We are experiencing a lot of problems deploying an enterprise app for in-house use since late January. All our iPads are managed by an MDM solution. It can take 10 or more attempts to successfully deploy the app. The deployment usually fails with the message "ASDErrorDomain error 854" among other messages. The company providing the MDM solution has no idea what causes this message or what it means. I suspect the error message is not generated by the MDM solutiion but rather gets passed through from iOS. After many attempts the installation may succeed suddenly, though, and the apps works as expected, but this may take weeks. I have not done any changes to my development system. 'I am running XCode 15.3 with SDK version 17.4, the iPads are on iOS 18.3

short version question: why some users after deleting and downloading back my in-house app, cannot start the new process for approving developer, but instead it tries to start and then crashes immediately? long question version I am maintaining an in-house distributed enterprise app. due to update in iOS 18 update here users need to trust the developer via a new procedure that involves restarting device and inserting the phone code. after thousands (more or less 30.000) of users with no issue at all, some of them has this problem, the old (expired)trust seems to be persistent and never updated. Standard events a user deletes the app via settings > general > VPN & device management or via classic persistent touch procedure checks no other presence of the app is on the device via spotlight. since it is the only app with "MyDeveloperName" on the phone, if users goe back to VPN & device management screen, no app or developer will be present. user downloads new version of the app. If taps directly on the icon there is a system alert with says the developer must be trusted. a this point in settings > general > VPN & device management you can find a line with developer name, tapping on it we find a screen where user finds a white button with BLUE message "authorize MyDeveloperName" and follows procedure. My issue is that some users get following different behavior, and I do not understand why: ❌ tapping on downloaded app icon: no alert, but app tries to start then crashes. ❌ going in VPN & device management screen there is only RED write button "delete app" in both paths, working and not working, the app results "verified" in VPN & device management screen (Apple says old authorizations are preserved.)

I desperately need help with this issue. Are there any known issues regarding MDM profiles not installing on iPhone 17? Too many cases are being reported.

I'm hoping to make certain in-house apps fail to launch by revoking the in-house certificate that they were built on. This is by way of encouraging users of these apps to download updates built on a new certificate. How long will it take app built on a now-revoked certificate to no longer launch? Also, what is Apple's process for checking the validity of an in-house certificate in an app built on that certificate, running on iOS devices? I understand that provisioning profiles have built-in expiration dates, but will an in-house app that's built on a valid provisioning profile keep running even on a revoked certificate if the revocation happened before the certificate's own expiration date? I am having what feels like an endless nightmare trying to convert from an individual to an organisation. I had set up a bank account with my individual, done a WEN-BEN-8 or whatever it is called, then found out that I would need to do an organisation so that my name was not splashed around with my app. I created a company, got an ABN, an ACN, a DUNS, a bank account, a GST (even though I'm technically exempt in Australia - I doubt I will earn more than $300), and now I can't seem to change my bank account to a business account or do the WEN-BEN-8 rubbish for my organisation. This is literally harder than writing a game. I was asked for a letter of employment, but when I said, 'Do you want me to write a letter to myself, from myself, employing myself' - they did a half migration.... I am sitting stuck in limbo with an approved app, and a half-transferred organisation account... any tips on how I can resign the paid app agreement on the 'business account' when that is not being offered? Sorry for the rant, but over two weeks with this back and forth and I've developed an eye twitch...

New devices coming to this year is named as iPhone 17 .... Why we care not going for iPhone 26. .... ? if it is named as iPhone 26... in line with new version policy, it will be easier to relate in all perspective.

Hi, I developed a Platform Single Sign-On extension and a corresponding extension for my IdP, which is Keycloak based. The code for both projects are here: https://github.com/unioslo/keycloak-psso-extension and https://github.com/unioslo/weblogin-mac-sso-extension I realized that, when using the Secure Enclave as the AuthenticationMethod, and according to Apple's documentation, the Extension doesn’t obtain fresh ID Tokens when they expire if the refresh token is still valid. When using password as the Authentication Method, it fetches new ID tokens when they expire, without prompting the user for credentials, by using the refresh token. My suggestion is that the same behavior should be implemented for Secure Enclave keys. The thing here is that usually, on OIDC flows, the ID/Access tokens are short-lived. It would make sense for the extension to provide fresh ID tokens. It doesn’t seem to make sense for me that, when using passwords, the extension would fetch these tokens, and not when having the Secure Enclave key. By not doing this, Apple almost forces the developer of an extension to fetch new ID tokens themselves, which doens’t make sense when it clearly provides fresh tokens when using passwords. It almost forces the developers to either implement that logic themselves, or to issue longer tokens, which is not so nice. How so you deal with this? Do you simply use the refresh token as an authentication token, or do you do some sort of manual refresh on the extension?

