Keychain Access terminates after entering correct user password twice
Hi, I'm struggling to access Keychain Access app on a brand new mac mini m4 pro running Sequoia 15.3.1. After opening the app, I get a prompt to enter the current password; after I enter the correct password the first time, the prompt opens again. I enter the correct password again and the app terminates. I've checked Console and Keychain Access process logged: Initial auth failed: Error Domain=com.apple.LocalAuthentication Code=-1000 "ACM policy evaluation succeeded, but ACM is still requesting 1:1, 3:1, 15:1 on ACMContext 111 after a retry." UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=ACM policy evaluation succeeded, but ACM is still requesting 1:1, 3:1, 15:1 on ACMContext 111 after a retry., NSLocalizedDescription=Authentication failure., BiometryType=1} terminate: void _NSDisableAutomaticTerminationAndLog(NSString *) Terminating Attempting sudden termination (1st attempt) ... App termination approved I've also tried to update the password of my user but Keychain doesn't accept the new password.

Bluetooth pairing problems (iPhone 16 Pro with Sony WH-1000XM5)
Upgraded from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to an iPhone 16 Pro a week ago. Both running on latest iOS 18 and data transfer was done manually Bluetooth pairing seems to be facing a problem. I have been trying to pair up with my Sony WH-1000XM5 but somehow the phone fails to detect the headphones on Bluetooth. Today I tested with my spare earbuds Bose Soundsport Wireless and faced exactly the same problem. Strange Carplay and my home JVC home player don‘t have this problem

Apple Enrolment Program
Hi team, I am trying to enroll my company, in the Apple Developer Program - I am repeatedly receiving a rejection from Apple’s system. It shows in review and when I continue to enrollment, nothing happens. It submits as a new request. I have: ✅ Verified my business name and address with D&B (matches exactly). ✅ Checked that my business is a legal entity (LLP). ✅ Ensured all details match across D&B, UPIK, and Apple’s lookup tool. ✅ Attempted re-submission multiple times without success. However, despite these steps, I am still unable to proceed. Please help.

Would YOU use ClamXav on an Apple Mac?
Mac users often ask whether they should install "anti-virus" software. The answer usually given on ASC is "no." The answer is right, but it may give the wrong impression that there is no threat from what are loosely called "viruses." There is a threat, and you need to educate yourself about it. This is a comment on what you should—and should not—do to protect yourself from malicious software ("malware") that circulates on the Internet and gets onto a computer as an unintended consequence of the user's actions. It does not apply to software, such as keystroke loggers, that may be installed deliberately by an intruder who has hands-on access to the computer, or who has been able to log in to it remotely. That threat is in a different category, and there's no easy way to defend against it. The comment is long because the issue is complex. The key points are in sections 5, 6, and 10. OS X now implements three layers of built-in protection specifically against malware, not counting runtime protections such as execute disable, sandboxing, system library randomization, and address space layout randomization that may also guard against other kinds of exploits. 2. All versions of OS X since 10.6.7 have been able to detect known Mac malware in downloaded files, and to block insecure web plugins. This feature is transparent to the user. Internally Apple calls it "XProtect." The malware recognition database used by XProtect is automatically updated; however, you shouldn't rely on it, because the attackers are always at least a day ahead of the defenders. The following caveats apply to XProtect: ☞ It can be bypassed by some third-party networking software, such as BitTorrent clients and Java applets. ☞ It only applies to software downloaded from the network. Software installed from a CD or other media is not checked. As new versions of OS X are released, it's not clear whether Apple will indefinitely continue to maintain the XProtect database of older versions such as 10.6. The security of obsolete system versions may eventually be degraded. Security updates to the code of obsolete systems will stop being released at some point, and that may leave them open to other kinds of attack besides malware. 3. Starting with OS X 10.7.5, there has been a second layer of built-in malware protection, designated "Gatekeeper" by Apple. By default, applications and Installer packages downloaded from the network will only run if they're digitally signed by a developer with a certificate issued by Apple. Software certified in this way hasn't necessarily been tested by Apple, but you can be reasonably sure that it hasn't been modified by anyone other than the developer. His identity is known to Apple, so he could be held legally responsible if he distributed malware. That may not mean much if the developer lives in a country with a weak legal system (see below.) Gatekeeper doesn't depend on a database of known malware. It has, however, the same limitations as XProtect, and in addition the following: ☞ It can easily be disabled or overridden by the user. ☞ A malware attacker could get control of a code-signing certificate under false pretenses, or could simply ignore the consequences of distributing codesigned malware. ☞ An App Store developer could find a way to bypass Apple's oversight, or the oversight could fail due to human error. Apple has so far failed to revoke the codesigning certificates of some known abusers, thereby diluting the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. These failures don't involve App Store products, however. For the reasons given, App Store products, and—to a lesser extent—other applications recognized by Gatekeeper as signed, are safer than others, but they can't be considered absolutely safe. "Sandboxed" applications may prompt for access to private data, such as your contacts, or for access to the network. Think before granting that access. Sandbox security is based on user input. Never click through any request for authorization without thinking. 4. Starting with OS X 10.8.3, a third layer of protection has been added: a "Malware Removal Tool" (MRT). MRT runs automatically in the background when you update the OS. It checks for, and removes, malware that may have evaded the other protections via a Java exploit (see below.) MRT also runs when you install or update the Apple-supplied Java runtime (but not the Oracle runtime.) Like XProtect, MRT is effective against known threats, but not against unknown ones. It notifies you if it finds malware, but otherwise there's no user interface to MRT. 5. The built-in security features of OS X reduce the risk of malware attack, but they are not, and never will be, complete protection. Malware is a problem of human behavior, and a technological fix is not going to solve it. Trusting software to protect you will only make you more vulnerable. The best defense is always going to be your own intelligence. With the possible exception of Java exploits, all known malware circulating on the Internet that affects a fully-updated installation of OS X 10.6 or later takes the form of so-called "****** horses," which can only have an effect if the victim is duped into running them. The threat therefore amounts to a battle of wits between you and the scam artists. If you're smarter than they think you are, you'll win. That means, in practice, that you always stay within a safe harbor of computing practices. Malware defence By Linc Davis - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6460085

