Guideline 5.1.1 (ix) requirements
While checking our application, we received the following message: We found in our review that your app does not meet all of our requirements for apps that offer highly regulated services or handle sensitive user data. Specifically: The account that submits the app must be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an organization, and not as an individual. Can we use this clause to switch our membership to an individual entrepreneur, or is only an LLC or CJSC required?

Submission Rejected, Guidelin 5.1.1
We are trying to post a local news app. We want it to be a customized version of our news website, displaying news, agenda, local shop offers etc filtered by the towns and interests the user selects. The user needs to register first so that we can create a profile with their interests and filter the content accordingly. We've tried to explain this in several different ways, but the answer is always the same: We understand that you provide customized news to your customers. However, they should still be able to access the news articles prior to registration and only prompted to register once they decide to customize their news feed. The app's specific purpose is offering customized content, and we need the users to register for that customization. If we can't offer the customized filtering, the app has no sense for us. Anyone in a similar situation or any tip on h ow to explain this to App Review? Thanks in advance!

Reply to 5.1.1(x) - How does Apple expect us to support user accounts without contact details?
Apps may request basic contact information (such as name and email address) so long as the request is optional for the user, features and services are not conditional on providing the information, ….” The way I understand it: you cannot force customer to give a contact address and need to provide the service of the app (but clause 5.1.1(v) says differently, as you noted, for Core functionalities that need ID): so the question is how do we define a core functionality and prove it requires ID ? And whether 5.1.1.(v) supersedes 5.1.1.(x) However, you could state that support like recovery of lost password for instance will not be available in such a case. As this is outside the app, I understand it is authorised. Did you contact support ?

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Hi there, I got my recent app rejected and they sent me this: We found in our review that your app does not meet all of our requirements for apps that offer highly regulated services or handle sensitive user data. Specifically: The account that submits the app must be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an organization, and not as an individual. The guideline 5.1.1(ix) requirements give App Store users confidence that apps operating in highly regulated fields or that require sensitive user information are qualified to provide these services and will responsibly manage their data. Next steps, To resolve this issue, it would be appropriate to take the >following steps: Your app must be submitted through an Apple Developer Program account enrolled as an organization. You may either enroll in a new Apple Developer Program account as an organization, or request that your individual account be converted to an organization account by contacting Apple Developer Support. Please note that you cannot

App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v): Question about account deletion.
The latest updated App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) states that: Apps supporting account creation must also offer account deletion. I would like to know: Do I need to fully delete all data on our server related to this user? Can I just provide a contact information for account deletion offline? Is it requested for user to re-create a clean account with the same user identifier? e.g. email address Is account termination is good enough for account deletion requirement? Is it required to be able to retrieve user data after account deletion? Any help is appreciated.

Rejected 5.1.1 Legal: Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
I received this notice when I submitted my app to the App Store: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account-based.Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. For example, an e-commerce app should let users browse store offerings and other features that are not account-based before being asked to register, or a restaurant app should allow users to explore the menu before placing an order. Registration must then only be required for account-specific features, such as saving items for future reference or placing an order. My app is not e-commerce and does not sell anything. We have partnered with my local university to build an app for their students. It requires a login to use the app because the user must be a student or staff member. The app is a discount app for local businesses. The

App getting rejected for Guideline 5.1.1 and am unable to understand why
Hello, My team and I are trying to publish an app (It's our first time doing this). The app allows users to purchase self-guided tours using in-app purchases. Users can browse, find tours and see a preview of a tour without registration. However we require registration for the in-app purchase as this is linked to a user account. This is because there is a possibility that someone has bought a tour on an android device and is coming here plus this is the only way that we can enable the users to recover their account if they lose their device so it seems like a logical thing to do right? We only require an email ID and password and not a lot of info for registering. We have tried to explain this multiple times but this is the response we get: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We noticed that your app requires users to register with personal information to purchase in-app purchase products that are not account based. Apps cannot require user registration prior to allowing a
