When User restarted iOS device, after powering on iOS App is not able to get VoIP push notification. If user opens App, immediate VoIP push receiving.
In Normal (App Kill or Background state) everything works as expected. Issue is when device is powered on and immediately( In 1-2 mins) try to call on device.
We are using delegate to show Call to User

We are encountering issues while implementing the live translation feature in our VoIP application using CallKit on iOS 26.0. Specifically, we are attempting to use the CXSetTranslatingCallAction transaction to enable translation programmatically during an active call.
However, executing this transaction results in the following error:
"Couldn't communicate with a helper application."
This occurs consistently when we attempt to trigger the translation setup without user interaction. We are seeking clarification on the following points:
Is it possible to enable CallKit's live translation feature using CXSetTranslatingCallAction purely programmatically, without requiring the user to interact with the system-provided Call UI?
What does the above error indicate in the context of CXSetTranslatingCallAction? Are there specific conditions, entitlements, or background service requirements that must be fulfilled to communicate with CallKit?

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM
Our app (a VoIP and messaging app) has been experiencing a crash when running in the background for long periods of time (a couple of days) while receiving calls, and message notifications. If the app is not receiving notifications, we don't get any crashes while it runs in the background.
It is worth mentioning that we have several pushes that are background pushes and they could happen depending on the outcome of an incoming call. We have the two pushes:
incoming call bye: let the app know that the calling end hanged up the call.
incoming call answered: lets the app know that another device (with the same shared number) answered the call (web app, Android).
Those pushes are delivered within 30 seconds after the call starts. I assume that since the app was awakened by a VoIP push, those background notification won't count towards the iOS restriction of not getting too many background pushes:
"The number of background notifications allowed by the system depends on current conditions, but don’t try to send more than two or three per hour."
Let me know if the above assumption is not accurate.
I don't see details in the crash report (such as a "Termination Description") that could guide me to address the issue. So I would appreciate if you can give me some insight on what could be causing this.

Leave the app running in the background while it is receiving notifications (VoIP or messages).
Bring the app to the foreground after a day or two of it running in the background.

I am currently building an app using React Native with Swift bridging, integrating VoIP functionality using Twilio, PushKit, and CallKit. I am encountering the following issue during development:
"The current provisioning profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement."
What I’ve Done So Far:
VoIP Certificate: I have created a valid VoIP Services certificate in the Apple Developer portal.
Bundle Identifier and Provisioning Profile: A new Bundle ID was created specifically for this app. I created a provisioning profile for this Bundle ID and downloaded it for use in Xcode.

Push Notifications: Enabled
Background Modes: Voice over IP: Enabled, Remote notifications: Enabled

Project Setup
I have integrated PushKit for VoIP push handling and CallKit for incoming call UI and control.
Problem:
In the Apple Developer portal under my App ID settings, I only see an option to enable Push Notifications.
There is no option available to enable Voice over IP, and therefore the provisioning profile generated does not include the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement.
Despite enabling VoIP background mode in Xcode, adding the entitlement in my project, and using a valid VoIP certificate, the profile does not include the required entitlement.
Additional Information:
I am using an Individual Apple Developer Account, not an Organization account.
I have already attempted re-downloading the provisioning profile, restarting Xcode, and cleaning the build folder.
Question:
What steps should I take to resolve this and ensure that the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement is included in my provisioning profile?
Is this limitation due to the type of developer account (individual vs. organization), and do I need to upgrade to an Organization account to access this entitlement?
Is there any way to request for 'com.appple.developer.voip-push-notification' entitlement to Apple Team ?

I’m developing an app with audio calling functionality, and I’d like to take advantage of Picture-in-Picture (PiP) so that when the user moves the app to the background, the ongoing call can remain minimized on the Home screen. Based on my research, it seems possible to display a view in PiP mode and have it play, and I haven’t found any documentation stating that this is prohibited. Could you please confirm if this is allowed?
My App supports two services that is Push Notification for Alerts and a Voip Call feature whose notification also comes in the same way as of PushNotification but video rendering is done with GoogleWebRTC.
The App was working perfectly fine but from past few months these services are not working.[ Nothing is changed in App and on the server side to push the notifications]
Issues:
VoIP (Video call) not working: I have apns certificate which is valid in today's date and stays with the backend Server. My server sends the payload notification to APNS but on iPhone am unable to receive it. I have checked the App registration part also and is able to receive the token for the same.
Framework used are: PushKit, UserNotifications, GoogleWebRTC .
I don't understand where is the gap, the backend triggers the APNS but there no response.
Ports enabled on server are: 443, 5223, 2197, 2195, 2196.
Similarly Push notification were also not working, So I tried to change it to register on Firebase for device registration token And did some coding at backend to send the notification to that device. It was working perfectly fine from last few weeks, but it suddenly stopped. I checked the JSON Payload and tried to send it through PostMan, in both it says 200 Success. And in Application end am waiting for breakpoint to hit in userNotificationCenter(_: , willPresent, completionHandler).
What all I have checked:
1)My server to APNS server connectivity.
2)Verified the apns certificate. The certificate was created in October 2024, whose expiry is in Nov 2025 and it support both Sandbox and Production environment.
3)Checked required delegates are implemented in App. With the capability enable in it, is also sending registration token to backend.
Kindly guide me where I can check in this flow.

