Cannot remove old app
Hi, posting here since I cannot get in touch with anyone through Support. I've sent few requests in a week but never heard back. I am trying to get the app 6745905294 approved from the Review team. The last blocker is that This app duplicates the content and functionality of other apps on the App Store This turns out to be because I used to have this app under a different team 3 years ago (app number 1592985083). The app was already out of the store in a long time since I didn't renew that team membership but apparently that's not enough. The Review team suggested me to Remove the old app. But...I can't. Please see the screenshot attached Any idea what can I do? I am completely blocked. I want to submit the app in the store with the new team I am in. The Review team says it can't help me. The Appstore Connect Support team doesn't reply Thanks, Alessandro

Age verification again: What does "applicable region" mean wrt isEligibleForAgeFeatures
The documentation for isEligibleForAgeFeatures states: Use this property to determine whether a person using your app is in an applicable region that requires additional age-related obligations for when you distribute apps on the App Store. But what does "region" mean? Is this going to return true if the user has downloaded the app from the US App Store? Or will it go further and geolocate the user and identify them as being within a particular relevant state within the US?

Demo Content or Not for Submission
Hello. We've developed a compatibility engine for the App Store. We collect very detailed profile information from users and use this information to dynamically calculate compatibility scores with the help of AI, recommending users to each other. The app is newly completed and we don't have any real users yet. My questions are: We are at the initial approval stage, Should we submit a completely empty application, or will the reviewer account create accounts with matching genders? Should we create one or more fake users? We have profiles that we created as demos (to inspire users) and indicated with a badge as "demo"s, but these don't appear in the "Explore" section. Should we add these people to the explore section? Assuming the people appearing in the explore section are demos, should the "request to meet" button be active for these demo content? Should it be possible to chat with demo people? After the submission is approved, will we delete the fake people or remove the demo people from the Explore section again? Is this possible? Which approach is correct to avoid being perceived as "fake content"?

Which tools and concepts are essential to learn first in iOS development?
I’m beginning my journey in iOS app development with a strong Java background and an app idea in mind, and I want to learn the best practices, tools, and workflows to build it the right way from the start. I’d appreciate guidance on useful AI tools for coding and learning Swift or SwiftUI, how developers approach app design, and recommended sources for UI inspiration, graphics, and overall development tips.

What actionable strategies are most effective for optimizing an app’s ranking on the App Store?
Getting early traction can be challenging for a retail app. Beyond running ads, work on improving your App Store and Play Store presence through better screenshots, descriptions and keyword choices. You can also promote the app directly to existing customers with in store QR codes, social media and small influencer partnerships to get your first new users.

Are my App Store ratings/reviews being rejected?
Hi, My iOS app hasn't received any reviews that I can see since 05/09/2020, ten weeks ago. Are my app ratings/reviews being moderated and rejected? I believe there must be some sort of moderation going on, because the Android version of the app has received 20+ user reviews in the same time period, and our users are 70%+ iOS users. In this period I would have forecasted at least a few positive reviews, and no doubt a couple negative ones due to standard onboarding issues. We've never run any sort of shady review collection activity. Is there any way to view pending ratings/reviews? Any suggestions on how to resolve this much appreciated, as this is obviously affecting our download rate! Cheers

App Stuck in "Waiting for Review" Since February 10, 2026 & No Response from Support
Hello everyone, I’m facing an unusually long app review delay and would appreciate any insight from the community. My app has been stuck in the "Waiting for Review" status since February 10, 2026, with no updates or feedback. App details: App ID: 6756574744 Case Number: 102824473424 During this time, I have: Submitted several support requests Filed multiple expedited review requests Tried contacting through email and the support section Attempted to follow up on the case status Despite all of these efforts, I have not received any response, acknowledgment, or update regarding its review progress. I understand that review times can vary, and delays sometimes happen. What concerns me more is the complete lack of communication. At this point, it feels like the app might be stuck in the queue. Has anyone else experienced long "Waiting for Review" times recently? Is there anything else I can do to get clarification or make sure the submission is not blocked for some reason? Thanks in advance for any insight!

App update stuck in “Waiting for Review” for 25 days — could someone check the status?
Hello, My app update has been pending review for exactly 25 days and is still stuck in the “Waiting for Review” state in App Store Connect. My app has been stuck in "pending review" since February 14th
My app has been stuck in "pending review" since February 14th. There are no new emails in App Store Connect, and the state has not changed. It's not clear what's going on, but right now the whole team is waiting, all looking at the store rules and doing various reviews. I also sent the inquiry form and replied quickly, but it has been nearly a week since the last reply. Does anyone know if this is a normal review delay or should I need to do something else to get my app into a normal state? (Application ID: 6759188592)

Struggling to get my app noticed after launch — any tips to boost ranking on the App Store?
Start by refining your metadata with keyword-rich titles, subtitles, and descriptions that match user intent. Use high-quality screenshots, app previews, and localized content to improve visibility. Focus on user engagement through regular updates, positive reviews, and consistent installs. Higher retention and active user signals naturally help your app climb the App Store rankings.

