Cannot debug app-extension-safe frameworks in main app
The code in my app is split into frameworks that I can use both from my main app and its app extensions. In order to use the frameworks inside the app extension, I need to build them with the Xcode build setting Require Only App-Extension-Safe API set to Yes. When I do that, debugging framework code in my main app no longer works properly. I can set a breakpoint, but any attempt to print a value via p or po will give a set of errors like the following: error: module file /Users/.../Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/...-daqfgouagvlkudfebrmzrurogmld/Build/Intermediates.noindex/SwiftExplicitPrecompiledModules/_errno-B8I5WSZMM09RXHYLYEWSC1BLE.pcm cannot be loaded due to a configuration mismatch with the current compilation error: Objective-C App Extension was enabled in PCH file but is currently disabled How do I fix this?

On-demand resource exporting?
I'm a newbie to on-demand resources and I feel like I'm missing something very obvious. I've successfully tagged and set up ODR in my Xcode project, but now I want to upload the assets to my own server so I can retrieve them from within the app, and I can't figure out how to export the files I need. I'm following the ODR Guide and I'm stuck at Step #4, after I've selected my archive in the Archives window it says to "Click the Export button", but this is what I see: As shown in the screenshot, there is no export button visible. I have tried different approaches, including distributing to appstore connect, and doing a local development release. The best I've been able to do is find a .assetpack folder inside the archive package through the finder, but uploading that, or the asset.car inside it, just gives me a "cannot parse response" error from the ODR loading code. I've verified I uploaded those to the correct URL. Can anyone walk me through how to save out the file(s) I need, in a form I can just upload to my server? Thanks, Pete

Xcode build system has crashed after adding opencv to macApp
Hi, I am currently working on a MacOS App, where I need the undistortion function of opencv. But after I tried to add opencv to my project, I get following error: unexpected service error: The Xcode build system has crashed. Build again to continue. Cleaning the build folder also doesn't help. Does anyone have an idea what could be the issue? Ryan

Is SFSymbol Customization officially valid as a method for using SVG in embedded widgets (lock-screen & watchOS)?
Is SFSymbol Customization officially valid as a method for using SVG in embedded widgets (lock-screen & watchOS)? I use this in UnitedPizzaHelper but wonder whether this is the prime cause why all widgets of this app gets missing on iOS devices? This issue only happened on at least 2 device in the recent 12 months (they are all on iOS 18, and one of them is running iOS 18.5... Rebooting device won't work.), and we currently have no clue how to troubleshoot this. Update: The guy running iOS 18.5 told me that the widgets are now discoverable after waiting for minutes. Seems that this is a random issue.

MDM Nginx Proxy
I'm trying to make my own MDM server and I'm having trouble allowing nginx to proxy the connection. The web app I'm making can accept http requests so I require nginx. I'm using a certificate from letsencrypt. Every time I try to enroll a phone it instantly rejects at nginx. I have tried multiple cipher options in nginx. macOS .chm viewer
For the Linux version of my application which is written in C++ using Qt, I display the CHM format help files with this code: QString helpFile{ QCoreApplication::applicationDirPath() + "/Help/" + tr("DeepSkyStacker Help.chm","IDS_HELPFILE") }; QString program{ "kchmviewer" }; QStringList arguments{ "-token", "com.github.deepskystacker", helpFile }; helpProcess->startDetached(program, arguments); (helpProcess is a pointer to a QProcess object) The -token com.github.deepskystackerpart of that ensures that only a single instance of the viewer is used for any code that uses that invocation. Are there any chm file viewers for macOS that are capable of that sort of trick? The ones I've found on the App Store give minimal information and appear to be very simple minded tools that are not not intended for integration into an application as above. I know that MacPorts offers ports of kchmviewer but I'd prefer not to use either that or HomeBrew ... David

Does Xcode still support capturing GPU workload for OpenGLES game app on iOS?
As far as I know, there was a time that you can capture GPU workload for opengles game app on iOS using Xcode. However, currently I'm using Xcode version 15.2 and iOS18,it seems the "capture GPU workload" button is always disabled when I'm trying to debug my game app which is using opengles api for graphics rendering no matter switchinng "GPU Frame Capture" to "OpenGL ES" or "Metal" or "Automatically" in the scheme. And I'm not able to capture GPU workload for my game on iOS. The only way to make the "capture GPU workload" button enabled is creating a new project using metal api for graphics rendering. But I don't want to change the graphics API, because it will cause a lot. Does Xcode still support capturing GPU workload for OpenGLES game app on iOS? If not, is there an alternative way?

iOS 18.5 crash with iPad 7 only
Weirdness going on here. Our app is crashing on startup with iPad 7s running iOS 18.5. Before updating to iOS 18.5, it was working fine on iPad 7s. Even with iOS 18.5, it is working fine on every device we have tried including dozens of other iPads and iPhones. We have narrowed it down to the SquareReaderSDK. If we remove that SDK, it will launch and work without issues. But, many of our users need the SquareReaderSDK. The crash happens at app load, before appDelegate didFinishLaunchingWithOptions. So we can't figure out any way to debug the issue. Is anyone else having a similar issue? Square thinks it is an Apple issue.

