My Watch app is a workout app that has to be careful to minimize CPU load when backgrounded to get below the 15% avg/60 s in order to avoid being terminated by the system.
Accordingly I have logic to detect a transition to the background using a .onChange(of: scenePhase) { phase in… } handler which works well for cases where the app is backgrounded - it is able to reduce its CPU load to just 6-9% while backgrounded.
But a special case of the change to scenePhase presents a challenge - when an overlay such as the Control Center or a long-look notification presents, there is no transition to .background, only to .inactive. This is a problem because the system nevertheless imposes the background CPU limit on the app while it’s being covered by the overlay, even though the app didn’t get the .background transition on the scenePhase handler.
To further complicate matters, it now seems with watchOS 11 that whenever a transition is made in the screen cadence from .live to .seconds, the scenePhase handler is called with a transition to .inactive. Which is a problem because this transition has to be distinguished from the case of the overlay presentation - the cadence change has no CPU usage implications as long as the app remains foregrounded, but the overlay presentation does, and the system will terminate the app if it exceeds 15% avg/60s.
My question: how can I distinguish between the two causes of the transition to .inactive for the two cases: 1) when the overlay presents, and 2) when the display shifts to the slow cadence?
We are utilizing the StoreKit external purchase link within the app and have configured the necessary keys in the entitlements according to the documentation. The Info.plist file has also been updated with the required key and a single destination URL, following the guidelines from this documentation. However, when we click the link in the app, it redirects to the default browser, and the in-app system disclosure sheet does not appear.
Should the in-app disclosure sheet appear automatically, or do we need to design and implement it ourselves?

Previously working! Now Broken. I developed a test application to establish a connection with a BLE peripheral. The application successfully connected to the peripheral, but it did not establish SMP Pairing procedure.
Previously, I was able to successfully pair with the devices during the Beta phase. However, currently, I am not receiving the OS prompt to grant Bluetooth permissions. I understand that this may be a newly introduced feature in the recent releases.
Could you please provide guidance on whether there is a specific flag that needs to be enabled or added elsewhere, or if this is a bug with the ASK?
PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi,
In Apple Health, when there is an entry for a visit with a doctor, many times there are accompanying PDFs that are loaded into Apple Health along with the numerical/text data. Is there a way to pull PDFs into an app as well as the numerical/text data?
Thanks

Hello, I am currently developing an application using SensorKit to retrieve visit data. While the data retrieval works smoothly on one iPhone (iPhone 14, iOS 18.0.1), it fails on other devices, including:
iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18.1 Beta
Another iPhone 14 with iOS 18.0
I’ve verified that the entitlements are configured properly, and the app has the necessary SensorKit visit permissions across all devices. Despite these steps, only one of the phones is able to retrieve the visit data correctly.
Is there any minimum hardware requirement or compatibility issue with certain models or configurations that I should be aware of for using SensorKit visits?
Any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
We are currently upgrading our server to IPv6, and when we tested it, we found that the following API, which verifies receipts when charging, resulted in an error.
verifyReceipt API
https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt
https://sandbox.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt
This is currently a deprecated API, so when we tried curling the URL to the "App Store Server API" and using nslookup, we also got an error.
App Store Server API
https://api.storekit.itunes.apple.com
https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com
The error was that the address could be retrieved from the domain in IPv4, but the address could not be retrieved in IPv6.
"https://www.apple.com" and other sites could be retrieved without any problems in IPv6.
Is this API not compatible with IPv6?
If this is not possible, the only way to verify receipts and the legitimacy of charges seems to be to perform verification on the device,
but as this requires a lot of work, I would like to know if there is a better way.

Apple Pay
Hello there,
We are developing our own server for live caller ID service, and we have some questions for end-to-end testing:
According to the official documentation, it's said that the OS on user's iPhone will issue OHTTP request to 3rd party's gateway. Is it possible to verify this behavior at local environment, using physical device?
If answer to question 1. is no, will Apple provide other beta testing methods? For example via Testflight.
Any suggestion helps. Thanks!
in ios 18, we can custom two bottom button on Lock Screen, in past, they are Flash and Camera.
So I want my app's function could be display in here, and I custom it, and will show a Controls List, But I can not found my app's icon.
How to make a myself Control item and add it to Control List?
any guideline or tutorials are welcome :D
Does anyone else have this issue?
We have been having this issue for years since we start using Apple Pay on the Web.
I have checked TN3173 Your domain does not automatically re-verify section, we should meet all requirements.
I have emailed applepaymerchantsupport at apple.com several times (Case-ID: 7663879), either saying "still checking", or no response at all.
Our certificate for the Merchant Domains is maintained in Cloudflare, signed with Google Trust Service, rotate every 3 months.
For V1 used for internal purchase verification, when will the exclusive shared key regenerated after transfer be replaced? Will it affect in-app purchases and subscriptions by online users?
The V2 used for internal purchase verification uses the key ID instead of the dedicated shared key. In this case, what should we pay attention to before and after the transfer? Do I need to regenerate the key ID for the new account? Is the private shared key still useful? Do I need to generate a dedicated shared key again in the transferred App?
What will be the impact on existing subscriptions after the transfer? What do I need to do with the current existing subscriptions?
We have used universalLink, do we need to add a new TeamId to the apple-app-site-assn. txt file?
{
"applinks": {
"apps": [],
"details": [
{
"appID": “TeamIdA.com.***.***”,
"paths": [""]
},
{
"appID": “TeamIdB.com.***.***”,
"paths": [""]
}
]
}
}
We have stored the login information in Keychain Sharing, is there no way to get the original stored information after transfer? Is there a reasonable solution?