Key lessons after two months of building my first iOS app
After nearly ten years in Android development, I finally built a native iOS app, sharing the journey publicly while learning Swift and SwiftUI, using AI selectively, and finding the platform familiar yet different in tooling, concurrency, and culture. I reached production without initially buying a developer account and faced a stricter, iterative App Store review process than the Play Store, with several rejections that ultimately clarified Apple’s quality standards and expectations.

Seeking Advice on App Store Optimization for a New App With Low Initial Traction
I launched my app on the App Store and Google Play about two months ago and despite improving the icon and screenshots I have only reached around 40 downloads which makes me believe ASO is my main challenge. I started using ASO tools like TryAstro and AppTweak but the keyword metrics such as volume 39 and difficulty 0 are confusing so I would appreciate guidance on interpreting this data and on effective ASO strategies for a new app with minimal downloads or ratings.

Rejected under Guideline 3.1.1 for Partner Codes (B2B/Enterprise Content) – Seeking advice on Appeal
Hi everyone, I’m seeking some advice on a recurring rejection for our app, tassie., regarding Guideline 3.1.1 (In-App Purchase). The Situation: Our app offers walking tours. While we sell public tours via In-App Purchases (which works perfectly), we also create bespoke, private tours for corporate clients (e.g., a specific company teambuilding event or a private anniversary tour). These tours contain company-specific info and are not available for sale to the general public. The Issue: We use "Partner Codes" (Access Codes) to allow employees of these companies to unlock their private tours. Apple keeps rejecting us under 3.1.1, claiming we are bypassing the IAP system. Our Argument: We believe this falls under Guideline 3.1.3(c) (Enterprise Users). The content is bespoke and created for a specific organization. The end-user (the employee) does not pay for this content; it is a B2B transaction between us and the corporation. The content is not relevant to the general public and therefore not suitable for the public IAP storefront. The Question: Has anyone successfully navigated this? We’ve tried explaining the B2B nature in the App Review notes, but the reviewers seem to hit a wall as soon as they see an "input field" for a code. Should we move the "Partner Code" field deeper into the Profile/Settings to distance it from the Shop? Is there a specific way to document the "Bespoke" nature of the content to satisfy the reviewers? Would an Appeal be the best route, or should we request a phone call (which we are currently scheduled for)? Any insights or experiences with Guideline 3.1.3(c) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Danique | tassie.

Extended “Waiting for Review” & No Communication Despite Multiple Contact Attempts
Hello, I would like to formally raise a concern regarding an ongoing lack of communication in the review process. Two of my applications have been in the “Waiting for Review” stage for an unusually extended period. During this time, I have: • Sent multiple support emails • Submitted an expedited review request • Attempted to follow up through official channels Despite these efforts, I have not received a single response or status update. I understand that review timelines can fluctuate depending on workload and complexity. However, prolonged silence without acknowledgment creates uncertainty and directly impacts release planning, user acquisition strategy, and overall operational decisions. This is not a complaint about review duration alone. It is primarily about the absence of communication. Even a brief confirmation or estimated timeline would significantly improve the situation. I respectfully request clarification on the status of these submissions and the reason for the continued “Waiting for Review” state. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved promptly. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Berkay

Cannot download approved app via promo code
I just had an app approved and pending developer release. As part of my release checks, I always download the app using a promo code (even for free apps). This time, on both iOS and macOS, redeeming a promo code for the respective builds gives this error: Unable to Redeem. This content is incompatible with the current software on this device. Update your device to the latest software version and try again. The app targets iOS 26.0 and macOS 26.0, and my devices are on the latest releases. Has anything changed with promo code redemption for approved apps? I typically use promo codes for updates, but have not released a new app in a while.

No Response to Support or Expedited Review Requests – Apps Still Waiting
Hello, I would like to raise a concern regarding the review status of my apps. Both of my submissions have been in the “Waiting for Review” stage for an extended period of time. Additionally, I have sent multiple support emails and even submitted an expedited review request. Unfortunately, I have not received a single response to any of them. As a long-time Apple developer and someone who genuinely values the Apple ecosystem, I find this prolonged silence concerning. Extended waiting periods without any feedback create uncertainty and negatively impact the overall developer experience. I fully understand that review times can vary. However, the lack of communication is the primary issue here. Even a brief status update would be greatly appreciated. I sincerely hope the review process moves forward soon and that we can resolve the current “Waiting for Review” situation as quickly as possible. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, Berkay

App Review Issue/Bug/Delay
More than 2 week's ago submitted 3 apps, and it's still stuck on "In Review" status with zero updates. No updates in statuses. No updates from email support Apple Team. We create some tickets on support tab, but no updates from Apple Team. Apple’s review process usually isn’t this slow, so I’m starting to wonder if something’s broken on their end… Would appreciate any insights or updates from others who’ve managed to get through this too!!! Can you please help us to resolve this issue?

App Previews Upload Taking a Long, Long Time
Am I the only one wasting my time having preview videos processed? I've been waiting for hours. I wasted an hour just trying to sign out of an iCloud account yesterday. Now this process is taking a big chunk of my valuable time. Pardon me for saying it, Apple, Inc. But this is stupid and so unproductive.
