Recommended alternatives to leaf cert pinning to prevent MITM
Hey there Are there any recommendations or guidance for apps on alternatives to certificate pinning to secure their device network traffic? I want to move away from the overhead and risk associated with rotating certificates when using leaf pinning. However, I also don't want people to be able to perform a MITM attack easily using something like Charles Proxy with a self‑signed certificate added to the trust store. My understanding is that an app cannot distinguish between user‑trusted certificates and system‑trusted certificates in the trust store, so it cannot block traffic that uses user‑trusted certificates.

MetalFX FrameInterpolator assertion: `Color texture width mismatch from descriptor` even when all texture sizes match
I am integrating MetalFX FrameInterpolator into a custom Unity RenderGraph–based render pipeline (C++ native plugin + C# render passes), and I am hitting the following assertion at runtime: /MetalFXDebugError.h:29: failed assertion `Color texture width mismatch from descriptor' What makes this confusing is that all input/output textures have the correct width and height, and they exactly match the values specified in the MTLFXFrameInterpolatorDescriptor. Setup Input resolution: 1024 x 512 Output resolution: 2048 x 1024 MTLFXTemporalScaler is created first and then passed into MTLFXFrameInterpolator The TemporalScaler and FrameInterpolator descriptors use the same input/output sizes and formats All Metal textures: Have no parentTexture Are 2D textures Match the descriptor sizes exactly (verified via logging) Texture bindings at encode time frameInterpolator.colorTexture = mtlTexColor; // 1024 x 512 frameInterpolator.prevColorTexture = mtlTexPrevColor; // 1024 x 512 frameInterpolator.motionTexture = mt

State loss and sheets dismiss on backgrounding app
I've been hitting a weird SwiftUI bug with navigation and state loss and I've managed to reproduce in a very tiny sample project. I've submitted a Feedback FB21681608 but thought it was worth posting here incase any SwiftUI experts can see something obviously wrong. The bug With deeper levels of navigation hierarchy SwiftUI will dismiss views when backgrounding the app. Any work around would be appreciated. This happens in a real app where we have to navigate to a settings screen modally and then a complex flow with other sheets. Sample code Happens in the simulator and on device. import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { @State private var isPresented = false var body: some View { Button(Show first sheet) { isPresented = true } .sheet(isPresented: $isPresented) { SheetView(count: 1) } } } struct SheetView: View { private enum Path: Hashable { case somePath } @State private var isPresented = false var count: Int var body: some View { NavigationStack { VStack { Text(Sheet (count)) .font(.larg

Reply to Persisted log entries disappeared?
Each system log entry has time to live (TTL) value. You can see evidence for this in various places within the UI. For example: % sudo log stream … TTL … 0 fseventsd: (libsystem_info.dylib) Resolve user group list … … 7 WindowServer: (SkyLight) [com.apple.SkyLight:KeyboardEvent] kCGSEventKeyUp … AFAIK there’s no supported way to override that, but if you poke around in /System/Library/Preferences/Logging on your Mac it’s not hard to see how it works. WARNING As with all implementation details, there’s no guarantee that this will actually work, or that it hasn’t worked differently in the past, or will work differently in the future. So don’t build knowledge of this into a product that you ship to a wide range of users. App Store Connect rejects screenshot upload: “incorrect size” (subscription purchase flow) — tried all documented sizes
Hello Apple Developer Forums, I’m preparing to submit an app update that includes an in-app subscription. As part of the submission, I need to provide screenshots showing where the user initiates and completes the subscription purchase flow. The issue is that App Store Connect keeps rejecting my screenshot upload with an “incorrect size” (or size invalid) error. I have already tried exporting the screenshot in all sizes and resolutions described in Apple’s documentation, but none of them are being accepted so far. Could you please advise: What exact pixel dimensions / format requirements App Store Connect currently enforces for these screenshots (including file type and color profile, if relevant)? Whether there are any known issues or common causes for this error (e.g., metadata, alpha channel, scaling, or export settings)? Any recommended workflow/tools to generate a compliant screenshot that reliably uploads? Thank you in advance for your help.

