Invalid Bundle ID: XCode Cloud -> Create App on App Store Connect
Hi - I was recently added to Apple Developer Team, and I am trying to upload an App to our Team's App Store Connect account for TestFlight distribution. I am trying to use XCode Cloud to this all automatically, but it is currently giving me this error: "Invalid Bundle ID. Bundle ID "com.***.YYY" could not be automatically registered because it is not available. Update the bundle ID of your project and try again." I am not sure if this is related to the fact that when I try to associate my XCode Account (XCode -> Settings -> Accounts), I only see my (Personal Team) account even after removing that account and re-adding it. Additionally, when I go my App -> Targets -> Signing & Capabilities and I check / uncheck automatically manage signing. I only see my Personal Team account. When I try to download a Provisioning Profile, I see "No Valid Teams, Unable to Find Any Valid Teams." I need to keep the bundle ID of the project as is because it is associated with a Firebase backend. What should I try next? Thanks!

Xcode Cloud disables code indexing (COMPILER_INDEX_STORE_ENABLE=NO) — How to enable for tools like Periphery?
I've noticed that when using the Test action in an Xcode Cloud workflow, the xcodebuild command includes COMPILER_INDEX_STORE_ENABLE=NO while performing build-for-testing. This disables the index store, which is required by tools like Periphery to analyze unused code. Without indexing, Periphery triggers a fresh build internally, resulting in a significant increase in CI build time. Is there any way to enable indexing (COMPILER_INDEX_STORE_ENABLE=YES) on Xcode Cloud? Or alternatively, is there a recommended workaround to generate and access the index store? Any help is appreciated.

Could not resolve host: download.onnxruntime.ai
Can anyone help me resolve this lookup issue? This has been breaking builds for months. We make no changes and after a couple hours it works. It seems like Apple resolvers are getting a failure and then negatively caching the failure. Inconsistent Xcode cloud performance
Hi! For the past few days I have been experiencing slower builds in my workflows, without a clear reason of the cause as sometimes they run with the old usual time. I tried contacting the Developer Support without success in finding out the reason of these issues, the case number was 102661768064. As an example, I have a workflow for Pull request checks that involves testing and analyzing. This usually ran for 11-15mins, but now it could take up to 30mins or more. Looking into the logs it just seems that the machine it's particularly slow, then in another build it goes with usual times again. As an example, below are the summaries of two builds of the same branch: Being in the free tier, these new long times are burning my free time quite faster and probably will need to look into running this checks in GitHub Actions if it doesn't improve. A hint of what might be wrong is also found in an error in the test workflow, which denotes a problem booting a simulator. Any help on this will be appreciated, thanks!

Xcode 16 unable to use iOS 16.2 - 17.5 Simulators
When testing on Xcode Cloud I am unable to use any simulators between iOS 16.2 and 17.5. I'm glad that there are options for <= 16.1, but given how small those userbases must be at this point it feels rather odd. Similarly, iOS 18 is still very new so it also has a disproportionately small number of users on it. Does not seem to matter if explicitly selecting Xcode/macOS versions. Am I configuring something incorrectly? Picked something wrong on a dropdown, checked the wrong box when setting up the workflow? Xcode 15.4 allows building to iOS 17.5, but not iOS 18. 🙃

XCode Cloud Error with IXGuard
Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone here experienced an error with XCode Cloud when running pipelines, specifically Error is: "An internal error was detected which caused this stage to error. The error has been logged, and you can re-run this build again." Upon checking the logs, there is no specific error other than the above and "The pipeline action could not complete due to an error. The error may not occur on rebuild." Note that in the pipeline, there is an obfuscation step using IXGuard. However, the IXGuard steps show successful on the logs.

When i click the reconnect button, it shows that xcode cloud successfully reconnected. But even after reloading the page, it still showing the same message.

