My app records the screen to use the audio for audio analysis for a music visualization. The app works perfectly in production but when uploaded to Transporter is rejected as below. What is the correct entitlement to use as the entitlement I am using seems deprecated.
Validation failed (409)
Invalid Code Signing Entitlements. Your application bundle's signature contains code signing entitlements that are not supported on macOS. Specifically, key 'com.apple.security.screen-capture' in 'com.boxedpandora.pulse.pkg/Payload/PuLsE.app/Contents/MacOS/PuLsE' is not supported. (ID: a1a436f5-925d-43bc-908d-0761064d589b)

Hi
I am building obs studio using cmake and Xcode.
I used
cmake --preset macos -DOBS_CODESIGN_IDENTITY="" to generate the build folder
and inside X code used Provisioning Profile with Developer ID Application certification.
The build was generated successfully but when I tried to turn on the virtual camera I see missing Missing entitlement com.apple.developer.system-extension.install error.
(My Provisioning profile has System Extension Capability checked on apple developer portal)
If I use this flow instead:
cmake --preset macos -DOBS_CODESIGN_TEAM=63B5A5WDNG
Build using Xcode with Automatic manage signing with Apple Developer Certificate.
Obs studio builds successfully and Virtual camera extension also works fine.
My primary goal is to notarise my app which contains OBS studio and Blackhole Audio driver for distribution outside app store.
If I try to sign my obs app generated in second step
codesign --deep --force --timestamp --verify --verbose \
--options runtime
--sign "Developer ID Application:***"
"OBS.app"
The obs app fails to launch due to some errors.
Can anyone please guide me which step I might be doing wrong,
Much Appreciated.
Thanks
We have an app which is hybrid using React Native and Native features. We released our app recently which showed issues related to missing packages/corrupt package but xCode didn't gave any error and we were able to Archive and submit app successfully.

Hello, when building and signing my application in a Github actions workflow, I am facing an issue on the latest version of xCode (16.4). This issue is resolved by downgrading to 16.3.
My CI/CD pipeline is running headless and installing provisioning profile to ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles.
I have a valid Developer ID Certificate, I've used it to sign an app locally and send the app to other machines of my colleagues to make sure it works and does not get triggered by GateKeeper
Now I want to automate the process of signing and notarization on github actions and so I want to export my certificate and upload it there.
Initially I tried uploading both the Developer ID Certificate and the G2 CA both as .cer files encoded in base64. But apparently I need my certificate to be in .p12 format
When I try to export it from keychain access the option to export as .p12 is disabled. So how can I do it ?

I’ve been having problems with MacOS builds. I’m making a release Appstore build and uploading it to Testflight. However when running it instantly crashes, and report screen shows the following:
Current flow:
I sign all files in PlugIns/ (we have a number of .bundle), and I’ve tried combinations of signing with/without --entitlements, as well as with/without --deep.
After this I sign Frameworks/GameAssembly.dylib and Frameworks/UnityPlayer.dylib. Again, I’ve tried combinations of with/without --entitlements and --deep, also not signing them at all.
After signing PlugIns and frameworks, I sign the .app, also tried this with/without --deep (always with --entitlements).
Finally I make a .pkg and upload to Testflight.
It’s not the game, as I can make an enterprise version that runs fine.
We have some restricted entitlements, such as Apple Arcade.
Building from an M1 mac, and architecture is Universal (Intel + ARM).
Unity documentation says to use --deep, but Apple documentation highly recommend against it.
So basically, my question is, how and in what order should I sign the files?
Much obliged!
Hello,
i have a problem. From one day to another i get following error (I never experienced this error with the same profile before) while trying to build and release my app via fastlane:
exportArchive Provisioning profile "" doesn't support the External Link Account capability.
Looking in the App developer website, it seems, that the existing and valid profile includes this capability. On the other side, inspecting the profile via xcode profile download, there is no hint that this capability is enabled.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I submitted a mac app for Notarization. For the first few tries the Notarization failed with an error "Team is not yet configured for Notarization" but few days after my account started to show "ENROLL" option again even though my membership was set to expire on 2026. I am doubting my account has been suspended. I have not received any emails from apple regarding the suspension. I have contacted support but no help yet ! This was the second year, i was paying for the membership. Could you please help me to -
Help me get the account unsuspended (if it is, as there is no notification or information regarding this)
If the account is suspended due to my app being submitted for Notarization then help me identify the reason so that i can fix them.
Mac App is Time Tracking application that runs in background and capture periodic screenshot(NOTE - I am doing this after taking user consent)

