Icon Composer icons together with iOS 18 icons
I added a new liquid glass icon built with Icon Composer to my app. It works and looks great on iOS 26 but Xcode complains that required icon files for older versions are missing. I still have the old AppIcon in my Asset Catalog but it seems like it's not being used. How do I configure Xcode to use the old icons for iOS 18 and the new icon for iOS 26?

How To Position Controls With SwiftUI
I am coming from C#, where Forms and Controls are placed similar to Swift Storyboards. I have been trying to learn Storyboards, but keep running across tutorials regarding SwiftUI, and Storyboard examples are few. So the question becomes, "how do I position controls on a Form using SwiftUI?" See the example below. I have run across many videos that use either horizontal or vertical positioning of controls, but these examples are usually very simple, with items occupying only the center portion of the screen. I get stuck on examples that are more complicated. The example below only shows the controls for the upper part of a Form, with some type of textbox (Viewform) below making up the rest of the Form. How does one make more complicated placement of controls with SwiftUI?

iOS 26 Beta breaks scroll/gesture in SwiftUI chat (worked in iOS 18): Simultaneous gestures & ScrollViewReader issues
Hi all, After upgrading to the iOS 26 beta, the scrolling in my SwiftUI chat view is completely broken. The exact same code works perfectly on iOS 18. Context: I have a chat view using ScrollViewReader and a vertically-reversed ScrollView (with .rotationEffect(.degrees(180))). Each message row (MessageBubble) uses multiple simultaneousGesture handlers: Horizontal drag for swipe-to-reply (and other actions: pin, delete) Long press for showing popover/actions Vertical scroll for normal chat scrolling This was working great on iOS 18. In iOS 26 beta, the vertical scroll is either completely disabled, jittery, or hijacked by the message row’s drag gestures, even though .simultaneousGesture is used (see code below). Unable to find Slider/UISlider neutralValue
An WWDC 25 a neutral value was demonstrated that allows the Slider to be 'coloured in' from the point of the neutral value to the current thumb position. Trying to use this in Dev release 1 I get errors saying no such modifier. Was this functionality released in Dev Release 1 or am I using it incorrectly?

Set edge effect style in AppKit
In macOS 26 beta 2 it is possible to set an edge effect style via UIKit using the .scrollEdgeEffectStyle property. (note: I haven't tested this, I'm just looking at the documentation). See: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/swiftui/view/scrolledgeeffectstyle(_:for:) Is there an equivalent API for AppKit-based apps? I can't seem to find any additions in NSView or NSScrollView or elsewhere that seem relevant. Clearing an app’s memory, data etc.
My app works perfectly the first time it is used but when returning to the start after playing the game and playing another it does some random things. I figure it is because the app still retains the previous game in it’s memory allocation? My question is, what is the best way programmatically to have an app start fresh and not have to quit it and open it again?

Sheet background in share extension ignores Liquid Glass effect in iOS 26/Xcode 26
I’m developing a share extension for iOS 26 with Xcode 26. When the extension’s sheet appears, it always shows a full white background, even though iOS 26 introduces a new “Liquid Glass” effect for partial sheets. Expected: The sheet background should use the iOS 26 glassmorphism effect as seen in full apps. Actual behavior: Custom sheets in my app get the glass effect, but the native system sheet in the share extension always opens as plain white. Steps to reproduce: Create a share extension using UIKit Present any UIViewController as the main view Set modalPresentationStyle = .pageSheet (or leave as default) Observe solid white background, not glassmorphism Sample code: swift override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() view.backgroundColor = .clear preferredContentSize = CGSize(width: UIScreen.main.bounds.width, height: 300) } Troubleshooting attempted: Tried adding UIVisualEffectView with system blur/materials Removed all custom backgrounds Set modalPresentationStyle explicitly Questions: Is it possible to enable or force the Liquid Glass effect in share extensions on iOS 26? Using .glassEffect in Charts
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible (and advisable) to use the new glass effects available in iOS 26 in Swift Charts? For example, in a chart like the one in the image I've attached to this post, I was looking to try adding a .glassEffect modifier to the BarMarks to see how that would look and feel. However, it seems it's not available directly on the BarMark (ChartContent) type, and I'm having trouble adding it in other ways too, such as using in on the types I supply to modifiers like foregroundStyle or clipShape. Am I missing anything? Maybe it's just not advisable or necessary to use glass effects within Charts?

Liquid Glass clear variant
In this WWDC talk about liquid glass https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2025/219/ they mention that there are two variants of liquid glass, regular and clear. I don't see any way to try the clear variant using the .glassEffect() APIs, they only expose regular, is there some other way to try the clear variant?