Privacy - Siri Usage Description being reset to default text "Describe why your app needs Siri access" on generating archive
I have an iOS app and that has CarPlay enabled. I have Siri capability and the feature has been tested in Car. The voice commands are working perfectly fine. However, I am facing a weird issue as described below, The key NSSiriUsageDescription, is set to custom text in info.plist. After generating archive, I exported and checked the package contents, in which the the key NSSiriUsageDescription was reset to default text(Describe why your app needs Siri access) in the info.plist. I do not have any dynamic build process that's writing to the info.plist. Only the Siri key is being reset, rest of keys like camera/location permissions are intact. Kindly suggest what needs to be done at my end

Enrollment not processing
I already enrolled and paid for the developer program but on the main developer page it still says "Join the Apple Developer Program" with a button to "Enroll Today" but when I click on it, it redirects me to a page that says "Sorry, you can’t enroll at this time. Your Apple Account is already associated with the Account Holder of a membership." I tried to speak to apple support about it at least a dozen times and they give me no reasonings or anything as to what the issue is and why I'm not able to get past this error. Every time I ask them for any update or an estimate on when I will even get an update, they just say they can't provide any information.

But in Xcode, we are getting errors while building an archive for our app. `chmod: /Users/MacName/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-gfqpbnsrmtehefgrsrsapwpcyrzk/Build/Intermediates.noindex/ArchiveIntermediates/Unity-iPhone/IntermediateBuildFilesPath/Unity-iPhone.build/Release-iphoneos/artifacts/arm64/buildstate/Il2CppOutputProject/IL2CPP/build/deploy_arm64/il2cpp: No such file or directory chmod: /Users/MacName/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-gfqpbnsrmtehefgrsrsapwpcyrzk/Build/Intermediates.noindex/ArchiveIntermediates/Unity-iPhone/IntermediateBuildFilesPath/Unity-iPhone.build/Release-iphoneos/artifacts/arm64/buildstate/Il2CppOutputProject/IL2CPP/build/deploy_arm64/il2cpp-compile: No such file or directory chmod: /Users/MacName/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-gfqpbnsrmtehefgrsrsapwpcyrzk/Build/Intermediates.noindex/ArchiveIntermediates/Unity-iPhone/IntermediateBuildFilesPath/Unity-iPhone.build/Release-iphoneos/artifacts/arm64/buildstate/Il2CppOutputProject/IL2CPP/build/deploy_arm64/bee_backend/mac-arm64/bee_backend: No such file or directory /Users/MacName/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-gfqpbnsrmtehefgrsrsapwpcyrzk/Build/Intermediates.noindex/ArchiveIntermediates/Unity-iPhone/IntermediateBuildFilesPath/Unity-iPhone.build/Release-iphoneos/GameAssembly.build/Script-C62A2A42F32E085EF849CF0B.sh: line 27: /Users/MacName/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-gfqpbnsrmtehefgrsrsapwpcyrzk/Build/Intermediates.noindex/ArchiveIntermediates/Unity-iPhone/IntermediateBuildFilesPath/Unity-iPhone.build/Release-iphoneos/artifacts/arm64/buildstate/Il2CppOutputProject/IL2CPP/build/deploy_arm64/il2cpp: No such file or directory Command PhaseScriptExecution failed with a nonzero exit code Please help anyone to resolve this issue. iOS 18.5 crash with iPad 7 only
Weirdness going on here.

Can't Enroll in Developer Program from Bangladesh
I'm a developer from Bangladesh and want to join the Apple Developer Program. I created my Apple ID with the US region, but I can’t provide valid US billing info. How can I pay using my Bangladeshi card and billing address to enroll in the program?

How to install beta2 simulators?
New betas of the platforms were released today (June 23), but I don't see any update for Xcode. Is there a way to get the Xcode 26 beta 1 to install the beta2 OSes for the simulator somehow? Or do we simply need to wait for an update?
