App stuck in "Waiting for Review" since Feb 20 – no response to support ticket
Hello everyone, My app has been in "Waiting for Review" status since February 20, and it still hasn’t moved to the review stage yet. On March 9, I submitted a support ticket asking whether there might be any issue with my submission or if additional information is required from my side. However, I have not received any response from Apple so far. At this point, I’m not sure if I should continue waiting or if there is anything else I should do to resolve the situation. App ID: 6759365919 Ticket ID: 102839874589 If anyone has experienced a similar situation or if an Apple staff member could help check the status, I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

macOS App: In-App Purchases section missing from version page - IAPs stuck for 3+ days, 4 app versions approved but IAPs never reviewed
Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a critical issue with App Store Connect for our macOS application and I'm hoping someone from Apple or the community can help. THE PROBLEM: The "In-App Purchases and Subscriptions" section is completely missing from the version page in App Store Connect. According to Apple's documentation, this section should appear between "Build" and "App Review Information" on the version page, allowing developers to select and attach IAP products before submitting for review. In our case, this section simply does not exist. WHAT WE'VE TRIED: Submitted 4 separate app versions , ALL approved by App Review Each time, the IAP products were NOT included because the section to attach them is missing Opened a support case on March 23 - no response after 2 business days Opened a second case through the App Setup channel Requested expedited review multiple times Added notes in the App Review Notes field explaining the issue OUR SETUP: We have three IAP products configured (two auto-renewable subscriptions and one non-consumable). All have complete metadata, localizations, and pricing set up correctly across all 175 countries/regions. The Paid Apps Agreement is active. IMPACT: The app is live on the Mac App Store but no user can make any purchase. This has been ongoing for over 3 days and is severely impacting our business. QUESTIONS: Has anyone else experienced the "In-App Purchases and Subscriptions" section being completely absent from the macOS version page in App Store Connect? Is there a known workaround to attach IAP products to a macOS app version when this section is missing? Can IAP products be approved independently without being attached to an app version, given that our app has already been approved multiple times? I found a thread on these forums reporting the same missing section issue, which suggests this may be a broader bug affecting macOS apps in App Store Connect. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Game Center Leaderboard scores
I recently had a game with game center leaderboards approved, I can display and see the scores fine when accessing the leaderboards from within the game, however I have been trying to remove some scores and noticed that there are no leaderboards showing nor scores in the manage scores section of the app store connect game center. I already tried contacting apple developer support but have had no response. Has anyone run into this issue and has a solution?

UK TAX INFO - alternative terms addendum - showing under tax forms with no visible agreement
Hello everyone, I’m facing a confusing issue in App Store Connect and hoping someone here has encountered this before. Context: • Company developer account (UK-based) • App is free to download • Only optional In-App Purchases (Apple IAP) • No external payments • Using standard App Store distribution • Paid Apps agreement is active • US tax forms (W-8BEN-E) are active Issue: Under Agreements → Tax Forms, I see: United Kingdom Tax Info – Alternative Terms Addendum – Missing Tax Info However: • There is no Alternative Terms Addendum visible under Agreements • I have not intentionally opted into EU DMA Alternative Terms • I do not have a UK VAT number (Apple should be Merchant of Record under standard IAP) Finance Support says they do not support Alternative Terms. Agreements support has not responded yet. Questions: 1. Can the Alternative Terms flag exist only under Tax Forms without a visible agreement? 2. How can a developer revert back to standard App Store terms if this happens? 3. Has anyone had Apple remove this EU DMA backend flag manually? Any guidance or similar experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance

App Transfer Completed but Extension App IDs Missing and Cannot Be Recreated
Hello, We recently transferred our iOS app to a new Apple Developer account, and we are experiencing an issue that is currently blocking our release. The transfer of the main app appears to have completed successfully: The app is visible in App Store Connect under the recipient account The main bundle ID is available However, the App IDs for our extensions are missing from the recipient account in Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles. Affected bundle identifiers: com.finanfut.finanfut.NotificationService com.finanfut.finanfut.NotificationContentExtension The issue is: These App IDs do NOT appear in the recipient account We are NOT able to create them manually Apple returns: “The app identifier is not available” As a result: Xcode cannot generate provisioning profiles We get errors like: "No profiles for 'com.finanfut.finanfut.NotificationContentExtension' were found" We are blocked from archiving and distributing the app It seems that the App IDs are still reserved in Apple's backend but were not properly assigned to the new team after the transfer. We have already contacted Apple Developer Support so many times but have not yet received a response. Has anyone experienced this issue after an app transfer with extensions? Is there any workaround, or does this require Apple backend intervention? Any help or confirmation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

PPO, are re-downloaders included in tests and tests results?
I would like to confirm this one way or another. I believe that re-downloaders are not included based on those links: https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/view-app-analytics/view-product-page-optimization-results https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/reference/reporting/app-metrics (Download metrics section). In our apps 20-30% of downloads are from re-downloaders. Thank you!

