Navigation bar fade breaks when using .ignoresSafeArea() on inverted ScrollViews in iOS 26
I’m seeing a strange visual bug in iOS 26 when building chat-style UIs that use an inverted ScrollView or List (via .rotationEffect(.radians(.pi)) and .scaleEffect(x: -1, y: 1)) to anchor messages at the bottom. When I add .ignoresSafeArea() to let the chat bleed behind the navigation bar - the new navigation bar fade (that subtle top-to-bottom gradient Apple added in iOS 26) behaves incorrectly. Instead of fading from the top of the screen toward the nav bar, it fades upward from the bottom of the view, effectively covering the entire screen with the gradient. This only happens when the view is inverted. If I remove .ignoresSafeArea(), the fade looks correct — but then my chat no longer extends behind the nav bar. It looks like the fade effect is being applied in the transformed coordinate space of the inverted scroll view rather than in visual screen space. I haven’t found a reliable workaround besides disabling the fade (which isn’t really possible). Has anyone found a p

Reply to Xcode build running into issues
Thanks for the post. I understand that you are encountering difficulties with your iOS build process. To assist you in troubleshooting and potentially resolving these issues, I recommend following a systematic approach: Update Xcode: Verify that Xcode is configured to utilize the most recent iOS 26 versions. Xcode 26.1 is the latest release at this time I believe. Update macOS: Ensure that macOS has also been updated to enable Xcode functionality. Examine Error Messages: Carefully review the error messages you are encountering. They can provide valuable insights into the underlying causes of the issues. Identify Specific Warnings or Errors: Look for any specific warnings or errors related to SDK mismatches, missing frameworks, or build settings. Please provide the error messages here. Please specify the simulator you are using. Please provide any specific error messages or additional context you can offer, and I will be happy to provide more targeted advice. Albert Pascual

Reply to Widget with Core Data guidance
Yes, I do believe a widget similar to the clock widget would definitely serve my purposes. And I see that widget works on iOS 15 and 18+ which is also what I want Is there an example app that Apple has that shows how to create that list within the widget? I may need to read through more doc's to learn how to do this. Thanks so much for your answer!

Validation error, when I try to upload a game to Testflight
Hello everyone and thank you for you're time! I got an issue with uploading several icons to testflight. I'm using Game Maker Studio as my engine for the game. This is the error that I'm getting, even when I try to use the old icons for the game, that worked in the past. I tried to transform the icons, using this site https://makeappicon.com/, but I still got the same validation error. Can you help me fixing the issue - thank you so much!

Storefront Country Code Inaccuracy on iOS 18
I am currently developing a feature to support global privacy compliance, which relies on accurately obtaining the user’s App Store country/region. Based on this country/region information, out App dynamically display privacy policies that comply with local regulations. To retrieve this information, I use the relevant StoreKit APIs. API usage examples: Objective-C: NSString *countryCode = [SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue].storefront.countryCode; Swift let storefront = await Storefront.current let code = storefront?.countryCode However, during sandbox account testing on iOS 18.0 and above, I noticed that the returned country code does not match the actual country/region configured in the sandbox Apple ID. This issue does not occur on systems below iOS 18.0, where the country code returned by the API matches the account setting. Since this discrepancy can directly affect the accuracy of our compliance logic, I would appreciate your clarification on the following points: Is this a known change in b

Email with attachment > 3 MB remains stuck in Outbox when sent via MFMailComposeViewController on iPadOS 26.0.1
I’m seeing a strange behaviour when sending mail from my app with MFMailComposeViewController. If the attachment is larger than about 3 MB, the message is created but then remains stuck in Outbox on my iPad running iPadOS 26.0.1. If I open the stuck draft in Outbox and tap Send immediately, the message is sent successfully. If I wait for a while before resending, the attachment shrinks to a few hundred bytes and the resend goes out without the file (I think the truncation is related to the MIME type, because it is not happening always). This happens only on the iPad: iPhone 16 on iOS 26.0.1 – message sends normally iPhone XR on iOS 18.7.1 – message sends normally iPad on iPadOS 26.0.1 – message remains stuck in Outbox with attachments over ~3 MB Mail settings: default iCloud account (also tried explicit setPreferredSendingEmailAddress(…@icloud.com)), Low Power Mode and Low Data Mode are off. Has anyone else encountered this behavior on iPadOS 26, or found a reliable workaround? Here’s the mi

