Reply to DeclaredAgeRange framework new cases and properties cause runtime crash with missing symbol
The crash issue that @edorphy reported in FB21121092 is resolved when you build the app with the released Xcode 26.2 version that came out today, build number 17C52. This version is not the same build as the Xcode 16.2 Release Candidate, so make sure to update to the final release version. @edorphy, had a follow-up statement to me for a different but related issue: you or others may have already seen this one but just in case you haven't: FB21240249 - DeclaredAgeRange: DeclaredAgeRangeAction symbol unavailable on macOS catalyst apps causing crash - documentation says otherwise I appreciate that! I personally had not seen this report, though others within Apple have. We're looking in to it. — Ed Ford,  DTS Engineer

[iOS 26 Beta] BGTaskScheduler.supportedResources incorrectly reports no GPU support for BGContinuedProcessingTask on capable hardware
Testing Environment: iOS: 26.0 Beta 7 Xcode: Beta 6 Description: We are implementing the new BGContinuedProcessingTask API introduced in iOS 26. We have followed the official documentation and WWDC session guidance to configure our project. The Background Modes (processing) and Background GPU Access capabilities have been added in Xcode. The com.apple.developer.background-tasks.continued-processing.gpu entitlement is present and set to in the .entitlements file. The provisioning profile details viewed within Xcode explicitly show that the Background GPU Access capability and the corresponding entitlement are included. Despite this correct configuration, when running the app on supported hardware (iPhone 16 Pro), a call to BGTaskScheduler.supportedResources.contains(.gpu) consistently returns false. This prevents us from setting request.requiredResources = .gpu. As a result, when the BGContinuedProcessingTask starts without the GPU resource flag, our internal Metal-based exporter att

"Signing certificate" and post-installation assignment fail due to IOPCIPrimaryMatch
I'm having trouble configuring the IOPCIPrimaryMatch entitlement. I'm currently developing using sign to run locally and have been able to confirm the expected behavior. I was considering signing with Developer ID Application for future distribution to customers, but after finding the following forum, I'm now aiming to sign with Apple Development. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/743021 I'm currently having trouble with the IOPCIPrimaryMatch value. The signing certificate status in Xcode changes depending on the value, as follows: Successful if the value is as follows: IOPCIPrimaryMatch 0xFFFFFFFF&0x00161916 An error occurs if the value is as follows: IOPCIPrimaryMatch 0xFFFFFFFF&0x00161916 So I tried building and installing using 0xFFFFFFFF&0x00161916, but this time the driver was not assigned to the PCI device. By the way, when I used sign to run locally, both the installation and assignment were successful with the following: IOPCIPrimaryMatch 0xFFFFFFFF&0x00161916 Could y

Can reproduce in SpeakerBox that CallKit doesn't activate audiosession when call finished by remote caller
I can reproduce the bug that CallKit doesn't active audiosession after the outgoing call put on hold because of an incoming call. VoIP calling with CallKit Steps to reproduce: Download SpeakerBox example app from the link above and start it with XCode Start a new outgoing call Call your phone from other phone Hold and Accept the call After a few secs finish the call from the other phone The outgoing call will be still on hold Click on the call and click Toggle Hold The call won't be active again because the audiosession is activated. Reply to Exporting and re-importing ECC keys with file-based keychain
The weird thing is, SecKeyCreateRandomKey() does create an entry with the correct ACL where only my program can access the key. In all cases I'm creating the ACL simply like so: SecAccessCreate(label as CFString, nil, &acl) The program should also have a valid code signature, because otherwise macOS doesn't even let it start up. Running from a terminal immediately results in Killed: 9, with the Console program showing an accompanying ASP: Security policy would not allow process, and opening from Finder results in The application “something.app” can’t be opened. And indeed, I do have a Personal Team set in Xcode, it's just not enrolled in the paid developer program. I did also notice that my signed executables actually ran even without updates within a year, so I simply figured that it works because my Personal Team's certificate was still in fact signed by Apple, it just doesn't have access to any restricted entitlements. Since I'm not using those, there's also no provisioning profile to deal wit

