In the past I was always able to install every major macOS version on an external drive so that I can test my apps. But now I'm unable to install macOS Tahoe 26 on an external drive. Actually, as far as I'm aware, there are not even official links to macOS 26 installers, but only instructions on how to update to macOS 26 from an existing macOS installation. So I thought I'd install macOS 15 on a separate drive and then update to macOS 26, but whenever I run the macOS 15 installer, tell it to install on the external drive, and reboot after the setup process completes, my MacBook just boots into my main macOS partition as if nothing happened. 3 months ago I somehow managed to install macOS Tahoe beta 1 on an external drive, I don't remember how (but I don't think it was anything crazy); booting into that beta 1 partition and trying to update doesn't work either, as my MacBook again boots into my main macOS partition. I already asked help about the update problem one month ago here, but nobody replied. Could someone at Apple please provide instructions on how one is supposed to install macOS 26 on an external drive (if possible before it becomes available to the public)? Are we supposed to buy a separate Mac for every macOS version that we want to test our apps on?

The Apple Developer iOS app shows "ID Verification Rejected" under the Apple Developer Program status — but with no specific reason and no retry button. The app does not surface what was actually wrong with the verification. What I have already done: Confirmed my Apple Account name ("Adarsh P S") exactly matches my Passport and PAN card (no extra spaces, correct initials). Opened Developer Support case #102900128848 — the agent replied once on 2026-05-28 asking for a screenshot, which I provided the same day. No follow-up in 3+ business days. Filed a parallel case #102905434551 on 2026-06-02 explicitly referencing the first as escalation, not a duplicate. Apple ID has 2FA enabled, trusted device active, billing address on file. Questions for anyone who has gotten past this: Did the verification reset come from support, or did re-attempting from the app after some delay work on its own? For Indian developers — which ID type was finally accepted (Passport vs PAN)? I understand Aadhaar is not accepted per UIDAI restriction. Is there a specific support topic / contact path that routes to the identity-verification team faster than "Membership and Account → Program Enrolment → Email"? Hi @DTS Engineer or any other who could help me… In tvOS 27 Beta is still this annoying Shadow Glitch… 😔 I have submitted an Bug-Report countless times, but dont get an Answer… FB18719371 The Animation is not smooth and the Shadow is abruptly „jumping“… I don’t get any Response from the Apple Engineers. But this GUI Glitch makes the otherwise very high-quality tvOS GUI appear very unprofessional. Could you please help me? 🤔

Hello everyone, I am currently running the macOS Golden Gate 27 Developer Beta and am experiencing an issue with external displays. I am only able to connect one external display successfully. Any additional external displays I try to plug in do not work or are not recognized by the system. Here are the details of my setup: Mac Model: 16-inch MacBook Pro (Apple M4 Pro, 24 GB Memory) macOS Version: macOS 27 Version 27.0 Beta (Build 26A5353q) Displays: Two LG UltraFine 5K Thunderbolt displays Connection Type: Connected directly using two separate Apple Thunderbolt 4 cables Troubleshooting steps already taken: Restarted the Mac Tested different cables and ports Verified both displays work individually (only fails when both are connected) Has anyone else encountered this issue on this specific beta build? If so, have you found any temporary workarounds? Side note: Feedback Assistant was not working for me. I tried it in the Web, and the native App, neither of them would work. I am posting here because there was nowhere else to submit this bug report.

When the device leaves the range of a known Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar does not disappear, and the device fails to switch to LTE/5G, resulting in a loss of internet connectivity. Turning off Wi-Fi via Settings or Control Center does not resolve the issue either. Only restarting the device fixes the problem. Network settings and general settings have already been reset. The issue occurs on an iPhone 15 Pro and an iPhone 17 Pro. Is there a solution? Apple Support has suggested the troubleshooting steps mentioned above as well as an exchange of the iPhone 17 Pro.

Immediately after updating to macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, Google accounts stopped authenticating in Apple Mail. Internet Accounts shows Mail enabled, but the accounts do not appear in Connection Doctor or remain inactive in Mail. Removing and re-adding the accounts does not resolve it. Other users are reporting the same behavior after 15.7.8.