Xcode (Cloud) vs. Playground App
Hej hej tl;dr. I have problems building a Playground App using Xcode Cloud and I created a reference repository to reproduce this. Did anyone try this before and succeeded? Maybe you have a hint about what's going wrong here. Initial Failure I followed the documentation for Building Swift packages and Swift Playgrounds app projects with Xcode Cloud and I have always run into the following error message: ❌ Code Signing Exporting for App Store Distribution failed. Please download the logs artifact for more information Check Logs “Fair game!” I thought, checked out the logs and see this error appearing twice in each of the following steps: Export archive for ad-hoc distribution Export archive for development distribution Export archive for app-store distribution 5.3 Sec. Run command: 'xcodebuild -exportArchive -archivePath /Volumes/workspace/tmp/3546d064-74fa-42d0-8b36-3623e18941be.xcarchive -exportPath /Volumes/workspace/adhocexport -exportOptionsPlist /Volumes/workspace/ci/ad-hoc-exportoptions.plist '-DVTPortalRequest.Endpoint=http://172.16.35.199:8089' -DVTProvisioningIsManaged=YES -IDEDistributionLogDirectory=/Volumes/workspace/tmp/ad-hoc-export-archive-logs -DVTSkipCertificateValidityCheck=YES -DVTServicesLogLevel=3' Error Command exited with non-zero exit-code: 70 Moving forward, I downloaded the logs artifact as suggested earlier. This is IDEDistribution.standard.log: 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] Starting export with options: {"embedOnDemandResourcesAssetPacksInBundle":true,"teamID":"38R2LLP8AF","stripSwiftSymbols":true,"thinning":"<none>","iCloudContainerEnvironment":"Development","destination":"export","reformatterBundleIdentifier":"hamburg.plus.encore","uploadSymbols":true,"raiseProfileSupportOptionalToRequired":false,"buildNumber":"4","testFlightInternalTestingOnly":false,"manageAppVersionAndBuildNumber":false,"method":"ad-hoc","generateAppStoreInformation":false} This is IDEDistribution.critical.log (actually it's three times this single error, but I'll spare you the repetition): 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] -[IDEDistributionMethodManager orderedDistributionMethodsForTask:archive:logAspect:]: Error = Error Domain=IDEDistributionMethodManagerErrorDomain Code=2 "Unknown Distribution Error" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Unknown Distribution Error} And this is an excerpt (of hopefully relevant details) of IDEDistribution.verbose.log (again, this happens three times, only giving the relevant data points here): … 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] Rejected distribution method <IDEDistributionMethodiOSAdHoc: 0x600001590100> because it doesn't support distributing archive … 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] Rejected distribution method <IDEDistributionMethodiOSAppStoreValidation: 0x6000015900f0> because it doesn't support distributing archive … 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] Rejected distribution method <IDEDistributionMethodiOSAppStoreDistribution: 0x600001590120> because it doesn't support distributing archive … 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] Rejected distribution method <IDEDistributionMethodiOSAdHoc: 0x600001590100> because it doesn't support distributing archive … 2024-10-27 11:15:04 +0000 [MT] Available distribution methods: {( <IDEDistributionMethodSaveBuiltProducts: 0x6000015f8060>, <IDEDistributionMethodExportArchive: 0x6000015f8070> )} Investigate Xcode Archive (*.xcarchive) At this point, I downloaded the Xcode archive from AppStoreConnect and realized that it only contained debug symbols for the app, but not the app itself. > ls -la /Users/herzi/Downloads/….xcarchive/Products total 0 drwxrwxr-x@ 2 herzi staff 64 27 Okt 12:21 . drwxrwxr-x@ 5 herzi staff 160 27 Okt 12:22 .. Notice the absence of the Applications folder that would contain the Application.app bundle. Current Status So I created a clean, sample repository for my integration. Did anyone try this before and succeeded? Maybe you have a hint about what's going wrong here.

Feature Request: Authorize api.github.com
Issue Description I'm have Local Swift Package which contains binary target to private github releases url is formed like below: https://api.github.com/repo/{owner}/{repo}/releases/assets/{asset_id}.zip I register the private repo to the xcodecloud, but still xcodecloud does not recognize "api.github.com" domain. So build keeps fails at downloading binary artifact. https://github.com/{owner}/{repo}/releases/download/{tag}/Myframework.xcframework.zip is not a valid choice since this kind of url, is not supported for private repository. Proposed Solution Please add authorization to the "api.github.com" like normal "github.com".