Reply to Xcode 26 CompileMetalFile failed
I also have the same problem on a MacStudio M1Max (and not on a MBP M1Max) after upgrading to Xcode 26.1.1: no MetalToolchain accessible from this application. Running on Tahoe 26.1 Running today xcodebuild -downloadComponent metalToolchain gives: `Beginning asset download... ARKit Body Tracking not detecting ARBodyAnchor on iOS 26.x (FB15128723)
Since updating to iOS 26.0 (and confirmed on 26.1), ARBodyTrackingConfiguration no longer detects a valid ARBodyAnchor on devices with LiDAR (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max). This issue reproduces in custom projects and Apple’s official sample “Capturing Body Motion in 3D”. The AR session runs normally, but the delegate call: func session(_ session: ARSession, didUpdate anchors: [ARAnchor]) never yields an ARBodyAnchor with valid joint transforms. All joints return nil when calling: body.skeleton.modelTransform(for: jointName) resulting in 0 valid joints per frame. Environment • Device: iPhone 17 Pro Max (LiDAR) • iOS: 26.0 / 26.1 • Xcode: 16.0 (stable) • Framework: ARKit + RealityKit • Configuration used: config.worldAlignment = .gravityAndHeading config.isAutoFocusEnabled = true config.environmentTexturing = .none session.run(config) Also tested: with and without frameSemantics = .bodyDetection Expected Behavior ARBodyAnchor should be detected and body.skeleton should contain ~89 valid join

Provisioning profile failed qualification - SensorKit Reader Access entitlement issue during app distribution
Hello, I'm currently developing an iOS app that uses SensorKit. Everything works fine in development and testing — the app correctly requests and receives SensorKit permissions on test devices. In my App ID configuration, the SensorKit Reader Access entitlement (com.apple.developer.sensorkit.reader.allow) is included and visible in Xcode under the project’s entitlements list. However, when I try to archive and distribute the app, I get the following errors in Xcode: Provisioning profile failed qualification Profile doesn't support SensorKit Reader Access. Provisioning profile failed qualification Profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.sensorkit.reader.allow entitlement. Even though my provisioning profile includes this entitlement, Xcode still refuses to distribute the app. Here’s what I’ve confirmed so far: The provisioning profile lists com.apple.developer.sensorkit.reader.allow in its entitlements. SensorKit works perfectly in debug and development builds. The issue only

Reply to Exporting and re-importing ECC keys with file-based keychain
First up, you’re correct that there’s a contradiction here: Apple has effectively deprecated the file-base keychain in favour of the data protection keychain. But the Personal Team limits, which come from iOS, run counter to the expectations of macOS developers. I don’t have any answers for you on that front, but if you file a bug describing this contradiction and post the bug number here, I’ll make sure that the relevant folks see it. Coming back to your real issue, there’s a lot to unpack there and I don’t have time to dig into it all. However, you seem to have bumped into a pretty fundamental limitation: You want the system to protect your item such that only your program can access it. But you’re not giving it any code-signing credentials to do that. Something has to give. The file-based keychain has a bunch of legacy access control centred around code-signing requirements — see TN3127 Inside Code Signing: Requirements — so that’s one thing you might explore. But that still requires you to have a stable c

Xcode Cloud won't load from Xcode or App Store Connect
I am setting up a new app and am having problems with Xcode Cloud. From Xcode if I click on the Cloud button under the Report Navigator I get a spinner for a long time then get the message Could not load Xcode Cloud data. I also visited the Xcode Cloud tab under my app in App Store Connect and I get a spinner and nothing loads. This is a recent account and I'm setting up Xcode Cloud for the first time. Below is what I've tried and I'm out of ideas on how to get this working. In Xcode, I signed out and back in as the Account Holder Closed Xcode and reopened This occurred yesterday and today and have not seen a problem under the Apple System Status page On the latest Xcode 16.2 Checked the Signing & Capabilities tab in Xcode and my team a bundle Id is correct and it's happy with signing. At this time on my machine I am using the distribution profile.
Same issue here.
Are you specifically referring to the com.apple.CommCenter.fine-grained? If so, are you seeing this problem only with Xcode Cloud builds? Or are you seeing it when you build with Xcode locally?