Hello! I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing a significant CPU drain from Spotlight (specifically corespotlightd) in macOS 11.2.2. Since updating to macOS 11.2.2 any time that I access spotlight using Command + Space Bar I immediately experience a system wide lag. Viewing this in Activity Monitor I see a %CPU spike of corespotlightd in the realm of 200-400%. that last for anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds. I have sent this in through Feedback Assistant, but no other reports seem to have been linked to the radar. I have attempted a few different fixes as well: Terminal killall corespotlightd resolves the issue momentarily, but does not fix long term Restarting computer does nothing to solve Re-indexing spotlight does not solve I have also disabled more advanced search functions (Bookmarks and History, Contacts, Events and Reminders, Fonts, Mail & Messages, Music, Siri Suggestions, and Movies are all disabled) - This did not fix the issue. I have also disabled search for external hard drives which also did not solve the issue. Open to any other suggestions for fixes, or if anyone else has a similar issue. Mac mini, 2018 (2020 release), 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4. External GPU Radeon RX 570 4 GB.

I have implemented subscription renewals in my app and now want to integrate a referral system. Each user should receive a unique referral code that they can share with others. When a new user signs up using a referral code, both the referrer and the referred user should receive a bonus. What is the best approach to implementing this feature efficiently?

After updating 13-inch iPad Pro (M4, 1TB, cellular model) to iPadOS 27 Beta 1 and later version, the automix mode in the Music app has stopped working. I have confirmed this issue is unrelated to my subscription status. I tried toggling the Song Transition option back on in Settings and switching to the Crossfade mode, but the problem persists—the Song Transition button inside the Music app remains grayed out and unavailable.

On one week old iPad Air M4 I installed iPadOS 27 public beta, and before that I installed developer beta. I tried using Final Cut Pro but every time, regardless of what I’m doing it crashes after 30-40 seconds. Can this issue be caused by beta and if so when will it get fixed?

I'm having an issue with the Shortcuts app. All I get is a blank screen before it crashes. I have force-closed the app, hard-booted my iPhone, offloaded it, and deleted and reinstalled it. I am new to iPhone. I’ve started using from 2025 Nov. I’ve multiple Gmail User Accounts. I’ve configured the same in my iPhone 17. From Day1 onwards I am facing this issue. Wherein my Gmail gets overlapped with one another (Ex X email can be viewed by Y Email a/c) vice versa . I,ve received so many patches i thought it would get fixed. But till date it’s an open bug. I am smartphone android user from jan 2000. I’ve never seen such issue

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a very frustrating issue with wireless CarPlay. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and I drive a 2023 BMW 420d Coupé equipped with iDrive 7. The audio frequently skips, lags, and drops out when streaming music. I've read some rumors that the upcoming iOS 27 update might finally address this bug. Since I know the public beta is currently out, has anyone testing the iOS 27 beta on a similar BMW setup noticed if this specific audio skipping issue is actually resolved? Hi all, aside from the fix/workaround in procreate, is anyone having issues with drawing and animation programs? Pressure issues, delays, or just not drawing at all? Double tapping the Apple Pencil also seems to be absent? And any idea when the could be fixed?

Hi everyone, my Digital Services Act (DSA) status in App Store Connect has been “In Review” for over a week. Is this normal? The app is already available in 178 countries, but it can’t be released in the EU (my home market) solely because this DSA isn’t approved yet. How long did it take for you? Is there anything that helps speed up the DSA review? Thanks for any insights.

Hello Mail Developers - Just ran into this and I have tried many options and just can't get it to work. I am trying to connect to my Gmail account which I had been doing for years, but yesterday it appeared something went off - and I was not seeing the mailbox or messages. I deleted the account from "Internet Accounts" and recreated it - but Mail does not seem to recognize it. See screenshot - Says "Enabled" but the left pane says "Inactive". Now it is doing that for all my 4 accounts in Gmail that I have. Attaching the following images: Internet Accounts - showing one of the accounts which shows the problem Mail/Settings/Accounts Tab - Showing the Enabled but Inactive issue What I have tried so far: Removing all accounts and recreating them Clearing up the following and trying to start all over again ~/Library/Mail folder ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail* Removing keychain entries under Login/Passwords Running Sequoia 15.7.8 (24G814), M1 MBAir, 16GB Latest Update (Tue, Jul 14): Applied the update from this morning 15.7.8 (24G817) and the issue still persists. I am being forced to use an alternate mail client as a result of this major error. Totally at my wit's end on this, so any pointers are really appreciated. Thanks in advance
