`previousOriginalTransactionId` missing from both `JWSTransactionDecodedPayload` and raw JWS payload (Java App Store Server Library `5.1.1`)
Hi, I’m trying to understand the availability of previousOriginalTransactionId in App Store Server Notifications. According to Apple documentation, the field exists here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreservernotifications/previousoriginaltransactionid And the App Store Server Notifications changelog indicates it was added in March 2025: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreservernotifications/app-store-server-notifications-changelog However, I cannot find this field in practice. What I checked I’m using the Java App Store Server Library version 5.1.1 (latest on Maven Central). JWSTransactionDecodedPayload does not expose a property/getter for previousOriginalTransactionId. Example: JWSTransactionDecodedPayload payload = verifier.verifyAndDecodeTransaction(signedTransaction); There does not appear to be something like: payload.getPreviousOriginalTransactionId() I initially assumed this was an SDK lag issue, so I decoded the raw JWS payload JSON manually. However, I also do not s

A “Mac (Designed for iPad)” build takes you down the iOS apps on Mac path, which is definitely not Mac Catalyst. Sorry about the confusion. iOS apps on Mac should follow iOS conventions, so: There’s no hardened runtime or App Sandbox, so no need for com.apple.security.device.audio-input or com.apple.security.device.microphone. You do still need NSMicrophoneUsageDescription. With that in mind, I sat down to try this out. Here’s what I did: Using Xcode 26.4 on macOS 26.4.1, I created a new test project. I wired up two buttons to some basic recording code (see below). In the Info tab of the target settings, I added a NSMicrophoneUsageDescription property. I ran the app on my iPhone. I tapped the Start button. iOS presented the microphone permission prompt. I tapped Allow. I spoke some words. I tapped the Sto

IOServiceOpen returns kIOReturnError (0xE00002BC) before NewUserClient — DEXT matches and opens pipes successfully
I'm hitting a kernel-side rejection on IOServiceOpen from a host app against my DEXT's IOUserService, before any code in my DEXT's NewUserClient runs. DEXT activation and USB matching succeed; only the user-client connection fails. What works DEXT activates and shows as [activated enabled] in systemextensionsctl list. DEXT matches IOUSBHostInterface for the target device and Start() runs to completion. Inside Start(), CopyInterface() returns successfully and CopyPipe() for the expected endpoints all succeed. Host app receives the matching notification for the DEXT's IOUserService and calls IOServiceOpen(service, mach_task_self(), 0, &connect). What fails IOServiceOpen returns kIOReturnError (0xE00002BC). My DEXT's NewUserClient override is never reached — verified by the absence of any breadcrumb log and by stepping through under lldb (no entry on the DEXT side). This reproduces both with: The original com.apple.developer.driverkit.userclient-access entitlement listing the host bundle ID. The dev fallback

input type="number" not mapped to spinbutton role
input[type=number] mapped to AXTextField instead of AXIncrementor/UIAccessibilityTraitAdjustable in Safari (macOS and iOS). According to ML-AAM 1.0, is required to map to the ARIA spinbutton role, but it is not being mapped as expected on WebKit (macOS and iOS) to the platform accessibility APIs: the element is reported as AXTextField on macOS and lacks UIAccessibilityTraitAdjustable on iOS. As a consequence, VoiceOver announces the element as a textfield rather than a spinbutton, does not increment with arrow keys on macOS, and does not respond to the swipe up/down gesture on iOS. This affects every on the web (quantity steppers, age inputs, year pickers, etc). Authors are currently forced to work around it by reimplementing the spinbutton with role=spinbutton, which force the authors to emulate the native HTML solutions with JavaScript, contradicts the First Rule of ARIA Use and presents another interaction issues in WebKit (will create an issue about this and update this post later). Reply to Mac (Designed for iPad) cannot access microphone
I have both com.apple.security.device.audio-input and com.apple.security.device.microphone present in entitlements already, and I have NSMicrophoneUsageDescription in info.plist as well. My app does not appear in Privacy & Security -> Microphone settings to grant permission for microphone use though. And again, this is Mac (Designed for iPad) build which is only going to work on Apple Silicon Macs. My laptop is such a device. I can run the app out of Xcode. The Sandbox settings do not appear when I select Mac (Designed for iPad) instead of Mac Catalyst or just Mac builds.

Production StoreKit silently omits one approved auto-renewable subscription product — sandbox returns it correctly, sudden onset 2026-05-09
Hi all, Reporting an active production issue in case anyone else is seeing the same pattern, or has insight into what could cause this. Symptom As of 2026-05-09 morning, one specific auto-renewable subscription product is silently absent from Production StoreKit responses on our live App Store build. The product is still 'Approved' in App Store Connect, all metadata is intact, no error code is returned — the product simply does not appear in the products array. The other 3 products in the same subscription group continue to work normally. 100% of production users are affected. Setup App: live on App Store, version 1.0.0 (build 8) Subscription group with 4 auto-renewable products: standard_monthly_799 ✅ returns correctly standard_annual_6999 ✅ returns correctly unlimited_monthly_1299 ❌ MISSING from production response unlimited_annual_9999 ✅ returns correctly SDK: purchases_flutter (RevenueCat) → StoreKit Same physical device, same code, same RC config behaves correctly in Sandbox — all 4 products are

The entitlement let’s you write non-quarantined executables to a path that the user selects using the save dialog. You could probably make that work for your use case, but it’s hardly ideal. Keep in mind that this entitlement is unrestricted [1], meaning that you can play with it without any special approval from Apple. So, if you’d like to explore this option you can do so via a quick prototype. Reply to App Store Server Notifications behavior when subscription is removed from sale (Cleared for Sale) — sandbox not replicable
Hi, Yes, this scenario is not supported in sandbox. Please see below responses: Server notification at the moment of Cleared for Sale being unchecked No notification is sent. Notification sequence from product removal through final expiration This is correct: (3) At next renewal attempt → EXPIRED with subtype PRODUCT_NOT_FOR_SALE Whether DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS is sent before EXPIRED Is a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification sent to our server at the moment of removal from sale, before the EXPIRED notification at the renewal date? No Recommended server-side handling per notification For each notification in the sequence above, what is the recommended server-side action? Yes for both: On EXPIRED with subtype PRODUCT_NOT_FOR_SALE → revoke entitlement immediately. Age Verification testing using Sandbox Account
Hi Team, We are facing issue in testing the Age verification using Sandbox Account for your test environment. We tried to create region-specific sandbox test accounts as mentioned in the link (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/testing-age-assurance-in-sandbox) but we dont see an option to select Date of Birth and App Store Territory. After navigating to sandbox apple account setting and we tried to login with created sandbox test accounts(with gmail.com / qa.com/ test.com), its asking for two factor authentication. To overcome point 2, we created a gmail account and same is created as Sandbox test account, so that we can overcome two factor authentication. Now when we try to click on manage, nothing is happening. As per the link, it should show and option for select Age Assurance or Revoke App Consent. So if you can guide me with exact steps to follo