We are trying to develop an app that will be responsible for managing 5000+ managed iPads through Intune MDM. The user flow is to have a device locked to a single app when a user is not logged in, but to make the device available to other apps once a user is authenticated. We already tried UIAccessibility GuidedAccess Mode and autonomous single app mode but those were not sufficient due to our need to be able to toggle this from the background. When the device may be asleep. So another way we could achieve this functionality would be to control all app access under a launching mechanism. That way we could allow one app to be visible in our MDM configuration and try to access our business app through that using deep links. If this were to work, we would have to be able to hide an app and still make it launchable from the manager. Any ideas? Thanks

Why is MDM camera restriction designed not to work on the lock screen?

How can we receive the iPadOS 18.6.1 update on an iPad? We have configured the MDM update days policy to receive recent, but not the latest, iPadOS updates; however, we are only able to get versions 18.6.2 and 18.6. Is the availability of iPadOS updates dependent on the iPad's region? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Apple Community, At WWDC25, introduced a native device migration feature with iOS/macOS 26 and Apple Business Manager that promises seamless migration from one MDM to another without wiping devices or manual re-enrollment. That said, while testing this in iOS/macOS 26 beta, we ran into an issue: the Wi-Fi settings deployed by the old MDM aren’t retained during the migration. This means devices lose Wi-Fi connectivity partway through, and users have to manually reconnect before the migration to the new MDM can continue. This interrupts what should be a smooth, hands-off process. We wanted to ask if this is a known issue or limitation with the current beta? Are there any recommended ways to avoid losing Wi-Fi profiles during this migration window? Will this improve in future updates so that the Wi-Fi connection is preserved or seamlessly handed off to the new MDM? Any tips, workarounds, or official guidance Apple can share on best practices for handling Wi-Fi profiles during ABM-native device migrations would be hugely appreciated. I registered in this summer, uploaded 2 apps. But recently I decided to add iAP to my apps, everything is ready, in Xcode sandbox everything works fine, but when I uploaded new version to TestFlight to test, when I tap on the subscription it says something like "Product not found". (I have added subscriptions to the app, and added them to the version before submitting, also, this version is in status "awaiting developer release" so I can tap a button and this new version with iAPs will be on App Store. But im unsure what to do, because exactly this verified by Apple's version is not working in TestFlight.) In Business section of my Apple Developer Account in Agreements I only have agreement of free apps, but not about the paid apps. 
When I registered I used my (R)(us)sian passport, I think this is the reason that I simply don't even have the agreement of paid apps to accept it. 
I have multiple passports, and multiple EU debit cards. I emailed apple to change the location of my account (to another EU country), but they ghosted me. They sent me emails to upload documents about 4 or 5 times, every time I uploaded my another passport, got an auto email "thank you, we will write you in 2-3 days", but either they did not write me, or they said that the document is not in English (it isn't). 
What do I do? Also, to my situation, someone of my family has a company in (R)(us)sia, and I have in EU (Estonia). Maybe if nothing will work out with "Individual account", I should change to my company? And what is better EU or (R)(us)sian?

The profile expiration date is approaching, and no amount of inquiries will solve it. Create a new profile Download a new profile from Xcode Press archive, press Distribute App, press Enterprise, and distribute Invalid expiration date in profile of summary of review app.ipa content I've tried everything that comes out by Googleing profiles, such as regenerating profiles, erasing caches, updating Xcode, updating macOS, deleting existing profile information, etc. Expiration date different from the expiration date of the profile created in that menu is displayed. The expiration date of the profile I created is December 8, 2026, and the previous certificate is January 22, 2026. However, the profile information of the generated ipa is February 12, 2026. So I can't distribute this app because I'm scared, and the expiration date is coming up. Users should have a period of time to update. Get me a novice developer who's choking up.

We have a WebContentFilter that has an AllowList with a couple of domains and a DenyList that includes www.apple.com. This works on iOS18.x but doesn't work in iOS26 as www.apple.com can be reached. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depc77c9609/web Indicates that .apple.com is always accessible but evidence seems to indicate this wasn't the case pre iOS26. An older version of this page https://web.archive.org/web/20220427202204/https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depc77c9609/web has no mention of .apple.com although field names are also different. Has this change come about due to the filtering changes introduced in iOS26 and is there any way we can still block .apple.com going forward. Would a content plugin be an options ?