TestFlight External Build Stuck in 'Waiting for Review' for 32+ Hours
Hi everyone, My TestFlight build has been stuck in 'Waiting for Review' for over 32 hours and I'm hoping someone can help or share their experience. The situation: I have an External Testing group with a Public Link set up. The build was submitted for Beta App Review on March 19th but it's been over 32 hours with no update. I have 25+ testers waiting to install the app. What I've tried: Waited patiently Checked App Store Connect multiple times No rejection emails received No issues flagged by Apple Questions: Is anyone else experiencing unusually long review times for TestFlight external builds right now? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process or check if something is wrong? Has anyone successfully resolved this by contacting Apple Developer Support directly? App Store Connect “Missing Metadata” Nightmare: The Solution I Spent HOURS Searching For
I just spent way too many hours trying to figure out why my in-app subscription was stuck in “Missing Metadata” in App Store Connect, even though I had filled out everything. If you're here because you're in the same boat, this is the solution Apple doesn't make obvious. The Problem I created an auto-renewable subscription (Kanabloom Premium) and filled in all required fields. The subscription was still marked "Missing Metadata", preventing me from submitting it. The “In-App Purchases” section wasn’t showing up in my App Store version submission, which meant I couldn't even attach the subscription to my app version. I triple-checked the metadata, pricing, tax settings, review screenshot, and even resaved everything, but nothing worked. What I Tried (Before Finding the Fix) Checked that pricing was set up correctly for all countries. Uploaded the required review screenshot for the subscription. Made sure the subscription group existed and was linked properly. Refreshed, logged out/in, and tried different browsers. Read every Stack Overflow, Reddit, and Apple Developer Forum post I could find. Even tried creating a dummy subscription to see if that would reset the system. The Solution: Localizing the Subscription Group Here’s the stupidly hidden requirement that finally fixed it: ✅ Your subscription group itself (not just the subscription) needs a localized display name. App Store Connect requires each subscription group to have at least one localized display name for it to be valid. If this is missing, all subscriptions inside that group will stay stuck in “Missing Metadata” no matter how complete they are. How to Fix It: Go to App Store Connect > Subscriptions > Subscription Group Click on your subscription group (not the individual subscription). Check if there's a localization added under "Group Reference Name." If missing, add a localization (e.g., English) and save. Refresh the page and boom – the subscription will finally be "Ready to Submit." Conclusion Apple really needs to make this requirement clearer. Now that I’ve finally figured it out, hopefully, this post helps someone else avoid losing hours of their life to the same issue. If you're still stuck, double-check that: You’ve set pricing and enabled "Cleared for Sale." You’ve uploaded a review screenshot for the subscription. You’ve signed all App Store agreements and banking/tax documents. Your app's In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode. Let me know if this helped you! I wish I had found a post like this sooner. 😂 This should make for a useful and searchable post in case other devs run into the same headache. Let me know if you want any tweaks before posting! 🚀

App Review 2.1(b): paywall present in build but disabled — can it block review? What’s the best response?
Hello everyone, I’m submitting an iOS app to App Review and received Guideline 2.1(b) – Information Needed. Apple says it appears the app may access or include paid digital content/subscriptions and they want details about the business model. In my project, a paywall / premium UI exists in the codebase, and subscription products are configured in App Store Connect for a future release, but in the build currently submitted: The paywall is disabled (not reachable through any UI flow / feature flags are off). There is no purchase flow (no way to subscribe in-app). There is no external purchase (no website/Stripe/etc.). Users cannot access any previously purchased subscriptions (no entitlement access / restore not exposed). Questions: Can the mere presence of a paywall screen / IAP-related code in the binary (even if disabled/unreachable) block App Review or trigger repeated 2.1(b) requests? Is it recommended to remove paywall/IAP code entirely from the review build if it’s not used yet, or is a clear explanation to App Review usually enough? What’s the best wording to reassure App Review (e.g., explicitly stating “no paywall is reachable” / “no restore purchases entry point”)? If products are configured in App Store Connect but not used in the app yet, does Apple expect anything else (demo account, video, notes, etc.)? Any advice from developers who have faced a similar situation would be appreciated. Thank you!