Custom USB Network Device Driver on iPhone
Hi, We are using the AX88772C as a USB->Ethernet bridge in a product we are developing. Due to the chip not following the NCM protocol, it is not supported by the default networking drivers on the iPhone. Initially, we intended on using DriverKit to develop a userspace driver for this device. However, we have been informed DriverKit is only available on iPad OS, not iOS. As such is the case, we have found two possible alternatives. First being IOkit, and the second being External Accessory Session (EASession). What are the limitations of each of these options? We need the ability to send and receive USB packets to Control and Bulk endpoints. Is this possible with either of the options defined above? Would either of these options require the device to be MFi certified? We have read that some APIs within IOkit require the apple device to be jailbroken. Is there a list of features that can be used without a jailbroken device? Documentation on these 2 options is limited, so any official documentation

SwiftUI issue with onTap using Map using IOS 26
I have a sample that stop working on IOS 26, using the latest XCode and IOS sdk, the onTapGesture event is no longer happening. Maybe this is no longer the way to drop pins on the map. Also not working on the iPhone 17 sim or iPhone 16 max pro device upgrading to IOS 26 Thanks, any help Sample: import SwiftUI import MapKit import CoreLocation import Foundation struct Pin: Identifiable { let id = UUID() let coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D } struct ContentTestPinDropView: View { @State private var pins: [Pin] = [] var body: some View { MapReader { reader in Map(selection: .constant(nil)) { ForEach(pins) { pin in Marker(Pin, coordinate: pin.coordinate) } } .onTapGesture { screenPoint in if let coordinate = reader.convert(screenPoint, from: .local) { pins.append(Pin(coordinate: coordinate)) } } } } }

Reply to Wifi Aware iOS devices authentication fails after a period of time
Hey @DTS Engineer no a sample project in general. The documentation simply can't be called a project. I suppose a sample application project showing iOS<>iOS will be fine too but a complete project which can be used. I am asking for such a project since it would be much easier to replicate issues on Apple end with a project that was already built by Apple. We can easily drop in issues and discuss the exact places. And since you requested that i suppose it's a good time to touch on this.

iOS 26 - Widget not updated with respect to main app's system preferred language
Hi, My iOS app's home screen widget content was implemented to base on the preferred language of my main app (e.g. my app has the following preferred language options with this order English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Simplify Chinese). Say the main app is currently using English as their preferred language, I can change the preferred language in the iOS Settings -> Apps -> My App -> Preferred Language. My widget's content will respect to the preferred language option that I selected with only exception if I switch back to English language and my Widget's content won't get updated. The Main app content is always update with respect to the selected preferred language. My app and widget is working without any issue in iOS 18. Other things that I had discovered during my testing under iOS 26, the first language appeared in my preferred language always being the issue (e.g. if the first language is Japanese , once I change to other languages and than switc

Reply to iOS 26.1 beta Safari audio input is broken
Same issue, I’ve tried many different websites that use the microphone and they all have the same issue now. I have a small test webpage that I’m using now, I’m going to try it in Xcode simulator on previous iOS versions to confirm… but it’s a pretty consistent/reproducible; hopefully the dev team gets a fix in.

What is the time frame on fixing this issue?
The issue of fixed elements with { bottom: 0 } moving up when scrolling still persists. It seems to be a general issue with the IOS 26 release. It affects other browser too. I tested on browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Bravo. With the exception of Edge, all the others display the behavior. Device: iPhone 15 Pro IOS Version: 26.0.1
