Guideline 1.2 Compliance Notice — Build Awaiting Review, 14-Day Deadline Approaching
Hello, I received a Guideline 1.2 compliance notice for my app OMG: Video Chat (Apple ID: 6756574665) on March 7, 2026, with a 14-day deadline to submit a compliant update. The issues raised in the notice — random matching and anonymous chat — were already resolved in the current live version of the app prior to receiving the notice. Specifically: Random matching has been completely removed. Users browse profiles and choose who to connect with. All calls require mutual consent via Accept/Decline. Sign in with Apple is mandatory — no anonymous or guest access exists. Selfie-based age verification is active. Full moderation system is in place: content filtering, user reporting, blocking, and 24/7 monitoring. I responded to the notice on March 7 with a detailed explanation, screen recording, and screenshots demonstrating the current app flow. I also submitted a compliant build and requested an expedited review. As of today (March 12), I have received no acknowledgment, no feedback, and the build

Reply to DriverKit entitlement policy clarification for development purposes
A few brief clarifications and comments: I am seeking clarification on whether the various driverkit entitlement families (com.apple.developer.driverkit.family.*) are available for development on my local Mac without requesting entitlements from Apple. Making the more explicit, they Development Only entitlement variants do two things: They match against a VERY broad hardware configuration, basically letting you match any hardware. Note that the second criteria heavily restricts distribution, as development builds will ONLY run on machines which were registered with your developer account at the point the signing profile was generated. This is largely invisible when using automatic signing (Xcode will just generate a new profile), but can be easy to overlook with manual signing. At WWDC2022 Apple stated that In MacOS... Significantly Delayed App Review
Hi all, Like others my app submission has been stuck in “waiting for review” for weeks. I know initial app reviews take longer than updates, but this has been delayed far too long and makes me concerned about repeating the process in the future. I submitted this app for review back on Feb 10. It was initially rejected for a minor issue, which I resolved and resubmitted the same day. After that, the build remained in “Waiting for Review” for about two weeks with no further communication. At that point I canceled the submission and resubmitted the build, thinking it may have been stuck in the queue (I now know not to do this next time). Unfortunately the new submission has also been waiting for review for another 9 days now with no messages or updates. I’ve contacted app review support as well (case ID- 102826632729). I understand review times can vary, but delays like this make it difficult for developers to plan launches or push updates when the review process is the only path to distributin

Reply to Waiting for Review: TestFlight 25+ days, Production 10 days, no communication.
Similar situation. First time app, macOS and iOS versions, no login, no account, no server - just plain SwiftData, CloudKit, and one in-app purchase to unlock lifetime access. TestFlight: macOS build: submitted Feb 09, 2026 -> approved Feb 11, 2026 iOS build: submitted Feb 09, 2026 -> waiting -> re-submitted by incrementing build number Feb 18, 2026 -> still waiting, status on Mar 12, 2026: 'Waiting for Review' In-app purchase: didn't require submission I got enough feedback from my macOS beta testing that I decided to go ahead with the final app approval submission. Production: macOS build: submitted Mar 06, 2026 -> approved Mar 09, 2026 iOS build: submitted Mar 06, 2026 -> still waiting, status on Mar 12, 2026: 'Waiting for Review' In-app purchase: status on Mar 12, 2026: 'In Review' Without the IAP approval, it doesn't even make sense to announce my macOS release to my network because the app will just lock up after 14 days if they're unable to

Data Disappeared
Hi, writing a database app for storing equipment details. Spent the day doing minor changes and tidying with many backups made, and always re-building to check its all working. Everything ok but then next build looses all data, what's the best thing to check to see if the data is still there, any help would be fantastic.

Reply to App group broken on Sequoia
Right. I've done a clean build (with only the one, new app group), the entitlements file is correct, and it runs with the correct entitlements on both my dev machine and a Ventura one. Curiously, though, the entitlements validated flag is still not showing as set. I'm waiting to hear back on the results from the Sequoia machine, but I expect that means it's still going to fail. So in the meantime -- could this be an issue with notarization rather than signing? I've just discovered that because we're distributing the app in-house rather than through the App Store, the installer package for these internal releases hasn't been going through notarytool. Is that a deal-breaker under the newer OS versions?

Family Controls Request Form
Hi everyone, I recently submitted the Family Controls request form and received the following request IDs: 429MKWT5VX
 KNL6T2DC7A
N62KV78DKC However, I haven’t received any updates yet and I’m not sure how these requests are tracked or when we’ll know if they’re approved. Our app is almost ready to launch and this capability is critical for us. Both the main app and an extension depend on Family Controls, so we’re currently blocked from moving forward. I also raised a support ticket with Apple Developer Support (Case ID: 102838723073), but I haven’t received any response there either. To be honest, this is becoming really stressful. Months of work are stuck at the final step and we’re unable to move forward without this approval. This isn’t just a small personal project and we’re building a production app and were hoping to launch very soon. If anyone has been through this process or has any guidance on the approval timeline, or if someone from Apple could help look into these request IDs, it would

Build stuck in “Waiting for Review” for weeks (resubmission also waiting) - anyone seeing this recently?
Hello everyone, I want to check whether other developers are seeing similar App Review delays recently. Timeline: Feb 3, 2026: Submitted initial build Feb 3 - Mar 7, 2026: Stayed in Waiting for Review (never entered active review) Mar 7, 2026: Cancelled and resubmitted a new build As of now: New build is still in Waiting for Review I contacted Developer Support; they said system status appears normal and advised me to continue waiting. I’m not asking for expedited approval here. I just want to understand: Are others seeing the same pattern in this period? Is this likely a broader queue slowdown rather than a submission-specific issue? Any recent data points are appreciated. Thanks.

removing the script didn't fix for me. the script had been holding it together till now, but something changed recently. Ok — since this sounds like a recent change, it would be helpful for us to get a bug report from you so we can look into this further. It would be helpful if you could detail the exact configuration you've set for this build environment (macOS version and Xcode versions), and a link to a specific build. Once that's filed, please post the FB number here so I can locate your report. — Ed Ford,  DTS Engineer

Reply to New project with new AppIntent throws build error
To see what happened here, I used Xcode 26.4 beta 3 to create a new multi-platform app. I added a new file, added an import statement for App Intents, and then copied in the snippet of getting started code from the documentation. Indeed, this fails to compile. That new project's default build setting configuration is: Swift Langage Version: Swift 5 Approachable Concurrency: Yes Default Actor Isolation: MainActor To allow this to compile, I change the Default Actor Isolation build setting to nonisolated instead. This is worth a bug report — please use Feedback Assistant to report it, and post the FB number here so I can follow up on it. — Ed Ford,  DTS Engineer

Reply to Live Activity doesn't open watchOS app
I struggled for some time as well. Just follow what they explain in their video from WWDC 2024 Bring your Live Activity to Apple Watch. There they explain that you need a key: WKSupportsLiveActivityLaunchAttributeTypes as written above. But setting it in the Info.plist is not enough for my project. It only works if you: go to your watch target -> build settings. Select all. Under Info.plist Values you will find the key: Supports Launch for Live Activity Attribute Types. To add an empty value there did not work for me. So, as in the video, I added my Attributes in my case called NameofmyappAttributes. Having this set, now tapping on the LA on the watch starts the watch app. Took me many hours to figure that out.