I am working on the integration of subscriptions in my OSX application. The subscription flow works perfectly but after the purchase it is not creating _MASReceipt folder in Contents folder of application so I cannot send the receipt to apple to verify this purchase. when I checked the logs it showing below error. From last 10 days, apns suddenly stopped working. We have raised the firewall request from our servers to apple servers. Even then it's not working. Could you please advise if there is anything changed in this api. Please take it as high priority. Thank you.
Hello,
I have a customer who keeps getting an "app is damaged" error for a freshly downloaded app from the Mac App Store.
The logs show the following lines:
standard 12:58:40.390872+0200 storeuid Receipt Validation (at.EternalStorms.Yoink)
Signature Check: PASS
Bundle ID Check: PASS
Bundle Version Check: PASS
GUID Check: PASS
Expiration Check: PASS
standard 12:58:40.391649+0200 storelegacy StoreLegacy: Failed to perform in-line receipt renewal for application at path /Applications/Yoink.app : '(null)'
The Mac in question is running macOS 12 Monterey - curiously, the customer has another Mac with that same system version and there it works just fine.
What can be done to make this work again?
Thank you,
– Matthias
I want to sell the same subscription in multiple apps so that if someone subscribes in one they show up as having a subscription in the other.
Apple's documentation states "To get started, use App Store Connect to create a separate and equivalent auto-renewable subscription for each app that offers the multi-app subscription so that users can subscribe from any app." (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/in-app_purchase/original_api_for_in-app_purchase/subscriptions_and_offers/offering_a_subscription_across_multiple_apps)
But I'm unable to create two subscriptions with the same Product ID. I could create two subscriptions that are equivalent but with different Product IDs that are treated as the same by our server, which would accomplish the main goal, but I believe this risks someone subscribing to both subscriptions if they do so directly through the App Store, for example using a promo code link, because they're still two different subscriptions to Apple.
Thanks!

App Store Server Notifications
When opening our App Clip from a Live Activity, the iOS system Handoff alert blocks our app on open. It is reproducible 100% of the time. The description in the system alert is: Waiting for Handoff to {My App}. We never had this issue before and believe it is related to iOS 18. I don't have Handoff enabled anywhere in my app.
All uses of NSUserActivity explicitly block handoff
userActivity.isEligibleForHandoff = false
We have been able to locate this same issue in other iOS apps that use Live Activities and App Clips. Is this an iOS 18 system-level bug?
We are currently experiencing an issue where our server is not receiving Apple’s server notification (webhook) for in-app purchase confirmations. This notification is critical as it helps us confirm the purchase status and fulfill the corresponding services to the users. Despite the successful completion of purchases within the app, the lack of webhook notifications prevents us from tracking and processing these payments on our backend.
In addition to resolving this issue, we are also concerned about the security aspect of receiving server notifications. Specifically, we want to ensure that any requests or notifications we receive are indeed coming from Apple, and not subject to potential man-in-the-middle (MIM) attacks. We are looking for information or best practices on how to validate that the request originates from a legitimate Apple source, ensuring the integrity of the communication and safeguarding our system from spoofed or malicious requests.
Key questions:
Server Notification Issue: Why might we not be receiving Apple's payment confirmation notifications, and what steps can we take to troubleshoot this issue?
Request Validation: What security mechanisms or validation techniques can we implement to confirm that the server notifications are genuinely from Apple, ensuring no interference from MIM attacks?
Does Apple provide any headers, tokens, or signatures in the server notification that we can use to verify the origin?
Are there any known methods or configurations to ensure secure receipt of in-app purchase confirmations?
We are looking for guidance and possible solutions to ensure a secure and reliable payment validation process for our in-app purchases. Any support in this regard would be highly appreciated.

I am developing In-App Provisioning functionality within an iOS application. When I try to perform the process, the process fails and the following is displayed on the screen: "Your issuer does not yet offer support for this card".
The PassbookUIService logs show:

{
auxiliaryCapabilities = {
};
eligibilityStatus = 0;
sanitizedPrimaryAccountPrefix = "";
}
ProvisioningStepEligibility: received eligibility status: 0
Showing eligibility issue with reason: 2
ProvisioningOperationComposer: Step 'eligibility' failed with error (null)
Would like to seek your help to investigate the problem. Thanks