Reply to No "Declared Age Range" from Capability
there is no such thing
Are you a member of a paid developer team? Do you have that team selected in Signing & Capabilities? If you’re using a Personal Team — that is, using any Apple Account for local development without signing up to paid team — then you won’t be able to use this capability. Developer Account Help > Reference > Supported capabilities (iOS) explains the background to this, although it hasn’t yet been updated to cover this specific capability (r. 168576113). You have written several different account names including new developer account personal iCloud account developer organization account new organization developer account new account . So which is it, really?

Clarifying when Game Center activity events fire relative to authentication
Hello, In our game we enforce an age gate before showing Game Center sign‑in. Only after the user passes the age gate do we call GKLocalPlayer.localPlayer.authenticateHandler. The reason I’m asking is that we want to reliably detect if the game was launched from a Game Center activity in the Games app (iOS 26+). If the user prefers to enter via activities, we don’t want to miss that event during cold start. Our current proposal is: Register a GKLocalPlayerListener early in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions: so the app is ready to catch events. Queue any incoming events in our dispatcher. Only process those events after the user passes the age gate and authentication succeeds. My questions are: Does player:wantsToPlayGameActivity:completionHandler: ever fire before authentication, or only after the local player is authenticated? If it only fires after authentication, is our “register early but gate processing” approach the correct way to ensure we don’t miss activity launches? Is there any recomm

Reply to Pending Termination Notice and App Removed from Store
The following states what they say you have done. App submissions from your account have engaged in concept or feature switch schemes to evade the review process, such as dynamically populating different app content after review, submitting apps with hidden features, repeatedly submitting misleading apps, and/or submitting apps with concrete references to content that you are not authorized to provide or is otherwise not appropriate for the App Store.

Analytics tab show old icon, even though it was changed long time ago
We have changed app icon a while ago, it displayed correctly on distribution page and on other pages - with an exception of analytics - https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/analytics No matter what time range is selected it still displays old icon. Can I make something with it? It's been more then a year and it's definitely not a cache issue.

using com.apple.CommCenter.fine-grained entitlement in app clip
Hi, I am using a carrier account and have been able to use com.apple.CommCenter.fine-grained entitlement successfully for the past few years. Currently I am trying to use this entitlement in an app clip. but recieving the following error: Validation failed (409) Invalid entitlement. App clip 'xyz.app/AppClips/appClip.app' contains a code signing entitlement 'com.apple.coretelephony.SimAuthentication.allow' that is not supported. Remove the 'com.apple.coretelephony.SimAuthentication.allow' entitlement. (ID: 87f67652-0e22-441d-b7ec-ea4baacab39e) NSUnderlyingError : Validation failed (-19241) Invalid entitlement. App clip 'xyz.app/AppClips/appClip.app' contains a code signing entitlement 'com.apple.coretelephony.SimAuthentication.allow' that is not supported. Remove the 'com.apple.coretelephony.SimAuthentication.allow' entitlement. status : 409 Is it possible to use com.apple.CommCenter.fine-grained entitlement in an app clip? if so do you have any suggestion

HLS (m3u8) time segments not cached for loop
Our use case requires short looping videos on the app’s front screen. These videos include subtitles for accessibility, so they are delivered as HLS (m3u8) rather than MP4, allowing subtitles to be natively rendered instead of burned into the video. Since moving from MP4 to HLS, we’ve observed that video time segments (.ts / .m4s) are not fully cached between loops. When the video reaches the end and restarts, the same time segments are re-requested from the network instead of being served from cache. This behavior occurs even though: The playlist and segments are identical between loops The content is short and fully downloaded during the first playback No explicit cache-busting headers are present We have investigated available caching options in AVFoundation but have not found a way to persistently cache HLS segments for looping playback without implementing a full offline download using AVAssetDownloadURLSession, which feels disproportionate for this use case.
