App Review Rejection – Guideline 2.1: “Create PIN” Not Responsive on iPad (iPhone-Only App)
Hi everyone, I’m looking for clarification regarding an App Review rejection under Guideline 2.1 – Performance – App Completeness. Apple reported the following issue: Bug description: “Create PIN” button was not responsive Review device: iPad Air 11-inch (M3) OS version: iPadOS 26.2.1 What’s confusing is the following: Observed behavior on our side The app has been tested extensively on: Multiple iPhone models iPad devices (including recent iPadOS versions) In all our testing: The Create PIN button is responsive The tap action triggers correctly The flow completes without errors At this point, we are unable to reproduce the issue described by App Review on either iPhone or iPad. iPhone-only intent vs iPad review The app is designed and optimized for iPhone usage only. However, the review was performed on an iPad device. If an app is available for download on iPad, is it always expected to function fully on iPad regardless of being phone-optimized? If iPad support is not intended, is explicit

SWİFT STUDENT CHALLANGE iOS vers
I am currently developing my submission for the Swift Student Challenge 2026. My project focuses on financial literacy for children (Canteen Hero), and I want to ensure it runs flawlessly during the judging process. I have two specific questions regarding the environment: Which iOS/iPadOS version do judges typically use for testing? Should I assume they will be using the latest stable release (e.g., iOS 19/iPadOS 19) or a specific beta version? Device Compatibility: Is it a requirement to design the app for all previous iOS versions (backward compatibility), or is it acceptable to target only the latest APIs (iOS 18/19+) to utilize modern features like SwiftData and the latest SwiftUI animations? Thank you for your guidance!

Reply to evaluateJavaScript callback is significantly slow on macOS 26.2 for iOS App on Mac
I tried to reproduce this problem on macOS 26.2 (25C56) and iPadOS 26.2 (23C55) using Xcode 26.2 (17C52) and I was unable to reproduce this problem. For the very simple case I tried I'm seeing JavaScript execution times ~3-5ms, nothing near a full second. I'm interested in seeing if you're doing anything different than the sample I created. If you can provide a reproducible test case, maybe consider opening a code level support request (https://developer.apple.com/support/technical/).

Missing "Dolby Vision Profile" Option in Deliver Page - DaVinci Resolve 20 on iPadOS 26
Dear Support Team, I am writing to seek technical assistance regarding a persistent issue with Dolby Vision exporting in DaVinci Resolve 20 on my iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2021, M1 chip) running iPadOS 26.0.1. The Issue: Despite correctly configuring the project for a Dolby Vision workflow and successfully completing the dynamic metadata analysis, the Dolby Vision Profile dropdown menu (and related embedding options) is completely missing from the Advanced Settings in the Deliver page. My Current Configuration & Steps Taken: Software Version: DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 (Studio features like Dolby Vision analysis are active and functional). Project Settings: Color Science: DaVinci YRGB Color Managed. Dolby Vision: Enabled (Version 4.0) with Mastering Display set to 1000 nits. Output Color Space: Rec.2100 ST2084. Color Page: Dynamic metadata analysis has been performed, and Trim controls are functional. Export Settings: Format: QuickTime / MP4. Codec: H.265 (HEVC). Encoding Profile: Main 10. The Problem:

Reply to UITab memory leak
Moff, I confirm that on my side the unreleased reference also comes from _UIFloatingTabBarItemView. Richard, as to why my hack didn't work for Moff, it is definitely related to the version of iPadOS. iPadOS 18.7.1 (physical iPad): there is an additional unreleased reference to the tab bar view controller from a _UIFloatingTabBarItemCell. However my hack works. iPadOS 26.2 (simulator): there's only one reference from a _UIFloatingTabBarItemView, exactly as you described (same memory graph as yours). And indeed my hack doesn't work I hope the issue will be fixed for both versions of iPadOS. Please keep us posted here.

App Launchscreen Size NOT Correct on iPadOS 26
Hello, We’re seeing an iPad-specific Launch Screen issue related to multitasking window sizes. Environment Device: iPad (iPadOS 26) Device orientation: Landscape App is launched in a small window where the app window is portrait-shaped (width < height) Issue When the iPad is in landscape but the app is launched as a portrait-shaped small window, the LaunchScreen.storyboard appears to be rendered/layouted as landscape, not matching the actual window geometry. As a result, the Launch Screen content is clipped / partially missing (we see blank/empty area at the bottom during launch). After the app finishes launching, our first view controller uses the correct window size and the UI looks fine — the problem is mainly during the Launch Screen phase. What we checked LaunchScreen.storyboard uses Auto Layout and is expected to adapt to screen/window size. This only reproduces when the device orientation and the app window aspect ratio don’t match (landscape device + portrait-shaped app window, or vice ver

Reply to Guided Access - Detect when setup (Eyes + Hands) is done
Hi @StudioNeueMuseen In the meantime, I recommend manually starting the experience. We recently published Connecting iPadOS and visionOS apps over the local network. You can use a similar approach to: Start the app for the participant after you (verbally/manually) confirm they successfully completed gaze enrollment. Reset the experience if you determine the participant accidentally started the app before completing gaze enrollment.

