Hello, I would like to ask a question regarding documentation related to app sales. Currently, I’m researching the sales process for an app and realized that I lack sufficient understanding when it comes to creating official documents such as estimates, invoices, and receipts — especially when dealing with corporate clients. In our company’s case, we can issue documents based on the net revenue (after platform fees are deducted). However, when issuing these documents to a client, would it be more appropriate to include a breakdown showing both the platform fee and the app usage fee? I would greatly appreciate any insights or examples of how others have handled similar situations. Thank you in advance.

Hi We've had an Enterprise Developer a/c for years. But last year they asked a bunch a questions to confirm we were a company. I answered them all and then it said it would review the answers. Were a big company and answered these questions before so just expected it to go through. Then our Enterprise Program a/c was up for renewal in April. But the money was never taken from the company cc and every expiry date the renewal date keeps moving forward a month. Its now been moved to Sep 2025. Either were getting April-Sep free or were going to be landed with a CC bill for 12+5 months soon. Anyone else seeing this. Is there an email or webpage for Enterprise a/c support? We have the money :)

During MDM Automated Device Enrollment of Apple TV, the web view defined by configuration_web_url is not working. We are using the web view to display the usage policy for all devices. While the web view functions correctly for other devices, it is resulting in an error specifically for Apple TV. Could you please clarify whether Apple plans to implement support for this feature on Apple TV in the future or if it will not be supported? Context: I’m not an app developer, but I’m doing some research in order to gain a high level understanding of an app that I want some developers to build for me. Basically I need a navigation app built (integrated with Google Maps) that works pretty much like Google Maps. This app will connect to and stream live navigation data to a car HUD (heads-up-display) device using WiFi direct (to facilitate high bandwidth streaming). The purpose of the streaming from the mobile app to the HUD is so that the driver can see the live map without having to look at their phone. This leads me to my QUESTION: this functionality (streaming from app to HUD) is similar to what AirPlay does & I’ve read that Apple rejects apps that replicate AirPlay’s screen mirroring function. I’ve also read that in order to work around this, my app should limit the information that is sent to & displayed by the HUD device (basically, shouldn’t mirror the whole screen). So, would Apple still reject my app if it only streamed the live map onto the HUD device & left out all the other information displayed on the app (ETA, turn signals, distances etc.) and thus refraining from streaming the entire screen?

Microsoft are retiring the “Azure AD Graph API”. We allow the use of Apple email apps in our M365 tenant via the “Apple Internet Accounts” Entra ID Enterprise Application, however this is using the “User.Read” permission from this retiring “Azure AD Graph API”. My concern is that Apple email app’s will stop working in our tenant when Microsoft retire the “Azure AD Graph API” and this permission is removed, as this is an Apple managed Enterprise Application, we have no method of changing the permissions ourselves. I have not been able to find any information on how the “Apple Internet Accounts” Entra ID Enterprise Application can be updated to use the required, newer “Microsoft Graph API” “User.Read” permission. It is not possible for us to change the permissions on the “Apple Internet Accounts” Entra ID Enterprise Application in our tenant, my assumption is that Apple would need to deploy a newer version of Email app that uses the newer “Microsoft Graph API” “User.Read” permission, and we would then need to consent the use of this new permission in our tenant. I would have thought Apple would have deploy this by now, but we have not seen any consent requests. Does anyone have any information about how Apple are handling this Microsoft change and how we can pre-emptively update the “Apple Internet Accounts” Entra ID Enterprise Application to ensure that Apple email client continue to work in our tenant? I am having an issue with duplicated SCEP client certificates on an iOS device. We deployed an SCEP profile via MDM, then deleted and redeployed it via MDM. In Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, only one SCEP profile is visible. However, Safari shows duplicated certificates when a server requests a client certificate. We have tried removing the cert profile on MDM and unenrolling the device from MDM, but only the latest certificate got removed, leaving previous ones stuck on the device or in the Safari app. We have found no way to remove these duplicated certificates other than factory reset the devices. This appears to be a potential iOS bug affecting certificate cleanup. We need assistance to resolve this issue. Also, the issue is difficult to reproduce but has happened to a number of our managed devices.

Hello, We are currently deploying Apple devices in our organization using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and are looking for a long-term self-hosted MDM solution. We initially considered MicroMDM, but since official support will end in December 2025, we are evaluating NanoMDM. I would like to confirm: Is NanoMDM a stable and production-ready option for long-term use with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE)? Does NanoMDM support all essential features like: Supervision Remote wipe App deployment Configuration profiles Are there any limitations or known issues with using NanoMDM? Are there any other open-source or lightweight MDM solutions Apple developers recommend that are actively maintained? We are aiming for a reliable, secure, and future-proof self-hosted MDM setup. Main Issue We are experiencing an issue where iOS devices become unresponsive when attempting to shutdown or reboot from the lock screen while locked into Single App Mode via MDM or Apple Configurator. Steps to Reproduce: Start any iOS device. Use Apple Configurator or an MDM solution to enable Single App Mode. Wait for the device to lock into the specified app. Lock the device so that it goes to the lock screen. Hold the Power button and Volume Up button until the shutdown/emergency screen appears. At this point, the device becomes unresponsive. After approximately 30 seconds, the message "Guided Access app unavailable. Please contact your administrator" appears. The device is now frozen, and the only way to recover is to force restart it using Apple's forced restart method (Apple Support Link). Additional Issue: Additionally, we observe that when using an app in Single App Mode, attempting to reboot the device and canceling the reboot prevents any subsequent reboot attempts until a force restart is performed. Steps to Reproduce This Behavior: Lock the iOS device into Single App Mode. Use the app normally. Attempt to shut down the device by holding the Power and Volume Up buttons. The shutdown/emergency screen appears as expected. Cancel the shutdown by tapping "Cancel." The device returns to the lock screen. Swipe up to return to the app. Attempt to shut down the device again using the same method. Nothing happens—the shutdown screen no longer appears. The only way to reboot the device now is through a forced restart. This appears to be a bug in Single App Mode behavior, potentially related to Guided Access restrictions. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this the right place to report this issue? or should I report it elsewhere? I have more videos and material showing how to reproduce this issue if needed.