Xcode Cloud - TestFlight Internal Testing Processing Stuck for Over 8 Hours
I am experiencing significant delays with TestFlight Internal Testing processing in Xcode Cloud. The build has been stuck in the processing state for over 8 hours, which is significantly longer than our usual deployment time. Issue Details: Product: Xcode Cloud / TestFlight Internal Testing Time in Processing: 8+ hours Build Status: Stuck in "Processing for TestFlight Internal Testing" Workflow Type: iOS App Distribution Steps to Reproduce: Triggered Xcode Cloud workflow for iOS app Build completed successfully TestFlight Internal Testing processing started Processing has not completed after 8+ hours Technical Information: Xcode Version: Xcode 15.4 iOS App Target Version: iOS16.4 Attempted Troubleshooting: Verified all certificates and provisioning profiles are valid and up-to-date Confirmed the build was successful in Xcode Cloud Checked that the app binary size has not changed significantly Reviewed all workflow logs for potential errors or warnings Is there a known issue with TestFlight processing times currently? Are there any steps we can take to resolve or expedite this process? Can you investigate if there are any specific issues with our build that might be causing this delay? Please let me know if you need any additional information to assist with this issue. App Information: App Name:Simple Voice Recorder - Audio Bundle Identifier: id6443528409 Thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue. Best regards,

Xcode cloud build hanging at 46 percent, even though all stages have completed successfully
My Xcode cloud pipeline seems to be stuck at 46% inside the archiving step for some reason. When I run my project locally, it works, and uploading my build manually through Xcode to app store connect works too. However, when I try to build my app using Xcode cloud, it gets stuck after the archiving step has successfully completed. All checkmarks are green, but the archiving step does not terminate after one hour. I tried switching the cloud Xcode version, the cloud macOS version, changing my code. Nothing works and Xcode cloud is completely bricked. How do I fix this? There is no error message at all. The build is just stuck at 46% and nothing happens.

Cannot find "renamed.swift" in scope
I use xcode to rename a view in my project. It renamed the file, the struct, and all related items. However; since doing that my xcode cloud workflow fails, indicating that the it cannot find it in scope. I have confirmed that the file shows up in my BuildPhases - Compile Sources. I have confirmed it exists in my git repo, but Xcode Cloud still fails to find it in scope. I have confirmed it shows up in the correct Target Membership. I even tried removing it from the BuildPhases and re-adding it. How can I resolve this issue? Is there something else I can look at? btw, application builds fine locally on my machine.

Need help. How to get Xcode Cloud to 'resolve package dependencies.'
My organization just started having problems with Xcode Cloud this week. We have created a pretty simple 'Build on Pull Request'. The problem is our builds have started failing immediately because with the error. "Could not resolve package dependencies:" What is even more frustrating is the dependency that reported failed seem to changes every time. This did not happen before this week. Our build process is fairly vanilla, through Xcode. (We are NOT using CLI xcodebuild) I can build a locally just fine from a clean build, and cleaning derived data. Nothing has changed in our dependencies. We are not using any private dependencies. So I am stumped on what else to do how to debug, and fix this, because I am not sure how to encourage the Xcode Cloud build runner/server that the dependences are available and to jsut go get them. Any help would be great, because we just started using Xcode Cloud to get away from Fastlane (which was causing problems), and it would be frustrating if this is a sign of things to come. Sincerely, Stan

Inconsistent behavior across different test environments and simulators
I'm working on Apple Watch UI tests and have noticed different results between local and Xcode Cloud environments. I tested all cases locally, and they worked fine. However, when running the tests on Xcode Cloud, some issues caused them to fail: The test requires clicking a button to display the built-in keyboard, but on Xcode Cloud, the keyboard never appears, no matter how long I wait. The app unexpectedly closes during testing, displaying the error message: "Failed to launch application {Your app} is not running." These failures occurred on two different simulator destinations (Ultra 49mm 11.2 / Series 7 45mm 11.2) and can only be reproduced on specific simulators. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
