My AppleTV (4K, latest version) only passes through a PCM Stereo audio signal to my soundbar instead of a Dolby 5.1 on shows that say they are 5.1. Oddly, Dolby Atmos works fine. I've tried various settings on the AppleTV and my SamsungTV, but I can't get anything but a Stereo PCM audio on non-atmos content. Note: I am using the Beta TVs 17, so I'm thinking it could be a glitch in the new software.

Hi - I can't locate where to trust Charles certificate in Settings > General > About after the update to tvOS 16.6. The menu item is no longer present. I can still install the profile using Apple Configurator but it will not take effect. Restarting the system did not make any difference.

We have developed an Apple TV application with a Hebrew (RTL layout) interface. The application utilizes a Swift-based Digit Entry view controller for pin entry. However, we are encountering an issue where the numeric keyboard numbers overlap with the backspace class TVDigitEntryViewController : UIViewController The problem specifically occurs when the Apple TV language is set to English, while the application language is set to Hebrew with RTL layout. As a result, the number 1 from the numeric keyboard is hidden behind the backspace button, as shown in the attached image. We are seeking a solution or suggestions on how to resolve this issue and ensure that the numeric keyboard is properly aligned with the backspace button in our Hebrew Apple TV application.

I found that my 2nd generation siri remote does not work properly with the apple tv simulator. The central button and the back button works, but the 4 directional buttons and the sliding gestures do not work. However my 1st generation siri remote work normally. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

Hi I am logging app and loading home page all task working properly.After login I save user data in UserDefaults.But I suddenly closing Apple TV then I am getting UserDefaults data as nil.

Clicking pair shows a code on the Apple TV. Entering that code displays a progress wheel saying “setting up Apple TV” then instead of the Apple TV being setup “PAIR”shows again allowing you to do the setup over and over without being able to use the Apple TV for development. The device loops on the registration process never allowing it to actually be prepared. This happens on all 4 of my Apple TV 4K Second Generations. I have filed a bug with the feedback assistant. I’m just wondering did anyone find a way to successfully pair / or fix this problem. Without this developing for this platform is nearly impossible. Since the Apple TV’s don’t have a port for direct connection. I don’t want to factory reset all 4 of my Apple TV’s that all do the same thing. I honestly don’t think that will fix them. This is the exact process I did: Go to window on Xcode menu bar Click devices and simulators Go to Remote App and Devices on Apple TV & select it In the discovered tap area click my Apple TV Select Pair Enter code being displayed on Apple TV Wait for device to be available for development Device doesn't display as registered and allows you to do the process over & over

I would like to see movies in the original frame rate. It may just be me but I cannot find a way to view movies on iMovie or Apple TV. I definitely have on match frame rate and dynamic range on and my Apple TV (A1842) because I don’t like seeing everything in fake Dolby Vision. If this is possible I would like to know how. The way it looks to me is this isn’t possible.

Regarding live content, is it only necessary to provide an availability feed, or should both an availability feed and content feed be provided for VOD?

Hi All, We are a school down here in OZ and have 69 Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) and there are 5 that for some weird reason disable wifi and AWDL when plugged into ethernet. I know ethernet takes priority over wifi but the other 50-odd Apple TVs are working great with Airplay Staff and students here are air playing all day and the AWDL is super fast with its connections it makes it awesome for the users. The awdl is a god sent as we are an apple school with over 1200 apple laptops. We have tried numerous scenarios from different vlans different locations within the college, Factory rest and different TV OS versions but for some reason, these particular apple TV's just disable the awdl when plugged into ethernet. I have 2 diagnostics files from the apple tv's 1 from a working one and one from one that is not working as expected you can clearly see the AWDL disabled under the wifi section.

Default volume issue as stereo pair of atv 4k I have two 2nd gen new homepods in stereo pair connected to atv 4k as its default speakers. Then the atv 4k is connected to my sony x90j tv using hdmi 3 which is eARC enabled. All of homepods and atv are now in ver 16.4 beta. When my tv, atv and homepods are off and then i shout to siri to play music, the homepods respond and play music with zero volume. I need to manually increase the volume level. There were no such issues when my homepods were not connected to atv. Anyone knows what happened? Besides, my atv 4k is on in my home app when playing songs even though it’s not on. So strange

Hi, I have two hompods connected in pairs to a new 2022 apple TV 4k 128bg. When I enable "play TV audio eArc beta" this activates the eArc passtrought output on the samsung QN95A. TV audio is played on the two homepods and everything works fine. When I turn off the tv though and turn it on a few hours later, the apple tv and homepods stop playing tv audio inexplicably. For everything to work properly you need to re-pair by disabling and re-enabling the earc option on the apple TV. This is really frustrating. I want to emphasize that use an HDMI 2.1 certified cable and I have tried others due. Always with the same result. Samsung service support tell me that is a apple tv issue. I apologize for the language but I'm Italian and I speak little English. Do you have any solution to this issue? Thank you

We want to support a long history on live channels, so we have a very long playlist with over 1000 chunks. Most players we test have no issues with it, but the iOS player as well as Apple TV (airplay) take a very long time to start. I wonder why, and if we are missing something.
