macOS 26 Tahoe beta 1 - Cannot login
A few days ago I installed beta 1 of macOS 26 Tahoe on a spare MacBook Pro 14-inch M4. Everything went well, and it looks okay (well, I don't like it at all, but hey-ho), and I shut it down. I started it up today, and it rejects my login password every time, then locks my account. When I click the link to Restart and show password reset options I'm asked for my Apple ID details, so I enter the correct email and password, then the MBP reboots and I'm back on the login screen with no indication that anything has changed. Guess I'm stuck now... FB18364657

Reply to GKLocalPlayer.authenticateHandler not called on iOS 26 when Game Center auth overlay is shown
Hello, Thank you for your reply. Here are the details we observed: • iOS 18.6.2 (current release): authenticateHandler is invoked consistently — both when the Game Center sign-in UI appears and when the user taps Cancel. • iOS 26.0 beta 1 (first available build): Regression begins here. The Game Center sign-in UI is shown automatically, but pressing Cancel does not invoke authenticateHandler. The app receives no callback. • All subsequent iOS 26 betas (beta 2, beta 3, and the latest beta): Same behavior as beta 1. The issue has been reproducible across every iOS 26 beta so far. • Xcode versions used for testing: • Xcode 16.0 beta 1 with iOS 26.0 beta 1 • Xcode 16.0 beta 2 with iOS 26.0 beta 2 • Xcode 16.0 beta [latest] with iOS 26.0 beta [latest] So the regression is present from

Reply to Battery stuck at 1% after installing iOS 26 beta 2 – device only usable when plugged in, battery capacity shows 0%
iPhone 14 pro max ios 26 betta 5 problem with 1% battery is not solved. I can't use the phone!!!! It will go on for a long time, natural mockery!!!!! Backup on ios 26, rolling back to 18.5 means losing all data. Apple, what are you doing there, are you kidding me or what???!!!! I can't even update now. I can't throw it off, what kind of nonsense are you in your mind!!!??????

iOS 11 buggiest battery ever in a first beta?
I am hoping the 2nd beta comes sooner rather than later. This first beta has many issues (yes, to be expected). One that I have never experienced before is that the battery actually drains while it is plugged in. Poor battery life is to be expected and is always an issue in betas, but for it to drop while plugged in and not even charge, is new to me. The only time it will actually charge to full is plugged into power outlet (not computer) and over night. Plugged in anywhere else, it just sits and slowly drains. Charges a little sometimes, but mainly just drains.

IOS 26
H ello there. I just installed IOS 26 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. But i think i found a Bug with a Widget where you have an overview of all devices and their battery. In IOS 18 when we used the Dark Theme (Dark Icons etc.) this widget was dark aswell (look at the picture) and now in IOs everything is dark except this widget. Its kinda annoying…

How to fix iOS 26 Beta / iOS 18 SDK compile conflicts?
A method in my app now requires the override keyword when compiling with Xcode 26 beta / iOS 26 SDK, but if I add it, the current official Xcode 16.4 (iOS 18 SDK) throws a compile error. It's about 'toggleSidebar(_:)' in UIViewController. The problem is: Apple expects our apps to be ready for iOS 26 launch this fall, so I need to be actively developing and testing in the Xcode 26 beta now. At the same time, I still need to submit updates to the App Store using the current official Xcode 16.4 until iOS 26 officially launches. I'm using a single .xcodeproj file and can't keep manually adding/removing -DIOS_SDK_26_OR_LATER in Build Settings multiple times a day. How to fix it and why isn't there a straightforward #if sdk(>=26.0) type of check for compile-time in Swift? It's really frustrating to manage this override conflict.

Battery Issues with Beta
After my phone updated to the iOS 18 Beta, my battery no longer last past 2pm. Before the Beta, my phone would still be at 40% by 11pm. It drops down as soon as I unplug it. It gets really hot with everything I do on it. Hopefully this gets fixed and my battery quits having issues. This same thing happened to my phone back with the iPhone 7. Ended having to trade it in due to battery not last past 12pm.

Reply to iOS26 UISearchbar and UISearchController cancellation issues
The “tapping the x in the search field cancels the search” issue has been in iPadOS 26 since beta 1. iPadOS 26 now emulates how Mac Catalyst apps have behaved for years. The issue doesn’t apply to iOS 26 since that shows a separate Cancel button. You can use FB17888632 as a demonstration of the issue. That is another search related issue I filed against iOS 26 beta 1 that still isn’t fixed in iPadOS 26 beta 9. It’s impacting my app and it also easily demonstrates the issue with the search getting cancelled when tapping the x icon to clear the search.

iOS 26 Beta 2 replaces iOS 18.4 Backup
After too many boot loops and inability to boot up at all from system data bloating, I decided to restore the iPhone 16 Pro Max I’m beta testing on back to iOS 18.4 for a third time. Unfortunately, I found the iOS 26 beta 2 had made a iCloud backup last night, replacing my 18.4 backup. Is this something betas are supposed to do? I’ve been beta testing for around a decade now, I’ve never seen a iOS beta make an iCloud backup. Is anyone else noticing excessive system data bloating (70-100 GB or more)? Regardless, I’m in it for the long game now 😂

10.12.3 beta 1 battery Drain MacBook Pro 2016 tb
Hi,I have a macbook pro 2016 TB, I had terrible battery drain with 10.12.1. about 6 hours max with browsing and emails, more liek 4-5 hours with more than that.with 10.12.2 beta 5 I had the same battery issue. but with 10.12.2 general release, magic, my battery life is 9-10 hours of emails and browsing. However I get video glitches on startup, just for 10-20 seconds after I loggin, and only on first morninhg loggin!!I updated to 10.12.3 beta 1 and my battery is bad again. I went back to to 10.12.2 and it is fine 10 hours. there is a problem with me for 10.12.3.The diference I see is that at idle the minimum watts I get with battery hgealth is 10W with 10.12.3 and 4-5watts with 10.12.2. there is something the uses battery on the background and that does not show in activity monitor total CPU is very low in both cases.any body sees the same problem?