Hello Colleagues,
We have been seeing a delay in our Apple notarization submission that hangs for hours "in progress" without completing:
This issue has been occurring since Friday, October 17th.
We have also checked the Apple System Status page and there is no indication of any outage for Apple notarization.
Xcode is prompting I enter a codesign login password when I am archiving my project. My password seems incorrect since there is no action after I enter my password and tap allow. what could be the problem?

Our app .dmg file was successfully code signed. We then revised the app and created a new .dmg.
Running codesign gave an "app is already signed" message. Then running codesign -dv said "code object is not signed at all"
Older solutions said to use -f to force signing, but that is no longer an option.
Greetings! I've notarized my app but it spends always over 1 hour.
I think it's because the app size is about 30GB, but is there any way to reduce it?

Hey, when I try to launch my app it prompts me with a "Apple could not verify" popup. The thing is the app has been signed and stapled.
xcrun stapler validate .app for my app returns "The validate action worked!"
If I also run syspolicy_check distribution .app it returns: "App passed all pre-distribution checks and is ready for distribution"
Any idea?
Hi everyone,
We're experiencing a critical and persistent code signing failure (HTTP 403) after accepting the latest Apple Developer Agreement, blocking our application release.
Problem: Despite confirming the new Apple Developer Agreement is signed and active on the portal, code signing attempts return an HTTP 403 error, stating a "required agreement is missing or has expired."
Steps Taken:
Accepted new Apple Developer Agreement.
Verified active developer membership and valid certificates (good for years).
Cleared caches, restarted systems.
Confirmed Team ID, Apple ID, and provisioning profile validity.
Any help is greatly appreciated, its been stuck for more than 2 days now.