Rejected because of 4.3 (a) spam
Hello. I've been struggling to get through the app review. It's been 3 months of constantly improving and adding new features to the app and getting rejected. A week ago i got a call from apple review team, and they said that my app shares the similar binary with other apps. They don't tell the specififcs or details. My app is a vpn app that is written by me in flutter. The only native code i have is a library that i use to work with vpn. I changed the entirity of the library, but still can't get pass. Although, the only think left is the xray-core (https://github.com/XTLS/Xray-core) framework that implemented as .xcframework to use vless protocol. Does apple check .xcramework for similarity? i can't rewrite the framework, because it written in a go language.

UISplitView with "sidebar" and Liquid Glass
I have a couple of (older) UIKit-based Apps using UISplitViewController on the iPad to have a two-column layout. I'm trying to edit the App so it will shows the left column as sidebar with liquid glass effect, similar to the one in the "Settings" App of iPadOS 26. But this seems to be almost impossible to do right now. "out of the box" the UISplitViewController already shows the left column somehow like a sidebar, with some margins to the sides, but missing the glass effect and with very little contrast to the background. If the left column contains a UITableViewController, I can try to get the glass effect this way within the UITableViewController: tableView.backgroundColor = .clear tableView.backgroundView = UIVisualEffectView(effect: UIGlassContainerEffect()) It is necessary to set the backgroundColor of the table view to the clear color because otherwise the default background color would completely cover the glass effect and so it's no longer visible. It is also necessary to set the background of all UITableViewCells to clear. If the window is in the foreground, this will now look very similar to the sidebar of the Settings App. However if the window is in the back, the sidebar is now much darker than the one of the Settings App. Not that nice looking, but for now acceptable. However whenever I navigate to another view controller in the side bar, all the clear backgrounds destroy the great look, because the transition to the new child controller overlaps with the old parent controller and you see both at the same time (because of the clear backgrounds). What is the best way to solve these issues and get a sidebar looking like the one of the Settings App under all conditions?

TabView - .search roles
I'm having some difficulty with a tabview and getting the new search bar to expand from the search icon. The end goal here: have the tab view search "tab" open the OverseerrView.swift (Discover) view, activate the animated search bar, and search the input text to the performSearch() function. I have similar needs on other tab views, and am trying to move away from needing to manually create a search bar, when one should work from the .search role. Is there an example project with this search in the tab that I can reference? the landmarks sample project sadly did not include one.

iOS 26 Floating Search Tab in UIKit
Does anyone have any documentation for how to achieve the floating search tab item in UIKit apps that use UITabBarController? The Liquid Glass UIKit video had code for minimizing the tab bar on scroll down, but I didn't see anything on keeping the search button locked to the bottom trailing edge (as in this screenshot below).

Question: How to support landscape-only on iPad app after 'Support for all orientations will soon be required' warning
Dear Apple Customer Support, I’m developing a new Swift iPadOS app and I want the app to run in landscape only (portrait disabled). In Xcode, under Target > General > Deployment Info > Device Orientation, if I select only Landscape Left and Landscape Right, the app builds successfully, but during upload/validation I receive this message and the upload is blocked: “Update the Info.plist: Support for all orientations will soon be required.” Could you please advise what the correct/recommended way is to keep an iPad app locked to landscape only while complying with the current App Store upload requirements? Is there a specific Info.plist configuration (e.g., UISupportedInterfaceOrientations~ipad) or another setting that should be used? Thank you,

Wrong unit in HIG > Components > System Experiences > Widget > watchOS widget dimensions
Hello, I noticed a small mistake in the Human Interface Guidelines (HIG). On the page HIG > Components > System Experiences > Widget > watchOS Widget Dimensions, scroll down to the bottom. In the "watchOS widget dimensions" section, the sizes in the table are in pixels (px), not points (pt) actually. However, the table header indicates the sizes should be in points (pt). AreaMark Always alignsMarkStylesWithPlotArea for linear gradients
I'm trying to make a Swift Chart where 24 AreaMarks an hour apart on X axis over a day display a vertical gradient. The gradient is vertical and is essentially [Color.opacity(0.1),Colour,Color.opacity(0.1] The idea here is where the upper and lower points of each AreaMark are the same or close to each other in the Y axis, the chart essentially displays a line, where they are far apart you get a nice fading vertical gradient. However, it seems that the .alignsMarkStylesWithPlotArea modifier is always set for AreaMarks even if manually applying it false. Investigating further, I've learnt that with AreaMarks in a series, Swift Charts seems to only listen to the first foreground style set in. Are AreaMarks the correct choice or are they just not setup to create this type of data display. Thanks

Open UIViewController when QR Code is scanned
Hi developers, I have a question if it is possible to open in my application not main window but a specific ViewController, when application is installed but not running. When the application is running in background and I scan QR code, then specific ViewController is opened over SceneDelegate and method 'userActivity'.
