SubscriptionStoreView and Sandbox weirdness
I am working on a paywall, and SubscriptionStoreView seems to work just fine when using the XCode environment but goes bonkers when using Sandbox. Specfically, after making a subscription, I don't get the "Your plan" flag, and the subscription buttons fail to do anything. Hitting one of those the app just sits there....mocking me with its silence. "Clear purchase history" does nothing when done either the iPhone or the Sandbox account page on the website. Nor does the subscription seem to expire after the expiration time of 3 minutes that I am using. Anyone else see this? is this similar to the TestFlight issues people had a year ago?

How get the backend service get the fefund amount in the subscription plan "Upgrade" cases?
If a user applies for and is approved for a subscription refund by Apple, we understand that the developer can receive a server notification of "REFUND." However, this notification doesn't include the refund amount. Therefore, we thought about linking the refund amount information output in the financial report "All Countries or Regions (Detailed)" with individual end-user transaction information. However, it seems that this report doesn't have a transaction ID, and the records appear to be aggregated daily. Is there any way we can find out how much was refunded to which user for individual refunds? If a user applies for a subscription refund from Apple, are there cases where only a part of the plan, rather than the full amount, is refunded?

Unreliable CLServiceSession(authorization: .always) when using other background modes.
I am using CLServiceSession(authorization: .always) to start a service session for tracking Zone entry and exit in the background in my app. It has been working fine on iOS 18 until recently when we added some BGProcessingTasks. The task runs when the user is not moving and the device is on charge, this task runs fro a bit in the background, however we are seeing that even though we are reinitializing then session upon app launch. We have even tried to just explicitly reinitialize a session within the background task callback, but the zone tracking still continues to fail. Significant location changes are unaffected. Timeline of events: User Opens App, CLServiceSession(authorization: .always) is called (assume permissions have already been granted.) App is backgrounded User moves outside zone and app captures the data correctly (this can happen any amount of times) User plugs in Phone BGProcessingTask callback is run, it may or may not be terminated early. The service session is recreated as the first action in the callback. (we have also tried putting it in the main init() function for the app, same outcome) User moves outside zone later and app does NOT capture the data. User is sad :( The session seems to be reinitialized correctly when the app is launched due to CoreLocation updates. Is this expected behaviour or a bug? Is there a good way to debug what is happening with the sessions? Unfortunately, the WWDC sessions on this have not enlightened us about the cause of this behaviour.

Notifications
We've had reports that since upgrading to iOS 18.1.1, wallet pass notifications (on the lock screen) now display "Nearby" instead of the Departure time,. Has anyone else experienced this issue? There doesn't seem to be any documentation around it. Thanks

Event id to test merchant token event details endpoint
Hi to everyone looking for more information about recurring payments I wonder if there is any way to test (maybe by using some default event id) the merchant token event token detail endpoint, it would be very helpful for merchants if there was some configuration or event id that always returned some particular event, that way we could do a better testing process instead of doing all this with a production environment. If there is any way to use some tool or sandbox to test this part of the process please tell us about it.

How to export workout plan as JSON?
Hi guys, In WWDC23 session 10016: Build custom workouts with WorkoutKit , the presenters mentioned that a Workout Plan can be exported to a JSON or binary file, and also showed a code snip: let binaryRepresentation = try myCyclingWorkout.dataRepresentation(in: .compactBinary) However in the current SDK, the property dataRepresentation can not be exported with a specific format, the base64EncodedString() result is unreadable. Does anyone know how to export it as a JSON string now? Thanks very much.

Do I need IAP inside my app by using this model?
Currently, I have an app running locally on my computer, and there is also a web app. To create an account, users need to pay through the web app, which handles the payment process smoothly. My question is: Do I need to implement In-App Purchases (IAP) if the payment is only for account creation? Let me elaborate on my question. I know the typical answer is yes, but what if users in the mobile app cannot create an account or pay within the app itself? Instead, account creation is only possible via the web app, and only users who have paid outside the mobile platform can access and join the mobile app. This approach is similar to what Netflix and Spotify do – they do not allow account creation inside their mobile apps and do not provide any redirects or buttons indicating alternative payment methods (they do not have IAP).

How can I transition to SwiftData while migrating the persistent store to an app group container with Core Data?
I have a Core Data app on the App Store that places its persistent store in the default location within the Application Support directory. At some point, I add widgets to the app while utilizing SwiftData. I create a widget extension and the app group to link both targets. I migrate my persistent store from the default location to the app group container directory. Now, the SwiftData code pointing to the shared container in the widget extension can query data. Here's the sample project for illustration up to this point. Then, I decided to get rid of the Core Data code entirely. Move everything in the main target to SwiftData. I need to keep my persistence controller object, however, because I can never assume that the entirety of my user base has migrated. I do need to ditch the Core Data model file. Otherwise, my new SwiftData models would conflict with the auto-generated ones from that file. But once I do that, my migration code breaks. I can't set up a persistent container without the model. And I need the container for migration. SwiftData has no native interface to migrate the store to a new location. There is a line in the documentation stating that the framework copies the store to an app group container automatically. But I wasn't able to verify that claim.

