Reply to Apple Pencil won’t write
Same issue here. I’m actually on the beta 11.1 b4. I am using an iPad Pro 12.9 first gen with an Apple Pencil. Most of my pencil work is done primarily using the procreate and concepts apps. The lag issue is VERY BAD on those two apps. It def has something to do with the Palm detection tech. I really hope Apple can rectify this situation as soon as possible. I understand there’s not too many people who use the iPad professionally but I’m sure Apple likes to know that it is possible. With this issue, using the iPad professionally is not a viable option really. Also this seems to go against the perception from Apple that the iPad can truly replace a laptop or desktop. I really hope Apple takes this seriously as it could absolutely affect the decision for other to keep purchasing iPad pros. I have faith in the Brand and product but this issue really should have been rectified much sooner. Regardless, I hold out hope that a fix is on its way soon.

Reply to After Installing MacOS Big Sur latest beta update, My mac is showing battery service required warning in battery Icon.
Same problem here Macbook Pro 2017 Never had any battery problems, was holding very good charge, always kept on the optimised battery charging & manage longevity settings, never plugged in for long periods etc. ...a few days after Big Sur update, now my laptop is stuck on 1% battery, won't charge and says it needs a service. Totally useless as a laptop. Apple, this is criminal.

Can we charge users to access beta?
We are looking to run a closed beta for our app - however what we are selling is premium video content, bought using an in-app currency. My question is, are we allowed to charge people outside of the app (e.g. through our website) to be part of the beta, whereby they get a testflight invitation and a certain amount of in-app currency. i.e. completely circumventing the app store at this stage. Down the line users will be able to purchase the in-app currency through the app or through our website. We're aware of guideline 3.1.1, Apps may not include buttons, external links, or other calls to action that direct customers to purchasing mechanisms other than IAP. - which we are not in violation of by doing this.We more wondered if anyone had experience doing something similar and being explicitly forbidden to do so during beta since in-app purchase do not cost during beta, yet we are in a way, getting around this matter. Thanks

Reply to Scrolling with Apple Pencil does not work in 9.3.
Just found the same problem. Can't scroll or swipe using pencil with iOS 9.3 beta. I've sent feedback on this. Major inconvenience since it significantly reduces the benefits of using the pencil. I hope it's just a bug...... I don't see a fix anywhere so may also role back to 9.2. Disappointing but I do recognise it is a beta.p.s. Rolled back to 9.2 and all back to normal and working again.

iOS 14 Developer Preview 1 - Wireless Charging Problem
Is anyone else experiencing issues with wireless charging with the iOS 14 DP1? Since installing it, wireless charging doesn't work. The battery charge indicator turns green, but the iPhone itself isn't charging. I find I have to turn off the iPhone for it to begin charging. When I turn it off, the even stranger thing is the iPhone doesn't turn back on when getting the charge. It is charging, however, because when I push the power button to turn it on, the battery capacity has increased. Occuring on an iPhone II Pro Max.

Reply to Split payments to subscribers
Hello @nadavmodern. I'm not involved with the business side of apps, so take this as a layperson's view of things, and not as official Apple guidance: You may want to reconsider how you are providing your content if you're concerned that your customers will take all of it up front and cancel their membership. Either you charge up front for the full service, or you charge monthly and provide the service over the time they're signed up. There is no four easy payments option for In App Purchase. Customers are buying the service, the access, the information, or what-have-you. If it costs $100, you would charge $100. You can't charge $100, paid monthly. If you want to charge monthly, then provide your service monthly and end it if they cancel the service. If the value is the content, charge for the content. If the value is the trainers and more, charge for the trainers and more. I suggest reading Auto-renewable subscriptions, which does a real

Reply to Drawing app using Metal slows down as screen fills up
I may be a bit naive, MoreLighnting, on the subject you are referring to. First I accept that I am probably only 10% there with my app. I have a grand idea for it, but I know deep down that I need a developer who can rewrite the entire thing and make it shine because my coding skills are not that great. There are too many things I just don't understand. So for now if I can get it working and doing everything that I need it to, then at least I have a working prototype that I can then hand over to an experienced and qualified professional to make it what it needs to be. That is my hope. I have been stashing away money for this very purpose. Finding a developer though for me is a scary process. But that will be my next step. As for my naivety, what I mean by that is I have never heard of health issues related to the Apple Pencil. What are those issues? It is something that has never crossed my mind. I am an artist by trade and have been very happy with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil

Reply to Can't use sidecar
I just found this list from a 3rd party site. The iPad Mini 4 appears to have dropped off the list. It was working fine in the first iPadOS beta. I wish Apple had given us some notice so I could have stopped wasting my time.iPads that support SidecarTo use Sidecar with your iPad, your tablet must support either the first- or second-generation Apple Pencil. Ios 14.1 battery drain and incredibly slow charging
Since i updated to ios 14.1 last week it has become impossible almost to get my iphone xs max to charge back to levels above 60%. And it charges so slow, so slow. I have of cource checked cable, pulled a new one out but nothing changed. I am lucky if i get it above 60. Where an hour charge would get me a near fully charged phone i now have it on charging for an hour and it charges like 20% more. but the biggest issue is how fast battery gets drained, i can hardly have a call of an hour without having to charge. My batt life and max capacity are 97%, should be okay. i had a 👍 phone untill 14.1. Something went wrong with this ios. I noticed in apps using battery that notes, which i usually have in the background now uses up to 56% of battery (of course i closed but that is not okay either).
