Rejection of VPN App for Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone, We are currently facing a frustrating situation: we are trying to publish an app that enables VPN connection with our platform, which is offered exclusively to our clients. However, our app is being repeatedly rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. To clarify, this VPN app is strictly for enterprise use and only operates in specifically provisioned environments. It is not a generic VPN client and cannot function outside of its intended context. Authorship: The entire codebase is original and exclusive. The only third-party dependencies are: WireGuardKit: used for establishing the VPN tunnel (WireGuard protocol). ZIPFoundation: used for compression and decompression of packages. Uniqueness: No other VPN app on the market works with our solution. The only thing in common with some is the use of the WireGuard protocol. Our app includes an agent that reports device information to our platform for security policy evaluation and access control. It uses entirely proprietary authent

Thank you for your post. There are several factors that may contribute to an app not following App Review Guideline 4.3. Typically, these apps share a similar binary, metadata, and overall concept as apps already on the App Store, with only minor differences. If you have questions about App Review's review of your app, we recommend requesting an appointment with App Review during the bi-weekly Meet with Apple event. Sign in with your Developer account ID and select App Review Appointment. A member of the App Review team will help you with your questions regarding the review process and the App Review Guidelines. Appointments are subject to availability during your local business hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Spam Design
Hi. My friend and I are new to app developing. We made an app together and I made one alone on the side. But we are not joined. we each pay seperate taxes and not some scam design post of apps. Apple flagged both with spam design, so we assumed it was related. but not sure anymore. app1 is a travel related app operating globally. we have IAP but also destination inspiration and global food information, which is free in the app. app2 is about one single country and has a lot of information about travelling in that country and some IAP too. IAP in both apps are the same product, but unique in appstore. it only exists on websites apart from these two apps. both are made in adalo so even though the colours are different they are made in the same system. In app1 IAP is the main product, in app2 its not. we have tried so much to get app1 through but they keep rejecting with spam design. After a while they suddenly approved app2, after renaming it, changing colours and highlighting the information about the country

Rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) after legal doc request
Hi everyone, We’re a U.S.-registered company and just submitted our primary app for review. We tried to be proactive: our initial submission included very detailed Notes to the Reviewer to avoid back-and-forth. Despite that, our first rejection asked for items we had already covered in Notes. Within ~30 minutes we replied in the Resolution Center with expanded details. The app went back to review and about 90% of the concerns were resolved. After that, we could see from our logs that the reviewer actively tested the app and requested additional legal documentation. We provided everything promptly, but the next response was a rejection under Guideline 4.3(a) – Design – Spam. There was no additional explanation tying 4.3(a) to anything specific in our binary or metadata, and this guideline hasn’t come up for us before. Here’s what we already provided via the Resolution Center: Test credentials and clear steps to access all app areas Detailed terms and in-app disclosures Executed agreements wit

Rejected for Guideline 4.3a - Spam and Account Termination because of that
Hello, I am a solo game developer with four years of experience, and I have recently decided to publish my games on the Apple App Store to bring a fresh vibe and address some issues I noticed in my game genre. I create games from scratch, often combining two genres to create unique experiences. One example is my electric car driving simulator, which includes unique systems like temperature-affected battery range, dynamic weather, a battery company management feature, police escape missions, and more. (Electric car games are not very common on the App Store, and mine stands out with these innovative features.) However, I’ve been facing issues when trying to publish my games. Since I began submitting my games, I’ve received repeated 4.3 Design Spam rejections. Whenever I request concrete feedback to understand the reasons behind these rejections, I consistently get the same general response about binary data, metadata, or game concepts. Recently, I was notified that my account is going to be suspended

Title: App Rejected (4.3(a) - Design Spam)
Hi everyone, I would like to ask for help how should I resolve the issue with app submission for Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. I will explain my case to you. I assigned a task to junior engineer to submit an app from a personal developer account because my organization account has not been available yet. I thought I could be transfer later or resubmit under different bundle id and account would be okay. yes, it was my fault . But the app review process was taking too long in the personal account and I told him to cancel and delete the app submission, thinking that there might be not issue since the app was not released in AppStore. After I submitted the updated version of app with organization account, it doesn't get approve and getting 4.3.0 Spam rejection. We have taken about 6 months of work putting all the efforts both in the technical and business side on the product from scratch. We are about to launch in next week and our app is got rejected. I don't know what to do. I've all the authority

Guidance on App Review Board Appeal - No Response After Two Weeks
Hello everyone, I'm seeking some advice and perspective from the community regarding an appeal I've submitted to the App Review Board. My app, (App ID: 6748638280), was recently rejected under Guideline 4.3 - Spam. We believe this was a misunderstanding, as our app is a highly specialized academic tool for the study of Qimen Dunjia (奇門遁甲), a complex form of ancient Chinese metaphysics. It is a professional calculation engine, not a generic fortune-telling app. We submitted a detailed appeal to the App Review Board two weeks ago, explaining the unique, academic nature of our app and providing a link to a demo video that showcases its innovative features (like its real-world compass integration and its unique data visualization system). As of today, we have not yet received a response. I completely understand that the review process takes time, and I want to be respectful of the board's workload. However, I'm starting to wonder if this length of time without a reply is normal for an appeal. I would be

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hi all, I'm looking for guidance or experiences from others who’ve run into this issue. I'm developing a series of educational apps that teach different languages from English, using a simple flashcard-based format. Each app is fully offline, has no ads, no subscriptions, and contains native audio and culturally relevant images for that specific language. Each language pack (audio + images + data) is around 50MB, and I’m planning to support 50 languages. Because of size constraints and my offline-first approach, it’s not feasible to combine all languages into a single app. To stay user-friendly and efficient: Each app contains only one language. Each has its own name and icon (e.g., “Babel Bash Chinese ”, “Babel Bash Thai”). All use the same visual structure (by design) for brand consistency and usability. Despite this, I’ve had an app rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) – Spam, with the reasoning that it duplicates the functionality of another app I've submitted (even though the language, audio, and vis

Reply to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Guideline 4.3 is pretty explicit: Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. That seem to be precisely your case. Another thought: I don't know if it is the cause, but there is a Babbel app to train for foreign languages. The name of your app appears pretty close to it.

As a Chinese person, I feel that I have been discriminated against by Apple's review process.
We have developed an app called FastUP, which has been constantly reminding us of 4.3(a). We have uploaded the original evidence of the developed code and UI design drafts, but it still keeps giving us this problem. There will be no manual response and no consideration of our explanations. It always just reacts mechanically. This is a repetitive application. Could you please explain how to apply it repeatedly when our code is original and the UI is also original? Is it possible that there can only be one tool-type app in the AppStore? ? Every time during the process of applying for the phone communication, we were told there was no problem, but they still gave us incorrect information and kept deceiving us. Is this not discrimination against us just because we applied for the Chinese voice phone service?

Reply to Urgent Help Needed: Apple Developer Account Deleted Due to App Name Similarity Issue
I received a notification that my account will be marked for deletion after 30 days, even though I have no connection or affiliation with any other account that was previously removed for violations. Apple claims that I am involved in manipulation or have links to a violating account, but I genuinely have no idea what this is about. My app was published on the App Store for over two months without issues. However, after submitting an update, it was suddenly rejected under Guideline 4.3 (Spam). All previous updates were approved normally, and I did not make any significant changes that would justify this rejection. I feel this is a misunderstanding and would appreciate clarification. I’m a legitimate developer and just want to understand what went wrong.
