MusicSequenceSetUserCallback not called during playback on macOS despite successful registration
Hello, I am developing a macOS app using AudioToolbox's MusicSequence and MusicPlayer APIs to play Standard MIDI Files. The MIDI playback works correctly and I can hear sound from the external MIDI device. However, the user callback registered via MusicSequenceSetUserCallback is never invoked during playback. Details: Callback registration returns no error. MusicPlayer is properly started and prerolled. The callback is defined as a global function with the correct @convention(c) signature. I have tried commenting out MusicTrackSetDestMIDIEndpoint to avoid known callback suppression issues. The clientData pointer is passed and correctly unwrapped in the callback. Minimal reproducible example shows the same behavior. Environment: macOS version: [Tahoe 26.2] Xcode version: [26.2] Is it expected that MusicSequenceSetUserCallback callbacks may not be called in some cases? Are there additional steps or configurations required to ensure the callback is triggered during MIDI playback? Thank you for any advic

XCTFail immediately aborts the test in Xcode 26 — no retry on failure
Hi, I’m seeing an unexpected change in how XCTFail behaves in UI tests after updating Xcode. I use the following helper method: `func waitForExistance(file: StaticString, line: UInt) -> Self { if !(element.exists || element.waitForExistence(timeout: Configuration.current.predicateTimeout)) { XCTFail(couldn't find element: (element) after (Configuration.current.predicateTimeout) seconds, file: file, line: line) return self } else { return self } }` In Xcode 16.4, this worked as expected: – when an element wasn’t found, XCTFail was triggered, but the test continued running, allowing my retry logic to execute. After updating to Xcode 26.1 / 26.2 - the test now immediately aborts after XCTFail, without executing the next retry. The logs show: `t = 113.22s Tear Down t = 113.22s Terminate com.viessmann.care:81789 *** Assertion failure in -[UITests.Tests _caughtUnhandledDeveloperExceptionPermittingControlFlowInterruptions:caughtInterruptionException:whileExecutingBlock:], XCTestCase+Iss

Reply to Biometrics prompt + private key access race condition on since iOS 26.1
Well, that’s not good. I suggest you retry this on the current 26.3 beta, just in case. Assuming the problem shows up there as well, you should file a bug about it. Make sure to include a sysdiagnose log taken shortly after reproducing the problem, ideally as soon as you see the fuzzy screen you showed in your screenshot. Once you’re done, please post your bug number and I’ll take another look. At the API level, one option you have is to create an LAContext and pass it in to each SecItemCopyMatching call via kSecUseAuthenticationContext. It’s not clear whether you’re doing that or not. Please confirm either way. It’s also not clear if it’s even the right thing to do. This technique makes sense when the user performs a single high-level operation that requires multiple cryptographic operations with the same key. However, if the user performs two separate high-level operations back-to-back and that reproduces this issue, then trying to work around this using kSecUseAuthenticationContext isn’t really th

Reply to Nested RealityKit entity collisions priority
Hi @Vision Pro Engineer, thank you for your response. I followed the link you provided, and it worked! Thank you very much. ModelSortGroup is the solution. I won't be using ManipulationComponent because I need visionOS 2.0, but it's a very interesting component. That said, I encountered a problem with ModelSortGroup in my actual application, not the demo one (where my image comes from). I couldn't find any explanation, but using generateCollisionShapes(recursive: false) didn't work, whereas my spheres (which are real entities loaded from files) worked when I manually created the collision shape. I tried displaying the collision shapes using visionOS debugging, and both methods seemed to produce exactly the same collision shape, position, etc. Is there a logical explanation? Thanks for your help, it really solved my issue.

