With visionOS 27, if you use a non US Apple ID, if the language is set to English on the country to USA, you don’t get Siri AI even if Siri AI is supposed to be available on visionOS 27 in all countries if the system is in English. iOS and iPadOS are the only systems where Siri AI is not available in Europe. As macOS, visionOS is supposed to have Siri AI enabled worldwide if the system is configured in English. The problem is confirmed with many French Vision Pro users with a French Apple ID. Are there specific Entitlements (com.apple.security.temporary-exception.files.absolute-path.read-write or network exceptions) required to allow App Intents to talk to local UNIX sockets or loopback interfaces (127.0.0.1) without triggering sandbox violations?

I’ve found nothing about the waitlist, like when are there expected openings, how does an opening occur, and do I need to do anything else except join the waitlist? It’s been indexing for the same amount of time that I’ve been waiting for Siri, so is that a factor?

i have been on the waitlist since the release , I have asked many of my friends and they got it at very different times , who got it in hours who in days , and then there's me , a whole week of waiting for nothing , as a developer this is affecting my workflow but there's nothing more to do than reporting it to apple via the feedback app. the thing that makes us all anxious its not being able to see our position in line if there even is one because users reported that who downloaded and joined the waitlist later got it sooner than someone who installed iOS 27 and joined the waitlist before . AS OF RIGHT NOW I NOTICED A PATTERN. NEWER DEVICES THAT FINISH THE INDEXING FASTER GET THRU THE WAITLIST , while others like iPhone 15 pro and iPad m1 GET TO WAIT EVEN IF THE INDEXING IS FINISHED . what can we do other than wait , is there any way of KNOWING YOUR CURRENT STATE IN WAITING IN LINE.

Hi, I joined the New Siri waitlist on June 8 (the day of WWDC 2026) and as of June 12, I have still not been granted access on iPhone or iPad — that's 4 days with no activation. I used the Terminal workaround on macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta (EnhancedSiriWaitlist → Enabled = NO), which successfully activated New Siri on my Mac. However, it has not synced to my other devices despite being on the same Apple ID with iCloud Siri sync enabled. Do apps like Files, Safari, and Finder provide on screen data on request? I've got an entity that implements transferable, but Siri is consistently telling me that it is unable to export data from Files, Safari and photos, and does not seem to want to construct my entity. (it's an @PhotoAsset entity, and I've implemented @createAssets as well.) Is that true at the moment that Siri cannot read data from those apps? I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

How are some people getting access within 10 minutes while I've been waiting for over a week? In fact, it's been 48 hrs since I joined the waitlist. This is honestly ridiculous. I've met all the requirements, enabled every necessary setting, and still have no access. Meanwhile, others are getting approved almost instantly. If the rollout is based on a waitlist, then it should be handled fairly and consistently. Waiting this long for a feature update is extremely frustrating, especially when there has been little to no communication about the delay.

According to https://developer.apple.com/download/files/CarPlay-Developer-Guide.pdf , apps with entitlement com.apple.developer.carplay-driving-task are allowed to use voice control. In my current implementation the voice recording working fine but the voice response (AVPlayer with category "playback set") does not output any audio. I suspect that it is a entitlement limitation because if I quickly tap to play a music while the voice assistant AVPlayer is "playing", then I can hear the response, but without this trick it stays playing but mute. In parallel I have now requested com.apple.developer.carplay-voice-based-conversation entitlement , but I don't even know if when approved I will be able to use 2 entitlement for the same CarPlay app. Long story short: 1 - Should an app be able to play audio responses when it's CarPlay entitlement is com.apple.developer.carplay-driving-task? 2 - If not, can I combine entitlements com.apple.developer.carplay-driving-task and com.apple.developer.carplay-voice-based-conversation?

I am developing an iOS 26+ navigation app. The app has the default navigation entitlement, MKDirectionsModeCar, MKDirectionsRequest / com.apple.maps.directionsrequest handling, a routing coverage file, phone navigation, CarPlay navigation, and CarPlay Dashboard support. However, when the user says “Navigate to [insert city/place/address] using [name of app],” Siri opens Apple Maps instead. My app receives no URL event, no MKDirections.Request, no App Intent event, and no CarPlay scene URL event. I found a related thread here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/759653. We are integrating the App Intents framework into our iOS app to enable Siri functionality, including intents that display user data (e.g., showing upcoming schedule information) and intents that perform actions on behalf of users (e.g., submitting a time-off request). Our Legal team has asked us to provide any developer-specific integration terms or agreements that govern the engineering use of Siri and the App Intents framework — separate from the user-facing Siri, Dictation & Privacy terms. So far, the only reference we've found to App Intents or Siri in Apple's developer agreements is Section J of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. We've also reviewed the App Store Review Guidelines, the Privacy HIG, and the Siri HIG. As a point of comparison, Apple Maps has its own specific set of developer integration terms (MapKit / Apple Maps Server API terms). Does anything equivalent exist for Siri and/or the App Intents framework? If Section J of the License Agreement and the relevant HIG sections are the complete set of terms governing developer use of App Intents and Siri, confirmation of that would also be very helpful. Bug Report Environment 4× HomePod mini, audioOS 26.4 (23L243) iPhone, iPad, Mac – all running latest OS versions (iOS/iPadOS/macOS 26) iCloud account active, Shortcuts sync enabled on all devices Summary Siri no longer executes custom Shortcuts on any HomePod mini. Instead, the HomePod responds with built-in Siri answers or refers to the internet, as if no custom Shortcuts were registered. The same Shortcuts work correctly via Siri on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Reproducible Test Case Created a new Shortcut named "Lemon Blue Seven" from scratch – no resemblance to any built-in Siri command, single action: spoken text output. Result: Mac: recognized and executed correctly via Siri iPhone / iPad: recognized and executed correctly via Siri (after re-registration, see below) All 4 HomePod mini: not recognized – Siri responds as if the Shortcut does not exist Steps to Reproduce Create a new Shortcut with a unique name and a single spoken output action Ensure iCloud Shortcuts sync is active on all devices Invoke via Siri on HomePod mini: „Run [Shortcut name]" HomePod responds with a built-in Siri answer instead of executing the Shortcut Additional Observations The issue appeared without any user-initiated changes to the setup Deleting all Shortcuts and re-importing them manually caused Siri registration to also break on iPhone and iPad; this was resolved by disabling iCloud Shortcuts sync, restarting the devices, and re-enabling sync The HomePod issue persisted through this fix – suggesting the HomePod's Intent delegation is broken independently of the hub device's registration state When a Shortcut name resembles a built-in command (e.g. „What time is it?"), the HomePod executes the built-in command instead – confirming it does not consult the user's Shortcut registry at all Troubleshooting Already Performed Multiple HomePod restarts Full factory reset and re-setup of HomePod (multiple times, also tested with only one HomePod active) Voice recognition re-trained Personal Requests disabled and re-enabled iCloud Shortcuts sync disabled on all devices, devices restarted, sync re-enabled sequentially All Shortcuts deleted and manually re-imported Home Hub verified: Bathroom HomePod registered as Home Hub, status „Connected" Tested with a separate Home setup Contacted Apple Support – no resolution provided Expected Behavior Siri on HomePod mini recognizes and executes user-defined Shortcuts by name, as it did prior to this issue and as it continues to do on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