Hi Apple DTS & community folks,
I’m reaching out regarding an issue we’ve encountered with the com.apple.developer.mail-client capability for our app (bundle identifier: so.notion.Mail).
We were granted this entitlement last week to allow the app to be set as a default Mail client. While everything works as expected when archiving and distributing builds locally in Xcode, we’re running into a problem when using Xcode Cloud. Specifically, Xcode Cloud attempts to archive and distribute an Ad-Hoc build, but the Ad-Hoc provisioning profile does not include this special entitlement. Since we’re using Xcode-managed profiles, we don’t have the ability to create or adjust an explicit profile ourselves.
This issue only arises in Xcode Cloud—local distribution works unless we explicitly attempt an Ad-Hoc build (which is not our intent). I’ve included a screenshot of the error for reference.
We found this forum post describing the same issue, where the resolution was Apple enabling the entitlement for Ad-Hoc builds.
We’d like to request that Apple enable this capability for Ad-Hoc builds for the Notion Mail application so that Xcode Cloud distribution functions correctly.
Thank you for your help!
Hello Apple Developer Community,
I'm experiencing a persistent issue with App Groups configuration for an iOS app extension that I can't resolve despite trying multiple approaches. I hope someone can help identify what I'm missing.
Problem Description
I'm getting this error when trying to build my iOS App Extension:
Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: com.idlrapp.Spleeft.SpleeftDataSaver" doesn't include the com.apple.developer.app-groups entitlement.
My Setup
Main App Bundle ID: com.idlrapp.Spleeft
Extension Bundle ID: com.idlrapp.Spleeft.SpleeftDataSaver
App Group ID: group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared
Extension Type: Action Extension (Share Sheet)
What I've Verified
App Group Creation
✅ Created App Group group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared in Apple Developer Portal
✅ App Group shows as "Active" in the portal
App ID Configuration
✅ Both App IDs (com.idlrapp.Spleeft and com.idlrapp.Spleeft.SpleeftDataSaver) have "App Groups" capability enabled
✅ Both App IDs are configured with the same App Group: group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared
Entitlements Files
Main App (Spleeft.entitlements):
<key>com.apple.developer.app-groups</key>
<array>
<string>group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared</string>
</array>
Extension (SpleeftDataSaver.entitlements):
<key>com.apple.developer.app-groups</key>
<array>
<string>group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared</string>
</array>
Xcode Configuration
✅ Both targets use "Automatically manage signing" ✅ Same Apple Developer Team selected for both ✅ App Groups capability shows correctly in Signing & Capabilities for both targets
The Issue
When I examine the downloaded .mobileprovision file, I can see it contains:
<dict>
<key>com.apple.security.application-groups</key>
<array>
<string>group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared</string>
</array>
<!-- Other entitlements... -->
</dict>
However, Xcode expects to find:
<array>
<string>group.com.idlrapp.spleeft.shared</string>
</array>
What I've Tried
Multiple regenerations of provisioning profiles:
Deleted all local provisioning profiles
Toggled "Automatically manage signing" off/on
Downloaded manual profiles from Developer Portal
Verified App Group configuration:
Double-checked App Group exists and is active
Confirmed both App IDs have App Groups capability enabled
Verified App Group assignment in both App IDs
Entitlements cleanup:
Ensured consistent App Group IDs across all files
Removed duplicate/conflicting entries
Clean builds and cache clearing:
Product → Clean Build Folder
Derived Data deletion
Xcode restart
Key Observation
The provisioning profile contains com.apple.security.application-groups (which appears to be macOS-style) but Xcode expects com.apple.developer.app-groups (iOS-style) for the App Extension.
Questions
Is there a known issue with App Groups entitlement generation for iOS App Extensions?
Should the provisioning profile contain com.apple.developer.app-groups instead of com.apple.security.application-groups?
Is there a way to force regeneration of provisioning profiles with the correct entitlements?
Are there additional steps required for App Extensions that differ from main apps?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. This is blocking our App Extension development and we've exhausted our troubleshooting options.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hello everyone,
I'm currently experiencing repeated "Invalid Binary" rejections when submitting my Flutter-based iOS app ("Master Tere") through App Store Connect. I've followed all the expected steps and guidelines, but the rejection contains no additional explanation beyond the "Invalid Binary" status.
Here’s my current setup:
Built using Flutter and Xcode 15.3
WebView-based app loading a professional portfolio site
Runner target is signed automatically using Xcode Managed Profiles
Certificates: Apple Development and Apple Distribution (auto-managed)
Bundle ID: com.actuain.mastertere1
Version: 1.0.0, Build: 6
Deployment target: iOS 18.0
Device family: iPhone only
All signing identities and provisioning profiles match for Debug and Release
In my Info.plist, I’ve cleaned up legacy keys that might cause conflicts:
✅ Removed <key>UIMainStoryboardFile</key> (no storyboard is used)
✅ Removed <key>CFBundleSignature</key> as it was set to ????
✅ Display name and Bundle ID align with Xcode project settings
Despite all this, every time I upload through Xcode Organizer, I get an "Invalid Binary" error after processing. No issues are shown during archive validation.
I suspect the issue may be related to:
Flutter WebView integration with latest iOS SDKs
Residual metadata in the archive from unused iOS storyboard references
Possibly missing entitlements or capabilities not flagged by Xcode
Questions:
Are there any known issues affecting Flutter WebView apps recently (especially around Xcode 15.3 or iOS 18 SDK)?
Is it mandatory to remove Main.storyboard from the project bundle even if it's not used?
Could this issue be related to background modes, UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities, or entitlements even if not directly flagged?
I’d appreciate any insights or experiences from others who’ve faced this issue recently. Thanks in advance!

I am distributing a macOS application outside the App Store using Developer ID and need to provide provisioning profiles to customers for installation during the package installation process.
I have two questions:
How can I package and provide the provisioning profile(s) so that the customer can install them easily during the application installation process? Are there any best practices or tools that could simplify this step?
In my case, there are multiple provisioning profiles. Should I instruct the customer to install each profile one by one, or is there a way to combine them and have them installed all at once?
Any insights, resources, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
