Reply to My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
Also facing the same issue, App got a 4.3spam, it's an update to an existing live App. I hope we as Indi developers can have better support and concrete solution regarding this dreaded 4.3 app killer. I have read in some threads that even a container app gets rejected. hours/days/months/dollar spent all down the drain with this 4.3.

Reply to App rejected as spam
Read the guidelines. Spam may be because your app falls into an overcrowded category without enough innovative features. Dating apps are just such a category. 4.3 Spam (b) Also avoid piling on to a category that is already saturated; the App Store has enough fart, burp, flashlight, fortune telling, dating, drinking games, and Kama Sutra apps, etc. already. We will reject these apps unless they provide a unique, high-quality experience. Spamming the store may lead to your removal from the Apple Developer Program. So, the only thing you can do is to add comments to reviewer explaining how your app provides this unique experience.

After 20 Years in the Industry, My Innovative App Was Rejected by Apple's Ever-Changing Review Standards – A Developer's Disappointment
I have been in the industry for 20 years, previously working as an internet product manager. In 2023, due to the global economic downturn, I was laid off and found it difficult to secure a satisfactory job. To support my family, I decided to leverage my skills. I designed my own app, and with a technical background, I taught myself popular programming technologies such as uni-app (a front-end framework) and Python. I wrote 100% of the front-end and back-end code myself and used AI tools to design the visual assets of the product. In March 2024, I successfully released an application called Mia (com.jacky.her) on the App Store. Mia connects to a large language model to chat with users and provide emotional support. I noticed there were already many similar applications on the market, but most of them were just simple chat boxes. I believe that future product competition will focus on more detailed features based on large models. Therefore, I designed a character prototype, added character mechanisms, and aimed

App not approved. We are an educational game about sharks.
Our app is being rejected and i have reasons to believe it isn't properly reviewed. My app/ game has Features: Create your own Sharki Stickers with our Unique Sharki Generator, A page dedicated to Raise Awareness to help save Sharks, The core of the game is to be educational Also one part of the app is a mini game (it is flappy like on surface which i think is the main reason for rejection, but we have so much more than that, and without proper review the content of the game fails to shine.) its a game where you have to prevent the shark from falling while avoiding obstacles ,(its not a tap on the screen and it moves, you have to follow the sharks movement and prevent it to fall) and you get educational content with different shark facts and trivias by playing. Play Different types of Sharks like Mecha Shark, Astronaut Shark and more, experience different type of gameplay and mechanics as the game progress and there are alot of levels, playables, unlockables and contents that are unique , distinct and exclusi

Publish Whitelabel Apps from Client's Accounts
Hi, I want to publish White Label apps for my clients. Recently I have submitted multiple white label apps from my clients' developer accounts but I got rejection for all the app with the following reason: Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Currently the apps have only a different like Logo, name and some internal conditions. Please suggest me what should I do for this issue. I will thankful to you. Kind Regards.

What are some other actionable items I can do, so that I can get through "Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam" app update rejection?
I have an app which is in the app store since 2022. It is an app with combined features of note taking, todo list and calendar. My most recent app update is rejected with the following message. Reply to How to publish new dating app?
Hello, If you want to get approval from the Apple Store, you need to ensure that your dating app is unique and also provides a valuable environment for users. One of the reasons the app is rejected is because it failed to have a unique value proposition. You should ensure your app offers a distinct set of features or functionalities to stand out from the crowd. Other than that, here are some factors you shouldn’t overlook if you want to pass guideline 4.3: Ensure that your app actually addresses the needs of a particular/target group. Features are up to the market standards. Prioritize high-quality and visually appealing Design. Make sure to have transparency. To learn more in detail about how to submit your app to the App Store, check out this link: https://www.nimbleappgenie.com/blogs/submit-app-to-app-store/

Removed due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hi, For 10 days now we've been rejected with no answer. I am afraid Apple will never answer us... and 3 years of development down the drain. My team and our whole families are waiting but as the days go by, it is looking more and more grim for us I am afraid. Is there anything we can do? Our game had a decent rating and audience reception so far. All of our code is built by us over thousands of hours. We have alot of features that competitors do not have, this was even mentioned by several Youtubers and called out as a unique game. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Any advice would be so appreciated ! Thank you, Alex

Guideline 4.3(a) Original game misinterpreted as Spam
Hello, our game Nerd Survivors has been identified as spam. The game is based on an original IP and the only games that should share any resemblance with it are from our company. Today we got notified the rejection due to the violation of Guideline 4.3 but there is no reference to the other application or even a contact to the other developer. We do use Unity as our game engine, so some parts of the code might be shared across different games, but i cannot find any other justification of the failure. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.
