I just updated my MacBook Pro to Big Sur and my external SSD ejects itself not long after loading onto the desktop. I'm getting a message that says, 'Eject Extreme SSD before disconnecting or turning it toff' and the SSD ejects. Can't do anything with it. I read that Catalina had the same bug which was fixed but wasn't fixed for Big Sur. Any help would be appreciated. I have all my client work on the ExSSD.

After restart, an error screen appears stating there was an error and to press any key to restart or wait. I let it continue a reboot loop about 5 time, then attempted restrore. I’ve tried all restore options, and none of them are allowing me to proceed, except Command R to reinstall Big Sur. But the same error occurs for Big Sur.

Was upgrading to Big Sur - cleared space needed to download. Downloaded successful. Started install. Installer demanded another 20GB of free space for install. How do I interrupt and remove downloaded package from this point? Thanks in advance. Keith
Hi my MacBook Pro stopped updating at Big Sur although it’s not old it’s 2015. So to use the new SwiftUI features isn’t enough to upgrade to Xcode 14 or it won’t install on my machine ? Kindest Regards
Hello all. I'm running Big Sur 20A4299v with my 16-inch MacBook Pro and after the beta install, the Display Port audio has ceased the work. Has anyone else come across this bug yet? Thanks y'all.
Well it seems that the drivers for the ethernet adapters are probably going to need updating. Does anyone know where I can find the updated driver for Big Sur? I had this issue with the last beta and just remembered it now that I'm without an ethernet adapter to use. I use the 3 Gig adapter from Amazon Basics and it's worked excellent.
I had a Big Sur MacMini update (non Beta) get stuck and nothing would fix it, so I then decided to go to Monterey (beta). After some initial problems, related to a Big Sur update waiting in the wings, the Monterey installation started - and then got stuck. The same problem: got so far then no further, time after time. I tried Safe Mode start-ups, but to no avail. During a shutdown, which also seemed to be blocked, I became aware of HDD noise from the networked backup drive. A backup was in progress! When I turned off automatic backups in TimeMachine (and disconnected the drive), the Monterey install worked - and I suspect the Big Sur update would have done also.
Anyone able to use Dropbox in macOS Big Sur? It won't launch on startup for me. And when I try to open the app from the icon it does nothing.
