that a bookmark can access a file that has been deleted in Files App but not permanently removed? Question2: Overwriting a file in Recently Deleted (Potential bug) We noticed that overwriting a file in Recently Deleted behaves

Reply to Free trial for one-time purchase: Is the $0 IAP workaround still recommended in 2026?
I'm in a similar situation and considering the $0 IAP for starting the app. But, it's not really nice from the user perspective. My better option would be to use my backend to validate and start the app for a trial, and present the purchase button as IAP if and when the user decides to buy it. This would avoid 0$ purchases that feels a bit strange imho. Not sure if this is allowed though as the language on the app review rules it's not super clear to me.

Treadmill integration and weighted vest with HealthKit
I don't understand why elevation data is not stored in the sample using a standard length unit. Why is it stored in HKQuantityTypeIdentifier.flightsClimbed (which is 10 feet)? Surely it is not a memory usage issue. Treadmill GATT provides elevation in meters. Using HKMetadataKeyElevationAscended for the total elevation gain throws away a lot of data. Why is there no support for weighted vest or backpack? Changing body weight is not the same and provides incorrect energy. Users want to compare workouts with different weights. I don't see any metadata key for carried weight.