WKWebView + Bluetooth Keyboard: Ctrl+Home / Ctrl+End causes app crash after input blur (iPadOS 18.4.1 / 18.6.2)
1. Summary In a hybrid iOS app using WKWebView (Angular + Capacitor), after programmatically blurring an element and connecting a Bluetooth keyboard, pressing Ctrl+Home or Ctrl+End causes the app to crash. The crash stack shows the issue occurs inside UIKit keyboard handling (UITextInteractionSelectableInputDelegate _moveToStartOfLine), indicating a system-level bug. 2. Steps to Reproduce Open the hybrid app containing a WKWebView. Blur the input (programmatically). Connect a Bluetooth keyboard. Press Ctrl + Home or Ctrl + End. Expected result: No crash. The command should be ignored if no text input is active. Actual result: App crashes immediately. 3. Crash Log (Crashlytics Trace) Crashed: com.apple.main-thread 0 WebKit 0xfbdad0 + 236 1 UIKitCore 0x10b0548 -[UITextInteractionSelectableInputDelegate _moveToStartOfLine:withHistory:] + 96 2 UIKitCore 0xd0fb38 -[UIKBInputDelegateManager _moveToStartOfLine:withHistory:] + 188 3 UIKitCore 0xa16174 __158-[_UIKeyboardStateManager handleMoveCursorToStartOfLine:befo

Reply to M4 iPadOS stuck at Apple Logo on reboot.
I had the same problem with my M2 iPad Air, and ChatGPT told me to do this instantly worked. but you have to follow the instructions Yes — here’s the clean, repeatable fix for an iPad stuck in a reboot loop (Apple logo → restarts → logo again). Start at Step 1 and only move on if it doesn’t work. ⸻ Step 1 — Force restart (fastest, safest) This fixes temporary system crashes. If your iPad has Face ID (no Home button): 1. Quickly press Volume Up → release 2. Quickly press Volume Down → release 3. Press and HOLD Power 4. Keep holding until you see the Apple logo, then let go If your iPad has a Home button: 1. Hold Home + Power together 2. Keep holding until the Apple logo appears 👉 If it boots normally, you’re done. ⸻ Step 2 — Recovery Mode (most common real fix) Use this if it keeps looping. What you need • A Mac or Windows PC • A cable • Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows / older macOS) Steps 1. Connect iPad to the computer 2. Force-restart but DO NOT release when the Apple logo appears 3. Keep holding until you

Reply to Non-consumable IAP app rejected: Pro auto-unlocked for pre-1.0.5 paid users, App Review asks for expired subscription account
Follow-up / Update Update: New rejection – “Unlock Pro not responsive” on iPad, cannot reproduce locally I wanted to provide an update, as the app was rejected again after addressing the previous feedback. New rejection details Apple now reports the following issue: Guideline 2.1 – Performance – App Completeness Bug description: “Unlock Pro is not responsive” Steps to reproduce (per review): Tap “Unlock Pro” No action occurs Review device: iPad Air (5th generation) OS: iPadOS 26.2.1 This is confusing because: The app works correctly on my devices I tested the full purchase flow successfully: on physical iPhone in the iOS Simulator even on an iPad simulator The StoreKit purchase sheet appears as expected when tapping “Unlock Pro” I followed Apple’s advice to: uninstall previous versions reinstall fresh test upgrade paths I still cannot reproduce a state where tapping “Unlock Pro” does nothing. Important technical detail (possible cause) Looking closer at my implementation, I realized there is a silent

Reply to screenshot on iOS26
Hello junichi7, I'm happy to have helped you find a working solution! Just one more suggestion about your code- since your app is for iPadOS, it is not recommended for you to fetch the first window of the first window scene and assume it is the current window scene. Because users might be running multiple instances of your app, with potentially multiple windows open for each instance (even if your app doesn't explicitly support multiple scenes), you want to think beyond the very first window scene of the app instance. Rather, it is more useful to consider where is your window scene in the view hierarchy. You would do this by fetching the context of the view relevant to your code- in this case, the view you would like to screenshot. That context is vital for your code to understand which UIWindowScene or UIScreen it is related to. With that context, you can then get the window scene via view.window.windowScene or a similar property. For example, if your app has a presenter layer that calls captureScre