Network issues with MacOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta 3
I installed MacOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta 3 this morning. It worked fine till the afternoon but after that, I could no longer connect to the internet. I was able to join wifi networks and hotspots but it would just show no internet connection. Tried connecting via iPhone USB and LAN too but wasn't able to get it to work. Finally with no other option had to reinstall mac os. Gladly, the recovery tool installed the Beta 2. Learned my lesson, would never upgrade to developer beta ever again (at least not on my work laptop).

Swift Student Challenge Devices / Simulator preferred building device
For the SSDC submission, the app playground must run on Swift Playgrounds 4.5+ or Xcode 16+. Key questions: In Swift Playgrounds, is the app tested on iPadOS or macOS? In Xcode 16+, is the playground tested using Mac Catalyst, an iPad simulator, or an iPhone simulator? The submission form only mentions a simulator but doesn’t specify which one. Can I build an app primarily for iPhone (portrait mode), or is it better to focus on iPad (landscape mode) if that’s the expected testing environment in all cases?

External Keyboard and Mouse Input Broken in iOS/iPadOS 18.4.1 — Apple and Third-Party Devices Affected (Magic Keyboard, Redragon K580RGBPRO, Razer Naga V2 Pro)
In the public release of iOS 18.4.1 and iPadOS 18.4.1, external input support for keyboards and mice is critically degraded. This issue affects both Apple-branded and third-party HID-compliant devices, over both wired USB-C and Bluetooth. Tested Hardware: • iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB) • iPad Pro (USB-C, latest gen), last gen iPad as well Affected Devices: • Apple Magic Mouse and Keys (wired USB-C/Bluetooth) • Redragon K580RGBPRO (Bluetooth/wired USB-C) • Razer Naga V2 Pro (Bluetooth/USB-C) Symptoms: • Severe keystroke delay and dropped input • Modifier keys (Shift, Command, Option) fail intermittently • Input degrades further with multiple HID devices connected • Mouse input via Bluetooth exhibits pointer lag and jitter • Occurs in all apps: Notes, Safari, Mail, text fields, password entries, etc. • Identical results using Apple USB-C cables Reproducibility: 100%. Clean boots, minimal background activity, and isolated environments (including Airplane Mode) do not resolve the issue. Identical behavior across both iPhone and iPad. Expected Behavior: All HID-compliant external input devices — particularly Apple-branded ones — should provide low-latency, reliable, and consistent input over both USB-C and Bluetooth, especially in a production iOS/iPadOS release. Actual Behavior: External keyboards and mice exhibit: • Lag • Dropped characters • Failed modifiers • Degraded mouse tracking Even with the latest hardware and clean configurations. Severity: Critical. This is a platform-level failure affecting I/O at the user interaction layer. Input reliability is non-negotiable — especially on $2000+ flagship devices using Apple’s own peripherals. Closing Note (for Apple engineering & peer devs): This is not a beta regression — it’s a public release flaw that undermines iOS and iPadOS usability for power users, professionals, and accessibility communities alike. That Apple Magic Keyboard, Redragon, and Razer gear all fail equally and consistently should be a wake-up call. Apple: this needs to be escalated. Now. External input — one of the most basic subsystems in any OS — is broken on your highest-end devices.