Can I upload custom app onto the ABM? if yes then how can we install it into the user's devices?

Is it mandatory to get explicit user consent in iOS apps to collect their product usage data anonymously with something like mixpanel. Note: this is not for advertising purposes, but only to make the product better based on usage patterns.

Finally got to the stage where the ACME certificate profile is successfully installed. However, the public key/certificate itself isn't appearing in the System Keychain. I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's an indication that something went wrong after the profile installation. Unfortunately, I didn't study the log detail at the time and I'm uncertain of how to retrieve those logs from two days ago for the ACME activities. Can anyone confirm that macOS 26 should be storing ACME-retrieved MDM profile-based certificates in the System Keychain? If they should be there, what can possibly go wrong? The most obvious issue I can see is that the ACME server has requested the certificate with two CN's, which comes from the MDM profile asking for the subject against CN and the OID (2.5.4.3). Both CN's are identical. I'm surprised the profile installed if something is wrong. At first, I assumed Apple had decided to stop installing the certificates into the System Keychain.

Path to the APN fields: Settings > Mobile > Mobile Data Network > APN Tested iOS version: 17.3, 17.5, 18.2, 18.3 Configuration message received: Configuration message installed: APN fields are empty: Could you give us any suggestions ? I'm trying to set up a configuration profile on a supervised device for a kid's phone. I want to force a VPN 100% of the time except for local network activity and some specific domains. Or at the very least, have a few apps go outside the tunnel. Apple makes this IMPOSSIBLE even though according to the documentation it should be possible. The IKEv2 vpntype has a key "OnDemandUserOverrideDisabled" which is supposed to prevent a user from toggling off the vpn, which obviously defeats the purpose of having it. However, as other users have posted, this DOES NOT WORK. So anyone can just turn off the vpn and be connected to the internet unprotected. On the "AlwaysOn" vpntype, the element "ApplicationExceptions" which would allow you to list a few applications that can go outside the tunnel DOES NOT WORK. This is critical because so many domains automatically block vpn servers and it's a huge pain. Also local network activity also gets blocked, which makes it impossible to connect to local devices. And there's no split tunneling possible with this vpntype. So basically, it's impossible. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF APPLE DID THIS INTENTIONALLY TO KEEP KIDS ADDICTED AND IN DANGER SO THEY USE THE PHONE MORE.

Hello We have devices setup with in ABM and managed with Intune. Having only ever setup shared iPad's, we have a new request with managing iPhone's. The customer wants the iPhone's managed, but users enabled to purchase apps for the app store using their own credit card (or Apple ID) These are not BYOD devices and federated sign is not an option at this time. Can this be done with example User affinity profiles? Many thanks

Same for DH Groups 2-5

I'm developing an ACME server to issue identity certificates to macOS/iOS devices for MDM attestation, following RFC 8555. Per RFC, the client creates an order, performs authorization, verifies the challenge, and finalizes the order by submitting a CSR to the CA. In my setup, the CA sometimes takes longer to issue the certificate (around 50 seconds). According to RFC 8555, if certificate issuance isn’t complete after the /finalize call, the server should respond with an "order" object with a "processing" status. The client should then send a POST-as-GET request to the order resource (e.g., /order/<order_id>) to check the current state. If the CA still hasn’t issued the certificate, the server should return the order object with the same "processing" status and include a "Retry-After" header, indicating when the client should retry. The client is expected to poll the order resource at this specified interval with POST-as-GET requests. However, it seems the Apple ACME client ignores the "Retry-After" header and instead returns the error: "Profile failed - Order status is processing, not yet valid" immediately upon the first poll response with "processing." Apple ACME client deviating from the RFC documentation. Has anyone found a reliable solution to this issue? Or does Apple supports asynchronous order finalization? I have the following setup: Managed domain (pdfforge.org) Managed app (Dropbox) with Files app integration. This can also occur with the following setup: A custom browser is installed as managed (ex Firefox) No managed domains Managed app (Dropbox) with Files app integration. Trying to upload a file from Dropbox in this managed domain by clicking on the Dropbox folder causes the folder to disappear and instead I am rerouted to the On My Phone directory. On subsequent tries, sometimes the folder opens and I can see the files, but while scrolling the files disappear. This makes it unable to upload any files from Dropbox to this managed domain. If both the managed app and domains are not set up, then everything works normally. Is this happening to everyone else? I also tried with Nextcloud and Google Drive.