I am developing VOIP feature using PushKit and CallKit but CallKit is not show when app in background or terminate state, now in foreground state I can call reportNewIncomingCall from pushRegistry-didReceiveIncomingPushWith and it's work as expected but the problem is in background or terminate state it's not
my setup:

In Signing & Capabilities I add background modes (Remote notifications and Voice over IP)

We are currently developing a VoIP application that supports Local Push extention.
I would like to ask for your advice on how the extension works when the iPhone goes into sleep mode.
Our App are using GCD (Grand Central Dispatch) to perform periodic processing within the extension, creating a cycle by it.

However In this App that we are confirming that when the iPhone goes into sleep mode, self.activeTimerProc() is not called at 10-second intervals, but is significantly delayed (approximately 30 to 180 seconds).
What factors could be causing the timer processing using GCD not to be executed at the specified interval when the iPhone is in sleep mode?
Also, please let us know if there are any implementation errors or points to note.

Our team is currently developing a PTT (Push-to-Talk) application using the officially recommended PushToTalk framework. During development, we've encountered a point of confusion regarding the application's behavior after being force-quit by the user.
Based on our understanding of the PushToTalk framework documentation (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/pushtotalk/creating-a-push-to-talk-app/) and the PTChannelManager session restoration mechanism, when a user manually kills the app from the background (App Switcher), the current PTT session (the system session managed by PTChannelManager) should terminate. Subsequent pushtotalk type pushes sent via APNS, without an active session, appear to be silently discarded by the system and cannot wake the app for processing (similar to what Kevin Elliott DTS mentioned in https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/760506 Point D). This seems to prevent reliable PTT message reception in our app after a user force quits.
However, we've observed that some popular PTT applications on the market (e.g., TenTen) appear to successfully receive and play PTT voice messages from friends even after the user has performed a force-quit action. This behavior seems inconsistent with our test results and understanding based on the standard framework, posing a challenge for us in providing similar reliability using standard methods.
This naturally leads us to wonder how this capability is achieved. We've reviewed developer forums and are aware of the historical existence of a PTT-specific com.apple.developer.pushkit.unrestricted-voip entitlement, which allowed PushKit usage for PTT without CallKit binding. While Apple DTS engineers have repeatedly stated this entitlement is being deprecated and urged migration to the PushToTalk framework (e.g., https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/763289), we are curious if the observed "wake-after-force-quit" capability might be related to some apps potentially still utilizing this outgoing special entitlement. Alternatively, is there perhaps a mechanism within the standard PushToTalk framework that allows wake-up after force quit that we haven't fully grasped?
Therefore, we'd like to ask fellow developers for clarification and discussion:
When using the standard PushToTalk framework, have others confirmed that the app indeed cannot be woken up by pushtotalk pushes after being force-quit by the user? Is this the expected behavior?

Starting in iOS 26, two notable changes have been made to CallKit, LiveCommunicationKit, and the PushToTalk framework:
As a diagnostic aid, we're introducing new dialogs to warn apps of voip push related issue, for example when they fail to report a call or when when voip push delivery stops. The specific details of that behavior are still being determined and are likely to change over time, however, the critical point here is that these alerts are only intended to help developers debug and improve their app. Because of that, they're specifically tied to development and TestFlight signed builds, so the alert dialogs will not appear for customers running app store builds. The existing termination/crashes will still occur, but the new warning alerts will not appear.
As PushToTalk developers have previously been warned, the last unrestricted PushKit entitlement ("com.apple.developer.pushkit.unrestricted-voip.ptt") has been disabled in the iOS 26 SDK. ALL apps that link against the iOS 26 SDK which receive a voip push through PushKit and which fail to report a call to CallKit will be now be terminated by the system, as the API contract has long specified.

We have a problem in a scenario that SIM lock is disabled so after a phone reboots it has the Internet connection but it is still locked.
When you call into the VOIP app the app is not being launched as the result (it seems reasonable because it wouldn't be able to access the keychain items etc...) but the OS still seem to enforce the rule that the app needs to report the new incoming call.
When we then unlock the app we can see no more pushkit pushes are arriving (dropped on the floor in the console) but we get the three initial pushes that were send during the locked phase right after the app launch.
I am developing a VoIP phone application(Our Phoneapp) using APNs VoIP push.
I have a question regarding a behavior I discovered during testing of this application.
When performing the following operations using an iPhoneSE3 with an sXGP-NW SIM inserted,
0xBAADCA11 occurs upon receiving an APNs VoIP PUSH.
Do you have any information regarding this issue?
0xBAADCA11 occurs in operation 8. However, since there were no problems in operation 4 (the app works when Wi-Fi is off), I think there is no issue with the Our Phoneapp.