General question about use of disassembled Apple products.
If I want to display my corporations digital position would it be considered legal to use an iPhone SIM card reader as it seems to have a “data” point that hints at the idea of stabilization of intelligence that be found both off line and online. I did a little research and it said Apples proprietary patents are referring to the size, ejection, magnetic trigger etc which leads me to want to know if the idea of using a SIM card reader to position the corporation as it uses a $USD specimen data file to position the idea of the corporation into a tangible format. The part I’m referring to is the iPhone 11 sim tray and reader. The picture refers to the idea of the point on the back being similar to the ***** eye as something similar to the dollar seal. I want to be a winner in the industry, I’ve got 50 plus “winner web domains” to bring to life and it’s time to buckle down and evolve the digital economy but first I want to validate the legality of me using disassembled Apple products to configure a “digital unit” that displays a “cyber analog”.

Unable to Update from MacOS 15.1 to 15.2
Hello! Has anyone else been unable to update from MacOS 15.1 to 15.2? I have set the update stream to Dev Beta 15.2 and when I check for updates it shows that there are no updates available and I am up to date on 15.1. I am on a 2024 M3 MBP. I submitted a feedback ticket but was wondering if others are experiencing this issue also.

Urgent: Locked Account Holder – Need Help Accessing Developer Account
Hello Apple Developer Community, I'm hoping someone can advise me on a serious issue. Our organization's Apple Developer Program account has been effectively locked because our Account Holder's Apple ID is inaccessible. I need to unlock that Apple ID so we can manage our apps. I've already reached out to Apple Developer Support, but so far, I haven't received a response. This situation is critical because our clients rely on us to maintain and update our apps. Key details (some info is masked for privacy): • We're enrolled as an Organization/Company. • The current Account Holder's Apple ID is locked and cannot perform any actions. • No other accounts have admin access. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows a more efficient route to escalate, I'd be extremely grateful for your insights. Thanks in advance for any advice you can share. This is critical to our organization, and we'd appreciate any pointers on how to navigate or expedite the support process.

Issue getting back only a subset of product IDs for purchase controller
As of today we seem to continuously get back 21 of the product IDs we have defined when the shop initializes. This is causing what looks like intermittent bug behavior in our shop. The IDs sent each time are random (not always the same 21). So sometimes they match shop offers and the packs look right and can be bought and sometimes the ones our current shop offers need are not sent and so the offers in game look wrong and error when you try to buy. Is anyone else seeing this new behavior of not getting down all their product IDs successfully?

IOS 18.2 beta 2 crashing
Hello all, I’ve had the iOS 18 beta since it’s been available, but recently when I updated to iOS 18.2 beta 2 I’ve been experiencing random crashes and frozen screens. I can’t seem to find any common reason for it, as it’s seemingly random. My screen will turn black and show the loading icon like I’ve run out of battery before the screen turns back on showing the Lock Screen. I’ve experienced crashes anywhere from 1-5 times daily for roughly 3-5 days, though the screen has only frozen once and gone completely unresponsive for a solid minute. When it froze I attempted to power off the phone, but all buttons were y responsive as well. After around a minute had passed, the screen went black and it crashed before returning to the Lock Screen and working otherwise fine afterwards. Has anyone else experienced this, or know a potential reason this is happening ?

I got charged the annual developer renewal fee twice, then my account got suspended
So I got charged the annual developer fee on December 2024, and then again this February 2025. Worse, a few days after getting charged twice, I received an email from Apple saying my developer account subscription has been suspended due to failure in paying the annual fee. I already submitted a support ticket to Apple, but I haven't gotten a response yet. Is there something else I can do? Would appreaciate any help. Thanks!

Which device is used to test Swift Student Challenge submissions?
Hi there, I intend to submit an app playground for the Swift Student Challenge this year. I am currently using the Swift Playgrounds app to develop a playground. Now I understand that when submitting I can choose the option of having my app playground to be tested on Swift Playgrounds on either iPadOS or macOS. But I would also like to know on which screen size is my app going to be tested. Let's say I want my app playground to run on macOS, now is there a way to also select the MacBook model, like 14-inch or 16-inch? This would give the participants a better idea of where the app playground will be tested.

MacBook M2 PRO screen flickering
I have a 2023 MacBook Pro M2 Pro, and for some time now, every time I go to Settings and then to Display, or when I access the Control Center and then Screen Mirroring, or when I try to use the Handoff or AirPlay controls while connected to Wi-Fi, the screen starts flickering, showing dotted horizontal lines in a grayish color. I’ve done a clean format, booted in safe mode, run Apple’s diagnostic tests, ensured all updates are current, and unpaired all external devices. It’s unbelievable that Apple isn’t interested in resolving this issue, which seems to affect many users with their new M chips. Apple should also realize that not everyone has the ability to visit their stores since some people live far away, as if the U.S. were the center of the universe. Steve would be very upset to see how those in charge are allowed to do whatever they want to make money. Interestingly, this started happening right when my warranty expired.
