I need help for Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Hi, I recently submitted an app to the App Store, but it was rejected for the following reason: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage Issue Description The app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account based. Specifically, the app requires users to register before browsing products. Registration can only be required for account-based features like adding to cart or checking out. Next Steps Revise the app to let users freely access the app's features that are not account based. The app may still require registration for other features that are account based. Resources Learn more about requirements for apps with account-based content and features in guideline 5.1.1(v) - Account Sign-In. After receiving this, I updated the app to allow guest users. Now guest users can use the app freely and choose to login if they want to access their account and account features. However, I'm still receiving the same rejection for the same reason. Wh

I need help for Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Hi, I developed an app and submitted it to the App Store, but it was rejected for the following reason: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage Issue Description: The app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account-based. Specifically, the app requires users to sign up before accessing the app. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. Resources: You can learn more about the requirements for apps with account-based content and features in guideline 5.1.1(v) - Account Sign-In. After receiving this, I updated my app and added a Continue as Guest button on the login screen. With this button, users can navigate the app without signing up. Only commenting, up

Reply to Xcode 6.4 vs 7.0 App Submission
As an example, Xcode 6.4 can't support iOS 9.x, so logically, that means you'd need to accept a lower iOS when using it to build for the store. There were several different SDKs used from Xcode 5.1.1 up to now, so the version of Xcode you use will mandate which SDK and which iOS version(s) you can expect to support. As for Xcode 5.1.1, it's common knowledge that when submitting an app to the store, you can expect to see a dialog alerting to which version Xcode is currently allowed as minimum. At this time, that dialog warns the dev to use Xcode 5.1.1 or higher.

Guideline 5.1.1 -> Soft Deletion & Deferred Processes
Hello Apple Devs We've been trying for a couple of weeks to get a clear answer on the following two questions related to the 5.1.1 Guideline indicating Account Deletion must now be possible to initiate from within the App, in case we allow for Account Creation from the same app: Can a soft delete be considered Account Deletion”? What if all the User's data is anonymized, leaving only a UserID for referential integrity? In the case of Authentication and User information delegated to a 3rd-party system (see above), could it suffice for us to delete the UUID linking the User to their original ERP/SSO account? Is it valid if we just initiate the deletion process (async confirmation)? Would it be valid for us to initiate the process by requesting the user for their contact information, then explaining that we will process the request through the Customer Support team, and get back to them with a confirmation (e.g. via email) within a given period of time? Thanks in advance for your help! Carlos

5.1.1 Account Deletion Requirement
Regarding, all apps that allow for account creation must also allow users to initiate deletion of their account from within the app. If the app has a Create Account link that opens in Safari where the account is created (i.e. outside the app), is the app still considered to allow for account creation and therefore required to allow for account deletion per the new requirement being enforced?

COVID-19 Apps and the App Store policy is unclear 5.1.1
I have questions around this policy why are all the apps in the App Store related to COVID-19 not allowed in the store? Also what is defined as governmental entity, hospital, insurance company, non-governmental organization, or university. These are not defined Also user information in highly-regulated fields, such as healthcare, should be submitted by a legal entity that provides these services, and not by an individual developer. I'm reaching out to see if other App developers experienced the same situation or how anyone for that matter can publish anything on the COVID-19 to assist users? Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We found in our review that your app provides services or requires sensitive user information related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the COVID-19 pandemic is a public health crisis, services and information related to it are considered to be part of the healthcare industry. In addition, the seller and company names associated with your app are not

App Rejected: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Our App is rejected with the below message. We got rejected multiple times for this guideline and not sure how to handle this. We used to ask for their target weight/current weight but we got rid of that because we thought weight may be considered sensitive data. Now we only store the number of hours worked out and the numbers are manually inputted by users. Does Apple require any fitness-related app to be published under an organization? Is there anything we can do to publish this app under individual developers? Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We found in our review that your app does not meet all of our requirements for apps that offer highly regulated services or handle sensitive user data. Specifically: The account that submits the app must be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an organization, and not as an individual. The guideline 5.1.1(ix) requirements give App Store users confidence that apps operating in highly regulated fields or that requi
