Gambling apps are not forbidden nor censored but strictly controlled. See guidelines 5.1.1: (ix) Apps that provide services in highly regulated fields (such as banking and financial services, healthcare, gambling, legal cannabis use, and air travel) or that require sensitive user information should be submitted by a legal entity that provides the services, and not by an individual developer. Do you know if those apps follow those rules ? If you know they don't (but how could you ?), you could file a bug report.

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account based.
Hello, My app has gotten rejected because of guideline 5.1.1. My app required an account and a subscription to be used. Can someone please let me know how they were able to get approved? Would adding Apple sign in work? Would letting the user browse the empty app work? They cant of anything without a subscription so I don’t know why this is getting declined. I’ve asked if any of them would comply but the reviewer says they won’t offer any suggestions on app design, when that wasn’t the question. I just wanted to know if anything would make the app comply before I waste my time implementing anything.

IOS : App rejected for violating location new Guidelines
Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness Your app did not load its contents and the activity indicator spun indefinitely when we tapped Don't Allow when prompted for permission to use current location. If location information is required, it is necessary to display a notification or alert indicating this requirement. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to either enable functionality when a user opts out of providing location information or include an alert that this information is required. Resources For more information on Location Services, please review the section, Determining Whether Location Services are Available in the Location and Maps Programming Guide. For a networking overview, review About Networking. Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed We’re looking forward to reviewing your app, but we were unable to sign in with the following demo account credentials you provided in App Store Connect: User name: 8015965494 Password: 8015965494 To avoid delays in App Review, it is esse

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Hi, I have an issue with App submission. My flow is: show third party cookie consent banner (is an external SDK) show ATT Apple with this message Allowing tracking will enable more personalized ads for you. Apple says this: You collect data to track after the user selects Ask App Not to Track on the App Tracking Transparency permission request. Specifically, we noticed the app accesses web content you own and collects cookies for tracking after the user asked you not to track them. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise the app so that you do not collect data for tracking purposes if the user does not give permission for tracking. Alternatively, if you do not collect cookies for tracking purposes, revise the cookie prompts that appear in the app to clarify you do not track users. in the rejection they put the ATT alert and the third party banner as the screen Do you have any input on this as Apple never says things clearly about what the problem is. Thank you

Rejected due to having User Registration to use the App
Hello, I have been stumped on this issue for a week and am looking for guidance on how to resolve it. I am aware of Guideline 5.1.1 Legal: Privacy - Data Collection and Storage and have read through it. The core functionality of our app is a Message Chatbot. This is the only feature we have, and we require user registration to limit the number of messages that can be sent on the free tier. However, despite explaining why we need user registration and pointing to a number of very similar apps that have the exact same registration system, we are not able to get approval from the App Reviewers. Their message is: To resolve this issue, please revise the app to let users freely access the app's features that are not account-based. The problem is that we do not have any other features in our app, so we are stuck. I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues and what they did to fix it? Thank you!

How to get around asking for DOB
We are trying to publish a peer to peer sharing app. Our T&C's require the users to be at least 18 years old since there is legality around the agreements between users. Apple keeps kicking this back and stating we should not ask them their age. How do we get around this? Here's what they keep referencing: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage 5.1.1(v) Account Sign-In If your app doesn’t include significant account-based features, let people use it without a login. If your app supports account creation, you must also offer account deletion within the app. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. If your core app functionality is not related to a specific social network (e.g. Facebook, WeChat, Weibo, Twitter, etc.), you must provide access without a login or via another mechanism. Pulling basic profile information, sharing to the social network, or

Publishing App for Third Parties
I work for a company that provides services implementing, maintaining, and publishing systems for municipalities. We have now developed an app for a municipality, but when trying to publish it, Apple is rejecting it, stating that we cannot publish on behalf of another company. On the first submission, they rejected it with: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles Sistema da Prefeitura without the necessary authorization. Next Steps Please demonstrate your relationship with any third-party brand owners represented in the app. We obtained a digitally signed document from the municipality stating that we are responsible for their systems, authorizing everything, etc... We made a new submission for review. However, it was now rejected with: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with

Reply to Feedback form
Feedback is critical, Critical to you or to the user ? 2 thoughts: In Europe you have to comply with GDPR regulation on privacy See guideline 5.1.1 (ii) Permission: Apps that collect user or usage data must secure user consent for the collection, even if such data is considered to be anonymous at the time of or immediately following collection. Paid functionality must not be dependent on or require a user to grant access to this data. Apps must also provide the customer with an easily accessible and understandable way to withdraw consent. Ensure your purpose strings clearly and completely describe your use of the data. Apps that collect data for a legitimate interest without consent by relying on the terms of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or similar statute must comply with all terms of that law. App Rejection Guideline 5.1.1 (ix) - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storag
Apple Rejection as Follows The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with the organization or company providing the services. In this case, the app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the OrthoCare Institute name. The guideline 5.1.1(ix) requirements give users confidence that apps operating in highly regulated fields or that require sensitive user information are qualified to provide these services and will responsibly manage their data. Next Steps from Apple The app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the OrthoCare Institute name. If you have developed this app on behalf of a client, you may resubmit the app through their account, if they have one. You may also request an update to the company name on your account by having the Account Holder edit the account information. Please note that you cannot resolve this issue with documentation showing permission to publish this app on behalf of the content

Note that I use flutter Every time I submit a review request , I receive only this answer, knowing that what was mentioned is not in the application and I reviewed the packages and there is no package belonging to this Hello, The issues we previously identified still need your attention. App getting rejected for Guideline 5.1.1 and am unable to understand why
Hello, My team and I are trying to publish an app (It's our first time doing this). The app allows users to purchase self-guided tours using in-app purchases. Users can browse, find tours and see a preview of a tour without registration. However we require registration for the in-app purchase as this is linked to a user account. This is because there is a possibility that someone has bought a tour on an android device and is coming here plus this is the only way that we can enable the users to recover their account if they lose their device so it seems like a logical thing to do right? We only require an email ID and password and not a lot of info for registering. We have tried to explain this multiple times but this is the response we get: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We noticed that your app requires users to register with personal information to purchase in-app purchase products that are not account based. Apps cannot require user registration prior to allowing a

Apple rejected with 5.1.1 collect data
After I submitted our app, it was rejected with reasons: `Regarding 5.1.1, the following fields or actions are required for registration but do not appear to be directly relevant to your app’s core functionality: Thai National ID Phone number. To resolve this issue, it would be appropriate to either remove all required fields that are not relevant to the app or make those fields optional.` I need the two fields above. How can I resolve it? I asked reviewer but they said they cannot help detail feature for us. About phone numbers, our system wants to send SMS to them, change passwords, and send notification. Step: (edit profile -> edit phone number -> verify OTP) to change password you can check it. About Thai National ID, do you think it can be suitable when we use it for KYC, and verify customers? Actually, when the user registers a new account, if we do not approve the account, means KYC is unsuccess, the user will not use any main features (Saving and interest pay invoice). We are using Thai