Reply to trapping specific standard system registers
I have filed FB21917334 Thanks! however not in a Hypervisor Framework category as it does not exist Virtualization is fine. But that’s not a problem; it’ll find its way to the right place. ps It’s better to reply as a reply, rather than in the comments; see Quinn’s Top Ten DevForums Tips for this and other titbits. Reply to Reproducible EXC_BAD_ACCESS in NEDNSProxyProvider when using async/await variants of NEAppProxyUDPFlow
OK, cool. Well, not cool, but you know what I mean (-: Given that you can reproduce this so easily, I recommend that you file a bug about it now. When doing that: Make sure to enable additional VPN logging, per the VPN (Network Extension) instructions on our Bug Reporting > Profiles and Logs page. After reproducing the problem, grab a sysdiagnose and attach it to your bug report. Once you’re done, post your bug number here. My plan is then to grab the crash report from your sysdiagnose log and dig a bit deeper. Misusing a Mutex
This is a successor to: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/814231 I went into a slightly different direction. I generated more AI slop that use NSLock. Then I had the NSLock usage changed to Mutex usage. Now it crashes with: Task 13: EXC_BREAKPOINT (code=1, subcode=0x18d29326c) On one of the mutex closures. "Notarization stuck in 'In Progress' for 15+ hours - submission e3dff14c-16ab-41a7-a81c-0d1774c66588"
Notarization submission has been stuck in In Progress status for over 15 hours with no resolution. Hi there, I am trying to roll out distribution to paid users who are unable to receive anything from me for quite some time now, and I've read that notarization is quick. But I've found myself to be under quite a delay. Wondering if I could please get some help. Error when updating system extension
I'm currently observing a problem similar to this thread https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/737334 The difference is that this is happening after updating a system extension. Basically same error, sysextd complains it can not check that the system extension is notarized: macOS Error 3 + Error code=-67050. I think macOS (Sequoia 15.3.2 or 15.7.2 if it matters) is wrong in this case for the following reasons: when using spctl assess -t install, the system extension is reported to be correctly notarized. when restarting the Mac, the updated system extension is correctly checked and staged. if I run spctl assess before sysextd tries to check the system extension, it works. I'm currently thinking of 2 reasons why the check does not work: sysextd is somehow trying to work with a cached assessment that has become invalid after the system extension was updated. macOS needs way more time between the update of the files and the request to update the staged extension. I tried adding a 5-second delay. Thi

Live Activities widget extension does not reflect updated SwiftUI UI (custom views/assets appear ignored)
Hello Apple Developer Technical Support, I’m following up on case #102807413324 and submitting this as a code-level support request. We are integrating iOS Live Activities (ActivityKit + WidgetKit extension written in SwiftUI) into an Expo/React Native app. We’re seeing behavior where the Live Activity UI shown on the Lock Screen appears to “stick” to an older layout and ignores updated SwiftUI code and/or bundled assets, even after rebuilding, reinstalling, and removing existing Live Activities before testing again. Environment Device: iPhone 13 iOS: 26.2 macOS: 15.7.3 (24G419) Xcode: 16.4 (16F6) Expo SDK: 52 React Native: 0.76.9 expo-live-activity: ^0.4.2 Build type: Ad-Hoc signed IPA (EAS local build) Summary We have a WidgetKit extension target (LiveActivity.appex, bundle id: stimul8.LiveActivity) using ActivityConfiguration(for: LiveActivityAttributes.self). The extension contains multiple SwiftUI views selected via a “route” (derived from deepLinkUrl / title / subtitle), and uses images/backgrounds from

(Xcode 26.0 → 26.2) Constant UI flickering in split view mode
Hello, I’ve been experiencing a persistent issue in Xcode since version 26.0, and it is still present in 26.2. When using the split view to display two files side by side, the area in the top‑right corner of the window (the inspector / options panel) starts flickering continuously. This happens regardless of whether I’m using the light or dark theme, and even with the Liquid Glass effect disabled in macOS settings. None of these changes have any impact on the issue. I have already submitted a bug report through Xcode (Feedback Assistant), but the issue is still present as of today. The flickering makes the interface difficult to use and visually very distracting. I’ve attached a video to clearly show the issue. I will review the attachment at the time I publish this post. Thanks in advance for any help or feedback. Reply to com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning missing in TestFlight build despite provisioning profile having it
Hi Quinn, Thank you for above pointers. Following it, I found that: The release entitlements file we were using (Ro_ _ IOSS_ _ _n.entitlements) did not include com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning, so the app never claimed it. That’s why App Store Connect flagged the entitlement as missing. **Fixes I made: ** a. Added this key (entitlement) to RoboIOSSiren.entitlements manually: com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning and updated aps-environment to production aps-environment production b. After (a) I did below in order: Clean + Archive In Xcode: Product > Clean Build Folder… Then: Product > Archive Verify entitlements in the archive In Organizer, select the new archive → Distribute App → Custom → App Store Connect → Export On the “Review IPA content” screen, confirm the entitlements list now includes: com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning Upload using Transporter Upload the exported .ipa with Transporter. Check App Store Connect Wait for processing and re-check the TestF

TestFlight install fails with “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist” after successful upload (Flutter app)
Hello, I’m facing an issue installing my app from TestFlight on a physical iPhone device.