MacBook peripherals malfunction after allowed Driver Extensions
Hi, I’m developing my own Pcie Ethernet driverkit. My Pcie Ethernet card connect on Razor Core X and connect to MacBook via thunderbolt 3. The Problem: Click Driver application and send activate system extension request, then go to System setting -> Privacy & Security, in Extension section ->click “allow” , the peripherals malfunction immediately after "allow" clicked and type in the password.I can't control all peripherals devices like touchpad, keyboard and all of thunderbolt ports. However, it can regain functionality after plugging and unplugging the device. results I expected: User approve Driver Extensions enable and all peripherals work normally and Ethernet Card works. Has anyone encountered this problem? maybe something wrong in "OSSystemExtensionRequestDelegate" but I have no idea how to fix it Please Help. My Xcode version is Version 15.3 (15E204a). Thanks

siri crash
Question: A very small number of users experience this crash: NSInternalInconsistencyException:Use of the class INVocabulary requires the entitlement com.apple.developer.siri. Make sure you have enabled the Siri capability in your Xcode project. But our project definitely has siri configured to be available. During app startup, calling the following code causes a crash: INVocabulary *vocabulary = [INVocabulary sharedVocabulary]; Now that we can't figure it out, is it a bug in the system?

Error: com.apple.AuthenticationServices.Authorization Error Code 1000
I am getting this error when trying to run the app on an actual IOS device using testFlight. It works well on simulators. I am using expo to build my app. I have done the following: Added Sign in with Apple in Xcode for all the profiles ( i.e. debug and release) Set expo.ios.usesAppleSignIn to true in my app.json ( I think due to this I see Synced capabilities: Enabled: Sign In with Apple while building my app using eas build. ) Make sure that the provision profile has Sign in with App capability. What I am not able to understand is how option provided in provision profile works. Expo creates the profile with type "App Store". I think this is because I am building the expo app with production profile. Does this have to take anything with it? Does the profile with type "App Store" not work when I am testing the app using testFlight? I am so confused right now. Can someone help me figure out the actual issue? I have seen almost all the posts regarding this error. None of those helped! Thanks in advance!

USB CDC ECM or NCM device requirements
I am developing a USB networking accessory using the CDC ECM or NCM protocol and I would like to know what are the MacOS and iPadOS requirements to connect to such a device. I have a prototype CDC ECM device developed that uses static IPv4 addressing which I can connect to an Arch Linux host and ping, but I am unable to have the same success from my Mac Studio M1 running Sequoia 15.1.1. The device shows up under 'Other Services' with 'Not connected' status, whether I leave it with the default settings or change it to 'Configure IPv4 -> Manually' and then set the appropriate IP address / Subnet mask / Router. From a discussion on Github, it seems that the ECM device must support NetworkConnection notification in order to work with MacOS. Can you point me to where this is documented and whether there are other expectations/requirements around USB network adapters? My end goal is to make an embedded device that communicates to MacOS and iPadOS devices/apps over USB CDC NCM with a simple UDP socket listener. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

We were unable to review the app because it crashed on launch.
Hello, our app gets rejected as it crashes on launch. According to the logs, it happens because the app attempts to access private-sensitive data. We don't collect any of personal data, so it is probably done by Google Firebase embedded in the app (Core, Firestore, Auth). Maybe you have met similar cases and know any of Firebase settings that disable attempts of accessing privacy-sensitive data? We already set FirebaseDataCollectionDefaultEnabled to NO in info.plist, but it still not enough. Maybe error in facebook sdk? Before that it was written that there was an error when starting the ipad air 5 Log1 Log2 Log3

Deeplink to simply open apple pay
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to open apple pay just by clicking a link, no need to create a payment request. If there's no way to do it, I found out that we can interact with the app through JS, but even in JS I didn't find a way to simply open it.

MapCameraPosition & userLocation
I have a Map within a SwiftUI. I initialize a variable like this: var cameraPosition: MapCameraPosition = .userLocation(followsHeading: true, fallback: .automatic) and then I want to zoom map, code like this: let userRegion = MKCoordinateRegion( center: userLocation.coordinate, span: MKCoordinateSpan( latitudeDelta: 0.01, longitudeDelta: 0.01 ) ) cameraPosition = .region(userRegion) But it does't work. How can I solve this problem?
