Hello, When I try to install the iPadOS 17 public beta, my 32GB iPad says that it needs 13GB free to install the update! Is there a way to update to the beta without freeing up so much space? This is my main iPad so I don't want to reset it, but can I do it using Finder etc? Bye!

Calls to ExtAudioFileRead are throwing OSStatus 561145203 (AVAudioSessionErrorCodeResourceNotAvailable) on iOS and iPadOS 18 -- earlier versions of iOS have not exhibited this behavior. This is a longstanding code path that has seen a spike of these error codes since iOS 18's release. The following is also printed to the Xcode 16 console:
Launch Feedback Assistant, tap new feedback, select macOS - app crashes. This is true on all 3 platforms that I've tried: macOS Ventura beta 13.1 (22C5050e) iOS 16.2 (a) (20C5049e) iPadOS 16.2 (a) (20C5049e)
Is there a way I can download the latest apple developers beta software for both iPad and Apple Watch cause I have tried doing it from the official website and I cannot access it. please I need it that’s why and I am a developer and I am interested into using. I have it on the phone from last year but not on the iPad and watch.
I updated my iPad today to version 16.4 and now when I try to transfer my app from Xcode to the iPad I get the following error: Failed to prepare the device for development. This operation can fail if the version of the OS on the device is incompatible with the installed version of Xcode. You may also need to restart your Mac and device in order to correctly detect compatibility. My Xcode version is Version 14.2 (14C18). Does anyone know how I can resolve this. I was able to transfer the app earlier today before I updated the iPad version.

I'm building an app with Xcode 11 beta 4 to an iPad with iPadOS beta 4 installed on it; our xcassets' icon file has icons for all resolutions, and I have had no issues with this icon on iOS <13 devices. However, when I delete & rerun the app via Xcode, the app icon does not show and is replaced by the default app icon. Upon tapping the app, the icon flashes as the startup animation is run, and upon restarting the device the icon is properly displayed. Anyone else experiencing this/any tips?
I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 14.7.1 and my iPad Pro with iPadOS 15 public Beta 4. When i make a photo in my iPhone, then this photo is some seconds later in the iPad through the My Photostream feature. I open the Photos App and see these Photos in „Mediathek“ and in „My Photostream“. Now i create an e-mail and want to send this photo. But here in the selection box i can not find „My Photostream“ and i can not find „Mediathek“. I am not able to send this photos from my iPhone to anyone because i can not select it. Is this a new feature in iPadOS 15 Beta 4? (It did not work in Beta 2 and Beta 3 either) How does this work? What i do wrong? Do i need the latest beta on my iPhone, too, so that it works?
To adopt glass effect in custom view, we are using glassEffect modifier. It is working fine iOS26. However in iPadOS 26 beta 3, app is getting crash as soon as app launch. In iPad simulator it's working fine. Symbol not found: _$s7SwiftUI4ViewPAAE11glassEffect_2inQrAA5GlassV_qd__tAA5ShapeRd__lF
As has been discussed previously during iOS 14, the syntax of the WidgetBundleBuilder is such that it isn't possible to have any control logic. You can only list the widgets that you want to include. No if statements or other conditionals allowed. This is going to be a problem for supporting the new systemExtraLarge widget for my app in iPadOS 15. For configuration reasons, I have one widget for each size in my app currently: SmallWidget, MediumWidget, and LargeWidget. I can create an ExtraLargeWidget for iPadOS 15, but that causes a problem in iOS 14 because that widget can't be included and the WidgetBundle list is static. It seems that if you have multiple supportedFamilies (e.g. [.systemLarge, .systemExtraLarge]) in the widget, then the system works as expected and the extra large option just doesn't appear on iOS 14 or iPhone on iOS 15 but the rest do. However, for my case I can only specify one family per widget and when it doesn't exist on iOS 14, I have to set supportedFamilies = [].
Hi Community, I found an issue and wanted to ask you for confirmation... or help? (I will, if the issue persists or gets confirmed, of course file a bug report.) Context/Setup: macOS 15.5 Xcode 26 Beta 2 iPad Simulator, seems to be any, tested with Simulator iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) and Simulator iPad mini (A17 Pro) and also two physical iPads (mini and Pro) running iPadOS 26 Beta 2. Issue: In our project we are facing a runtime issue. Condensed down, when there is a storyboard with a UIToolbar (empty or with buttons) AND the project has the new UIDesignRequiresCompatibility set to true AND we run the app on an iPad (physical device or simulator)... As soon as the storyboard is loaded and about to be displayed the app crashes, console print: UIKitCore/UICoreHostingView.swift:54: Fatal error: init(coder:) has not been implemented Any iPhone (physical or simulator) works fine. Also with UIDesignRequiresCompatibility set to false it works everywhere including iPads. Minimum Deployment Target has between iO
Sorry for the bandwidth, solved it myself: My iPadPro was on iPadOs 13.6. After updating to iPadOs 13.7 uploading worked ok.

I have a UITableView based up. It is running fine on all iOS versions including 15.0. It is also running fine on all iPadOS versions up to 14.x. But only on iPadOS 15.0 it crashes with the following error message: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'unable to dequeue a cell with identifier TextCell - must register a nib or a class for the identifier or connect a prototype cell in a storyboard' Is this a know issue? How can I debug it to figure out where the problem lies? Note that I actually do register the NIB as follows in viewDidLoad: static NSString *reuseIdentifierTextCell = @TextCell; [self.tableView registerNib:[UINib nibWithNibName:@ChatTextCellCondensed bundle:nil] forCellReuseIdentifier:reuseIdentifierTextCell]; It is crashing at this line in cellForRowAtIndexPath: cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:reuseIdentifierTextCell forIndexPath:indexPath]; Thanks!
