Why are Family Controls API requests taking this long?
Hello, I’m honestly trying to understand what’s going on with the Family Controls API review process. I submitted my entitlement request on March 5, and as of today (March 19), there has been zero response. I also opened a support ticket on March 16, and that hasn’t received any response either. What’s confusing is that updates to another app on the same developer account were approved within days so clearly the account is in good standing and active. At this point, it feels like there’s no visibility into what’s happening: Is the request under review? Is it waiting for additional information? Or is it just sitting in a queue indefinitely? I understand that Family Controls is a sensitive API, but a two-week silence with no status or communication makes it very difficult to plan or ship features. For those who’ve gone through this: How long did your approval actually take? Did you receive any communication during the process? Is there any reliable way to get visibility or sp

Thank you for your post. I see that you have already submitted those files for the issue and appreciate your efforts. The team is currently experiencing high workloads and only communicates when a fix is released due to company policies. I can assure you that this issue is on the team’s priority list. It has been marked as an existing bug and will be addressed as soon as a fix is available. Once the fix is released, the team will notify you via Feedback Assistant to test the new release. I understand that the process can sometimes be slow, and this bug may have been present for a longer period than anticipated. Albert Pascual

Thanks for that, always hard to read XML as Xcode presents that pretty good. It looks completely clean and the com.apple.developer.associated-domains only contain keys that are allowed https://developer.apple.com/documentation/BundleResources/Entitlements/com.apple.developer.associated-domains Will be good to go over that: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/entitlements/com.apple.developer.associated-appclip-app-identifiers So the string should start with applinks: and the section for app domains should only contain the app clips: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/supporting-associated-domains. I'm going to post a way for us to connect and go over your project to review the project. Probably we will need to go over Xcode. I'd like you to submit a code-level support request so we can discuss this further privately. When you create the request, indicate that you were referred by me at Apple and make sure to include a link to this thread. Albert Pascual

GST Tax Form Question
I am in the end stages of creating my app and apple is saying I need to include Business number and GST (RT) number - I'm Canadian and not sure how this applies to developers in other countries. Just wondering if any developers from Canada can shed light on this process of getting a GST number, the CRA is saying you can create a GST account/number once your business reaches $30,000 is revenue so its seems different than what Apple is saying to do. This is my first time creating an app and I'm a solo developer.

Reply to iOS App Stuck in 'Waiting for Review' for Over 7 Business Days — Expedited Review Submitted, No Progress
@App Review Following up on your response from 2 days ago. Our app (Apple ID: 1505684382) has now been in Waiting for Review for 16 days — submitted March 4th. Despite your message that you would contact us via App Store Connect, we have received no communication there. To summarize what we have tried: 2x Expedited Review requests — no response 2x Support cases via Contact Us — no response This forum post — your team replied but no follow-through yet We have exhausted every available channel. Our app includes a time-sensitive subscription pricing test, and every day of delay is causing measurable revenue loss. We respectfully ask for a concrete answer: What is preventing our app from entering review, and when will it be reviewed? Thank you.

The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.
Hello, I have an internal TestFlight build for my app PewPewApp (Apple ID 6760741808). The build is processed, assigned to an internal group, and the tester invitation is accepted. The build status shows Ready to Test / Testing in App Store Connect. However, installation from TestFlight fails with: “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.” Could you please check whether there is an account-level or backend TestFlight distribution issue affecting this app/build? Thank you.

External website handling and ATT
Our proposed solution to identify an app user when opening a website operated by app developer is: Apps sends a request to backed with app users auth header Backend fetches a generated authenticated url from website backend, based on users auth header App opens it in browser The browser journey is self contained within domain of the business. Would this interaction require an ATT request given that the users identity cannot be tracked back to the app user ? Thanks

26.4 beta and RC versions are unable to be created on anything but 26.4 beta host OS
We're trying to create 26.4 beta and RC VMs on 15.x and 26.3 host OS' without success. We see Tue Mar 17 17:27:36 40 anka.log (install) 45803: failed to install macOS: Error Domain=VZErrorDomain Code=10006 Installation requires a software update. UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailure=A software update is required to complete the installation., NSLocalizedFailureReason=Installation requires a software update.} Yet, if we create it the same way on 26.4 beta host OS, it works. We've tried the usual tricks of installing latest Xcode and preparing it (accepting license, etc). But, they don't work on 26.3 and 15.x. What's the trick to get the creation of 26.4 to work on <= 26.3 host OS?

Thanks for providing that extra context. There are two ways that Apple can grant you access to managed entitlements, via an old process or a new process. I explain those processes in detail in Using the Multicast Networking Additional Capability (this is for a different entitlement, but you should recognise the processes). It seems that your teams are configured with a mix of the old and the new. For example, WEJZZZZZZZ is using the old process whereas NWKYYYYYYY is using the new process. I don’t have any insight into the old process setup, but I can see the setup for new process stuff and I’ve confirmed that NWKYYYYYYY is set up correctly. However, to use it you have to use the new process, rather than the old process. To learn more about this, read Account > Reference > Provisioning with capabilities. At the bottom of that page is a Migrating additional entitlements to capabilities section. This explains how you

Apple Business Account Verification Stuck, No Response After Multiple Submissions
Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to set up a business account on the Apple Developer Console, and I’ve run into a really frustrating issue. Last month, I was asked to submit additional documents for verification. I submitted everything as requested and received a confirmation email: “Thank you for providing the documents we requested. We will review them and follow up with you within two business days.” However, weeks passed with no update. About 1–2 weeks ago, I reached out to support again. I was asked to re-submit the same documents, which I did. Once again, I received the same confirmation email stating a response would come within two business days. It’s now been 7 days since that second submission, and still no response. At this point, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong or if this is just a delay on Apple’s side. What’s more confusing is that we’ve successfully created developer accounts on other platforms (like Google Play) using the same business information and DUNS number, with ver

Reply to Please, Apple. I am begging you. Fix the broken Text-To-Speech in macOS
Albert Pascual -- I am unable to send a code-level support request because I no longer have a paid developer account. Without going into grim detail, since I could no longer type very well after the accident, I had to leave my career as a developer. It sucked. I had been doing backend development back when there was a Mac OS X Server and an ADC membership was $500 a year. But being disabled as I am gave me a lot more appreciation for accessibility in macOS. Having these things working is important to my quality of life. Last night I installed 26.4 RC and there are multiple new issues. At this point I'm going to have to reset to 26.0 because too much of what I rely on either doesn't work or has become too irritating. A few examples: the orange dot in the upper right corner somehow became more distracting as it is now an orange square with a black border. Still just as useless but now extra annoying. Now when I say Hey Siri and my computer is locked, Siri responds with You will need to unlock