As a result our Phoneapp is unable to detect the incoming call, However, an ips log with 0xBAADCA11 is output.
in other words, iOS received the VoIP PUSH, but Our Phoneapp dose not call CallKit, so Our Phoneapp was terminated by iOS.
My app requirement is to check that User is on call while doing transaction. If user on call then we need to show Caution alert. For this requirement we used CallKit to detect Call status and it's working fine but recently Apple has rejected the application because of Callkit that is banned in China.
Could you please provide any solution to check the Call Status only.
I am developing an application that uses NetworkExtension (Local PUSH function) And VoIP(APNs) PUSH.
Nowadays, I found a problem on this app doesn't handle incoming call of Local PUSH when receiving a Local PUSH after receiving an APNs PUSH.
My confimation result of my app and server log is below.
11:00 AM:
my server(PBX) requests a VoIP(APNs) PUSH notification to the APNs.
But my app does not receive the VoIP(APNs) PUSH.
At this time, my app is running on LAN (Wi-Fi without internet connection), as a result, NetworkExtension was running. so I think this is normal behaviour.
14:55:11 PM:
There is an incoming call from the my server(PBX) via local net, and NetworkExtension calls iOS API(API name is reportIncomingCall).
However, iOS does not call the delegate didReceiveIncomingCallWithUserInfo for the reportIncomingCall.
14:55:11 PM:
At almost the same time, iOS calls the delegate cdidReceiveIncomingPushWithPayload of VoIP PUSH.
(instead of call the delegate didReceiveIncomingCallWithUserInfo for the reportIncomingCall?)
And the content of this VoIP(APNs) PUSH was the incoming call at "11:00 AM".
In other words, the VoIP(APNs) PUSH at 11:00 AM is stuck inside iOS, and at 14:55:11 PM, from NetworkExtension reports it.
I feel there is a problem on iOS doesn't handle incoming call of Local PUSH when receiving a Local PUSH after receiving an VoIP(APNs) PUSH.
Would you tell me Apple's opioion about this?

We have started facing an issue after updating Xcode from version 15.2 to 16, we have a voip application with webview and call kit, and we have the Background Modes capabilities: Voip, Audio, Background fetch, and Background processing.
We had no problem on Xcode 15, but ever since updating Xcode 16 and sdk 18, when app goes into the background during an active call, the app is suspended and no events are triggered UNTIL the app is resumed to the foreground.
I'm observing that when a silent push notification is sent to our app, is is started up in the background for 30 seconds before being suspended until the app is launched by the user. This causes data to persist from the silent push notification to the user app launch.
I couldn't find documentation on this behavior for silent push notifications, and was wondering if it's possible to have the app terminate after handling the silent push notification. Is there documentation on the general flow of silent push notifications as well?
I'm able to handle the edge cases if the app has to be suspended until user launch, but just want to confirm that this is the expected behavior before I go about handling it this way.
We are attempting to update our app to use the PTT framework, as it has been made clear that this will be required in a future iOS version as opposed to using the Unrestricted VoIP entitlement we are using for several features of our app.
However, the behavior of this framework poses some problems with implementing our app's functionality:
It is not possible to programmatically join a channel when the app is not in the foreground. This hinders our ability to implement the Automatically activate radio stream feature of our app, which allows users who have opted into this feature to immediately begin hearing live PTT audio from their agency following an incident alert. Having the app constantly "joined to a channel" and using the restoration delegate could potentially work, however this is not ideal as this would result in the PTT UI needing to be displayed at all times, even when no radio stream is activated.
We have a "Text to Speech" option that, when enabled, reads out the content of an incident alert after the alert sound has played. This currently happens by triggering an AVSpeechSynthesizer in the PushKit incoming push callback. It may be possible to render TTS audio on the fly in a Notification Service Extension and assign it as the notification's sound, if that is possible this is less of a problem.
We also use the PushKit callback to, again if the user has enabled it, activate a "Shake to Respond" feature, allowing a short period of time after receiving an incident alert in which the user can shake their device to indicate that they are responding to the incident. There does not appear to be any way to have the level of background execution required to implement this using an NSE, and this is of course beyond the scope of the PTT framework.
What options do we have to be able to continue to provide this functionality, without risk of it being disabled in a future iOS version?

We have a React Native application that includes call functionality using PushKit and VoIP notifications.
We are using APNS to send the VoIP notifications, and everything has been working smoothly on iOS versions up to 18.3.1.
However, after updating to iOS 18.4, we are no longer receiving incoming VoIP push notifications on the device.
There have been no code changes related to our PushKit or notification logic — the exact same build continues to work correctly on devices running iOS 18.3.1 and earlier.
We're trying to understand if anything has changed in iOS 18.4 that affects VoIP push delivery or registration behavior.
Would appreciate any guidance, and happy to share code snippets or configuration if needed.
