I need my apps able to push my LinkedIn profile using NFC, is it possible? I do not want the recipient device to be having my app installed.

Dear Community / Apple, I would like to ask in the name of many Smart Home Community, There is any developing / There is any future plan about make Apple Watches able to read NFC Tags / Stickers? Many of us would like to use Apple Watch to use Home Automations with NFC Stickers, but we have to use our iPhone instead of the Watch, what would be the most logical way to use these things. We does not really understand why this was not added by default, and why we cannot find any official information about this? Please provide us some answer, at least we should know should we still wait for this feature or this is not gonna be enabled by Apple?! Thank you very much, Gery
In Ios 18 beta the NFC not showing and also not working please can fix that
Hi All. iPhone XS and iPhone XS MAX both have NFC native for reading NFC tags. This is working in the US but not in Australia. I can't get an answer from Apple support, or engineering team. Thoughts as to why it doesn't work in Australia?
Did anybody encounter issues while doing an NFC tag reading, particularly on the Pro devices? Based on our statistics, almost half of the readings with iPhone 12 Pro failed, due to NFC tag connection issues. Please see below the failure rate: Top 3 devices: iPhone 12 Pro with 41,5% failure rate iPhone 11 Pro Max with 33,3% failure rate iPhone SE 2nd Gen with 25% failure rate If we take into consideration the deviation from expected value, see below: The following types had a higher error value than statistically expected when used significantly: iPhone 14 Pro iPhone 12 Pro iPhone 15 Pro The following types, on the other hand, had few to no reading errors with statistically relevant use: iPhone 14 iPhone 13 iPhone 13 Pro Max The essential questions are: What are the differences between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro in terms of NFC reading functionality? What are the differences between the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro in terms of NFC reading functionality? See list of d
Hi, I was using NFCNDEFReaderSessionDelegate at first to read and write the cards, but didDetect tags method did not detect any tag because my nfc tag is not pre-formatted, it was calling other delegate methods so I have my NFCNDEFReaderSessionDelegate setup correctly. Hence, I used NFCTagReaderSessionDelegate, didDetect tags method of NFCTagReaderSessionDelegate detected tag and the tag was not pre-formatted. The issue I have been facing is I am not able to write for the first time and getting an error Error Domain=NFCError Code=102 Tag Not NDEF formatted UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Tag Not NDEF formatted}. When I used another app from apple store to write data on the same tag which is not pre-formatted. Using that app, I am able to write the data on that tag. That app was using CoreNFC framework I believe, as it has NFC session alert which seems it was from apple library CoreNFC, so I assume that there must be a way to write the data on unformatted nfc tags. Do I have to use
I am on iPhone6s and can't be more excited about app clips, but unlike the NFC scan mode available for iPhone7-X I can't see any such options to use the NFC feature on my iPhone6s. That being said IOS14 being available on older models like iPhone6s, 6sPlus and not having the NFC feature is very disappointing. Will that feature be added in the upcoming betas of iOS 14?
Dear development team, it would be fantastic to be able to make smart automations by using NFC stickers with Apple Watch. This would make things much more easier if there are situations where you don't want to use Siri. Would be great to get a feedback.
Has anyone else had this issue? I made some Personal Automation shortcuts with NFC tags. Once I went to test them it would not read the tag. I tried on my friends device by setting up the whole thing and it worked fine. I am using an iPhone XR. Any ideas?
Does someone know how to avoid iPhone 12 and 13 NFC not detecting tag bug once scanning for very first time and also after scanning twice?
I'm designing a Bluetooth Low Energy accessory without a built-in display. According to the Bluetooth Core Specification (CSv5.0 | Vol. 3, Part H, Table 2.8), that limits pairing to Just Works pairing - which is unauthenticated and has no man-in-the-middle protection even with LE Secure Coonnections. However Section 2.3.5.4 (CSv5.0 | Vol. 3, Part H), states that an out-of-band pairing mechanism may be used to send the TK (temporary key) if both devices support it. That would provide authentication (i.e. MITM protection) beyond Just Works pairing. There are a number of white papers about implementing out-of-band pairing through the NFC radio (e.g. one from 2014 from the NFC Forum). So this is not a new concept. Searching through the forums, I have been unable to find a definitive answer as to whether or not iOS supports OOB pairing through NFC: This same question - https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/15286 was asked five years ago and unanswered. As of two years ago (which may
Hi,I have developped a short appli reading NDEF records on NFC tag. All is working fine, excepting scanning behaviour on iPhone :- How to increase scan Timeout of NFC ? It seems to be limited to 1 mn. I need to stop then restart scanning every minute...- Sometimes , RF field is lost whithout any logical reason. Have you already seen that ? Thx for any feedback.

We have an application that reads temperature from a device using NFC. We would like to continuously update this temperature on-screen while the user holds their phone in front of the device but this is not possible as the scanning sheet is blocking the view! Is there any way to disable this? I am not looking for background scanning as this relies on NDEF whereas this is a command driven application. I am developing using Xamarin for iOS 13 and above with NFC writing capabilites.