Upcoming Changes to Your Taxes and Invoices - Cannot Find Ireland Tax Questionnaire - Bulgaria-Based Developer
Hello, I received an email on January 1st, 2026, regarding the Ireland VAT questionnaire with a deadline of April 1, 2026. The email instructs me to provide my VAT registration number or indicate non-registered status by clicking "Ireland Tax Questionnaire" or "Add Tax Info" in the Tax Forms section of App Store Connect. However, I cannot find this option in my account. When I go to the Business section and Tax Forms, I only see: US tax forms (already completed) Options to add tax forms for Brazil, Mexico, and Taiwan There is no Ireland Tax Questionnaire or option to add Ireland tax information. My legal entity is registered in Bulgaria, not Ireland. Could you please clarify: Do I need to complete the Ireland Tax Questionnaire given that my business is based in Bulgaria? If yes, how can I access this questionnaire since it doesn't appear in my Tax Forms section? Thanks, Menuu Dev team

2 Apps Stuck in "Waiting for Review" (6 & 23+ Days) — Expedited Review Approved but No Movement (2026)
Hello iOS Developer Community, I have two apps stuck in "Waiting for Review" and would appreciate any advice from developers who have faced a similar situation. 📱 App 1 — BookAstors (User App) Submission ID: 33bc446c-42aa-425d-9eba-2b79e88e9c9f Version: iOS 1.0.4 (Build 15) Date Submitted: March 17, 2026 Waiting since: 6+ days 📱 App 2 — Admin BookAstors (Admin Panel) Submission ID: c8af128f-0666-492a-bd88-3a2cad64d74c Version: iOS 1.0.5 (Build 8) Date Submitted: February 28, 2026 Waiting since: 23+ days Both apps are live on the App Store with an active user base. These updates contain critical bug fixes that our users and business operators are waiting on. The delay is directly impacting user experience and platform operations. I submitted an Expedited Review Request for both apps and received Apple's confirmation: "We'll expedite review for BookAstors / Admin BookAstors." However, even after the expedited request was accepted, neither app has moved from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review". Has anyone experienced such long delays in 2026 even after an expedited review was approved? How long did it eventually take to move forward? Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Setu Hariyani

After launching my first iOS app as an indie developer, what actions matter most now? 🚀📱
Hey everyone 👋 I have 14 years of experience in iOS development, starting in my mid-teens and later working as a senior and lead developer with Fortune 50 companies. Around 1.5 years ago I began my indie journey as a side hustle, and for the past 3 months I have been building apps full time with a growing portfolio and increasing revenue 📈 I currently handle everything myself including development, ASO, and design, with marketing planned for later 🚀 I just shipped a major release last week and taking a relaxed week now, so feel free to ask anything about iOS development, indie life, ASO, monetization, or related topics 💬

What’s the best way to improve my app’s rating and get more positive reviews?
My iOS app currently holds a 3.5★ rating with limited reviews, and I’d like to raise it by motivating happy users to share feedback. I’m looking for ethical ways to do this without being pushy. What are the best strategies and timing for review prompts to boost ratings while keeping users satisfied?

My app is off to a good start with early revenue. How do I optimize retention and increase user spending?
Focus on improving onboarding, reducing friction, and delivering quick value so users form a habit early. Use analytics to identify drop-off points and continuously refine the experience. Increase spending by introducing clear value-driven upgrades, limited-time offers, and personalized recommendations. Reward loyal users and test pricing strategies to find what converts best.

Crash on App Clip Subtitle Focus
Every time I try to focus on the subtitle field in the App Clip section, I encounter an error (as shown in the attached screenshot). This is blocking us from uploading a critical version of our app. We need assistance to proceed with the submission. I’ve already tried using Chrome, Safari and Firefox, but the issue persists.

First experience with App Store Connect
This is my first time submitting an app to the App Store. I uploaded a build through Xcode a few days ago, but no build is visible in my app record on App Store Connect (nor are any builds listed in the TestFlight tab). I haven't submitted the app for review yet, because I assumed it needs a build attached first. Did I miss a step in uploading the build?
